Calls to boycott Major League Baseball spiked Tuesday after the league posted a photo of some San Francisco Giants players kneeling during the national anthem prior to an exhibition game.
The hashtag #BoycottMLB trended on Twitter as some social-media commentators accused the league of showing a lack of respect for the military, which the league denied.

The kneelers included Giants manager Gabe Kapler, who said he planned to use his platform to “demonstrate my dissatisfaction with our clear systemic racism in our country,” according to ESPN.
“I wanted them to know that I wasn’t pleased with the way our country has handled police brutality, and I told them I wanted to amplify their voices, and I wanted to amplify the voice of the Black community and marginalized communities as well,” Kapler said.

Going to be very interesting to see what these ‘athletes’ are going to be doing to collect any kind of paycheck when there is no more revenue to pay them in baseball. Or basketball. Or football.
Empty stadiums are the least of it.
If people stop watching/streaming/listening, the league is screwed.
They can peacefully go broke. It’s never been about the military or the flag, it’s about supporting people who support me. They support BLM, Antifa and the like. We’ll see how good they are at filling up stadiums, buying merchandise and other stuff that they actually have to pay for rather than loot.

The last time I went to a pro baseball game was when the Edmonton Trappers were still around.

They should tell us what it s “about” by writing it down and giving an argument for it instead of just making a disrespectful gesture. They might find their point more difficult to articulate and justify than to assume insulting bodily positions,

This is a terrible thing for baseball. Many kids have already lost interest in it. We took our grandkids to games, but they actually think it’s a boring game to play. We might take them to minor league games next year if they don’t kneel.
