Former NFL quarterback turned social justice grifter Colin Kaepernick compared playing professional football to slavery. He even had a Netflix special in which he invoked the slavery label across the entire National Football League with team owners and coaches being the slavedrivers. One would think that after such a traumatic experience, the last place he’d ever want to work again would be in the NFL. One who thought that would be wrong. “For The past 5 years I’ve been working out and staying ready in case an opportunity to play presented itself. I’m really grateful to my trainer, who I’ve...

Aaron Rodgers won't be on the field when the Green Bay Packers take on the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday. The reigning league MVP has tested positive for COVID-19, per CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora, shortly after practice squad quarterback Kurt Benkert was also placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list with a positive test. That leaves Jordan Love as the only other quarterback on the Packers roster and guarantees he'll get the start against Patrick Mahomes and Co. in Week 9.

Former Washington state high school football coach Joe Kennedy lost his job more than five years ago for silently praying on the field after each game, but his ongoing unemployment and an extended legal battle are not enough to deter the former Marine from his fight for faith. While coaching at Bremerton High School, Kennedy began kneeling alone in a silent, 15-second prayer at the 50-yard line at the conclusion of every game. He was suspended and later fired in 2015 for refusing to stop the public practice. Kennedy, a retired Marine Corps gunnery sergeant who did a combat tour...

He said teammate Ryan Hollingshead turned to him afterward and said he was sorry. “You can't even have support from your own fans in your own stadium. It's baffling to me,” Cannon said. "As a team we try to give the best possible...

The lone white candidate in the race for the Massachusetts 12th Suffolk House seat — a district made up of 70% Black residents — is dropping out in the wake of the national civil rights movement that was sparked by the police killing of George Floyd. Cam Charbonnier, a longtime aide for Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, cited this “inspiring” movement in his decision to leave the race as he wrote in a letter on Thursday, “I realize that this is not my moment.” “… It has become clear to me that at this time and in this district, I may...

No more 50-yard line, compromised apologies. Stand and worship. Stand and pray. Stand and make a real difference and stand for your country !We are in an unbelievable season where our nation’s cities are being attacked and held hostage by shipped-in, paid rioters and protesters. We are under siege with anarchists hiding behind George Floyd, a few bad cops and the endless sea of acting out leftists who hate Trump simply because he breathes air. We are seeing some burning flags in protests and the infamous ‘take a knee’ movement is growing with taking a knee cropping up at public...

“I don’t believe it’s the time or place to be doing that,” Catanzara told the station. “If you kneel, you’ll be risking being brought up on charges and thrown out of the lodge.” “Specifically this weekend,” he said. “This was about defunding and abolishing the police officers. And you’re going to take a knee for that? It’s ridiculous.” Catanzara, who took heat in 2017 for posting a Facebook photo in uniform with a sign supporting President Donald Trump and gun rights, said cops now kneeling for protestors are doing the same thing — just on the other end of the...

In an unprecedented display of public contrition, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees set a new record over the weekend for apologies by an NFL quarterback, saying he was sorry 742 times in the space of 48 hours. After controversially stating his personal preference for standing during the National Anthem, the Super Bowl MVP unleashed a heretofore unseen sequence of remorse, explaining that he meant to say people should kneel, or should not not kneel, or should not tell others not to not kneel. He then apologized for not being aware of the things he should apologize for, and he...

For years it’s seemed like Trump’s famous line about how he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and not lose any votes has been getting truer. When he first said it during the campaign it was a half-joke about the devout loyalty of his supporters. It’s not really a joke anymore. He actually could shoot someone, I think, and count on his hardcore base to instantly start arguing that it was justifiable homicide, whatever the circumstances. There’s literally nothing he could do to alienate them. Not a thing.Or so I thought. But then I read this and it rocked...

A former national surrogate for Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., ripped into white congressional Democrats on Monday after they wore African-patterned garb and knelt in a demonstration against racism and police brutality. "I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact that they draped these white people in kente cloth to 'honor' him. This has to be hell," author Frederick Joseph tweeted, also arguing that black Americans are "being pandered to, and ultimately, disrespected." In a tweet thread, he argued that Democrats were failing in their attempts to be helpful amid ongoing strife surrounding George Floyd's death. He specifically took aim...
