Seven years ago, Kaepernick took the 49ers to the Super Bowl. It was the last time San Francisco made it here. But Kaepernick has been missing from the week-long hoopla ahead of this game between the Niners and Chiefs, a period when stars past and present are typically paraded around and feted. Former quarterback Jeff Garcia and running back Frank Gore, who was once Kaepernick’s teammate with the 49ers, were among the former San Francisco players on “Radio Row” here this week.
Meanwhile, Kaepernick, the last San Francisco star to take the team on a run like this, has been a ghost.
“They’re trying to erase him,” said New York Giants safety Michael Thomas, a vice president with the NFL Players Association. “Even if you’re not going to talk about the controversial part, at least talk about what he did on the field—which was electrifying.”

Fake News.
Nobody cares about that piece of human San Francisco crap.....
It didn’t take the league long to figure out Kaeperdick.
He’s got no arm... and had no arm.
Not glaring. He was never expected.
I don’t follow football, but even I knew that no pro team wanted Colin after that goofy ‘no show’ workout.
That was likely his last chance for a long time.
I don’t follow all of the ins and outs of the Kapernick story, but, isn’t it a fact that he would be huge distraction if he was there?
I wonder if he was asked not to be there?
yeah, electrifying.
This guy has burned every bridge imaginal behind him. The latest was the “workout” stunt.
Good news story!
He shouldn’t have been such a prima donna
imaginable
Yet no matter how much energy is put into erasing Kaepernick from our memory, he will be far more remembered in 100 years than the vast majority who have ever played in a Super Bowl.
Kaepernick led the 49ers at the 2013 Super Bowl.Don't expect a mention https://t.co/bLly9CPMvB— NESSA (@nessnitty) January 29, 2020
Yes, I remember that scheduled workout.
As I recall, he didn’t show up and did his own workout somewhere else?
I’m sure the powers that be in the NFL, who set up that workout in the first place, were not happy with that.
I also think that all 32 teams passed on Kapernick, in part, because he would be a distraction, and doesn’t “add value” so to speak.
Wasn’t he at best a journeyman quarterback, never a big NFL star?
If you are an NFL GM, trying to improve your team, would you really go for a lightning rod such as Capernick on your team?
Destructive loonies do find a way into the history books.
The 49ers are in the Super Bowl because of his absence.
Hillary said it best: Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him. He got nothing done,
Applies to Kap as well
Complete loser anti American anti police Antifa type
Almost singlehandedly destroyed the good pro America game
He should move to Cuba or Venezuela
Ummm ... no. He ERASED HIMSELF.
IF the nfl had moved to shut him down the league would have retained more of its fanbase.
I wouldn’t be surprised if theres SRO (standing room only) admission. But there isn’t any KRO (Kneeling Room Only) admission, because it’s hard to see the game. /S
