Obama is quite possibly the worst ruler America has had since King George III. In the past six years, we have seen scandals, bald lies, intimidation, and a host of other nefarious and unethical dealings come straight from the Obama Administration. Just look at just some of the Administration’s failures: an anemic response to Putin regarding Ukraine, coverups on Benghazi and the IRS targeting of conservative groups, the NSA’s spying on Americans, and the tragic failure of Fast & Furious. This is why so many Americans are calling for Obama’s impeachment. This includes Congressmen, a Senator, former Judges, a former...

Tick.... Undocumented immigrants are expected to make up a larger share of Connecticut's uninsured population next year, putting "new financial pressures on safety-net hospitals" that provide emergency care to everyone, state and national health experts predict. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) provides coverage options for legal immigrants, but those in the U.S. illegally cannot apply for Medicaid, even if they are poor, or buy coverage at Access Health CT (the new insurance marketplace), even if they have cash. That means undocumented residents without coverage will continue turning to local emergency departments for care at a time when Connecticut hospitals face...

For the second week in a row, the Washington Healthplanfinder website is down, and it's causing problems for people who are dealing with billing issues. Some of them say the website is mistakenly debiting their accounts. Shannon Bruner of Indianola logged on to her checking account Monday morning, and found she was almost 800 dollars in the negative. “The first thing I thought was, ‘I got screwed,’” she said.

Four state representatives announced today that they are introducing legislation to block Obamacare in Georgia. State representative Jason Spencer (R-Woodbine), with three other representatives, will hold a press conference on Monday, Dec. 16 to discuss the proposal. In a press release, Rep. Spencer explained the bill’s goal: The bill’s main thrust is to prohibit state agencies, officers and employees of the state from implementing any provisions of the Affordable Care Act, leaving implementation entirely in the hands of the federal government, which lacks the resources or personnel to carry out the programs it mandates. Michael Boldin of the Tenth Amendment...

In October, Obama took to the Rose Garden to praise Connecticut’s state-run ACA exchange, Access Health CT, for being a rare success story among the nationwide failures of state exchanges and the federal exchange. Local CT media was quick to point out his speech was misleading, however. In his push to encourage the young to sign up, Obama mentioned that one-third of Connecticut enrollees were under 35, and were now receiving “a good deal at low cost.” In reality, a full two-thirds of that one-third had signed on for Medicaid or CHIP, programs which fit the description of “welfare,” not...

President Obama walked away with the dubious distinction today of having uttered PolitiFact's Lie of the Year for 2013. And the claim that earned him this lack of honor? PolitiFact Oregon, relying on great writing and research by our national counterpart, presents it here: "If you like your health care plan, you can keep it." When PolitiFact examined the assertion last month, it gave Obama a Pants on Fire rating, not only for erroneously telling people that, under his Affordable Care Act, they could keep their health insurance plans if they liked them, but by then suggesting he and his...

“If an individual tries to sign up by Dec. 23rd but experiences an issue with the marketplace, they qualify for a special enrollment period and gain coverage as soon as possible,” the Department of Health and Human Services said in new guidance HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius also said that insurers would be required to provide coverage to individuals who pay for their plans by Dec. 31. Previously, insurance companies could have set an earlier deadline for payment. At the same time, the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Program — which was supposed to expire at the end of this year — will...

On Wednesday, House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa sent a letter to Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, angrily telling her that HHS’ attempts to block contractors from giving information to Congress on Obamacare was a violation of law. On December 6, HHS told Creative Computing Solutions, Inc. not to give information to the Oversight Committee, stating, “If you receive a request for this information from Congress, CMS will respond directly to the requestor[.]”

President Obama and his allies have consistently argued that his health care law was prudent, because without it, uninsured individuals would continue to show up at hospitals and receive care without paying, thus driving up costs on everybody else. But now, the Wall Street Journal has reported, hospitals are concerned that the law could exacerbate this problem, known as uncompensated care. The reason stems from the high deductibles in health care plans offered on Obamacare's new government-run exchanges. A deductible is the amount that individuals must pay for care before the benefits of a health insurance policy kick in. As...

Yesterday’s New York Times piece on Obamacare’s high deductibles hammers home one of the surprising results of Obamacare — that a lot of people aren’t just paying more, but in fact face having less insurance...

Couldn't we just as easily say "GM has now repaid every taxpayer dollar the previous Administration committed to its rescue, plus billions invested by my Administration?" Via WhiteHouse.gov: When I took office, the American auto industry – the heartbeat of American manufacturing – was on the verge of collapse. Two of the Big Three – GM and Chrysler – were on the brink of failure, threatening to take suppliers, distributors and entire communities down with them. In the midst of what was already the worst recession since the Great Depression, another one million Americans were in danger of losing their...

The U.S. government ended up losing $10.5 billion US on its bailout of General Motors, but still says the alternative would have been much worse. Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew announced Monday that the government sold its remaining shares in the Detroit automaker. The government received 912 million GM shares, or a 60.8 per cent stake in the automaker, in exchange for a $49.5 billion bailout during the financial crisis in 2008 and 2009. It recovered $39 billion of the money, meaning taxpayers came up more than $10 billion short.

A former senior intelligence official told me that the Obama administration had altered the available information – in terms of its timing and sequence – to enable the president and his advisers to make intelligence retrieved days after the attack look as if it had been picked up and analysed in real time, as the attack was happening.

If you want to keep your doctor, you might have to pay more for it, Obamacare architect Zeke Emanuel said today on Fox News Sunday: The host, Chris Wallace, said: "President Obama famously promised, if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Doesn't that turn out to be just as false, just as misleading, as his promise about if you like your plan, you can keep your plan? Isn't it a fact, sir, that a number, most, in fact, of the Obamacare health plans that are being offered on the exchanges exclude a number of doctors and hospitals...

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: Look, as for Harry Reid, I can't believe it's a coordinated campaign. It's too insane. I think it's Harry Reid wearing, trying on a tin hat. And I would just say, Harry, give it up. You can argue all you want but the sunrises in the west, it's not going to work. And you get this sort of speaking against the wind on things that, as Kirsten says, are empirically untrue. People are receiving cancellations. They know they lost their insurance. There is no way to talk around it. The other thing that the Obama administration, the White...

On November 19, 1863 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, President Lincoln gave his famous Gettysburg Address, arguably the most famous speech in history. On November 19, 2013, the first black President of the United States blew off the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. This from a President who has repeatedly claimed he had much in common with President Lincoln. The White House spin zone worked frantically on some kind of an acceptable excuse for the snub but the truth is pretty obvious, President Obama would be smart to avoid any side-by-side comparison to President Lincoln. These two men don’t have subtle differences; they...

Apparently the media is growing tired of the White House selectively releasing ObamaCare data that gets to the heart of nothing but makes the program look like it is much more popular than it likely is. For instance, today the White House informed the media that between Sunday and Friday, Healthcare.gov enjoyed 3.7 million visits. We have also been told that the site's error rate was .077 percent, the response time averaged under a second, and a whopping (and improbable) 93% of consumers did come back later after they were asked to due to the site being too busy. As...

How bad is the error rate for consumers who have enrolled in Obamacare insurance plans through the HealthCare.gov website? Bad enough that Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the information in a Friday afternoon document dump. And bad enough that liberal cheerleaders are claiming a huge success that the error rate has dropped from 25% to less than 10%(!). First, the story that CMS was trying to hide: After refusing for weeks to detail the extent of back-end problems with healthcare.gov, the Obama administration on Friday said a technical bug affected approximately 25 percent of enrollments on the...

Young people reject Obama’s gamble with their future; they prefer online casinos. President Obama is back selling his health-care law with the manic intensity of a late-night-infomercial pitchman who knows that if he doesn’t move the product, it could be discontinued. Here’s Obama aiming his comments at young people this Wednesday: “The product is good. It’s affordable. This is a big deal, to quote Joe Biden. And if you’re a student-body president, set up a conference on campus. If you’re a bartender, have a happy hour.” But it’s the president who may need a drink after viewing the latest poll...

December 05, 2013, 02:12 pm WH admits Obama briefly stayed with uncle By Mario Trujillo The White House confirmed on Thursday President Obama had met his uncle, Onyango Obama, who was granted legal residency to the country this week — reversing a previous statement. The White House had previously told The Boston Globe that the president had never met his uncle, after Onyango — referred to as Omar — was arrested in 2011 for drunk driving. But it revised its statement on Thursday, saying the press office had not actually asked the president about his relationship with his uncle before...
