Sunday night (April 14) was slated to be a triumphant first for Billy Joel. After half a century in the music business, the Piano Man was headed to prime time for his first-ever broadcast network concert special, The 100th: Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden – The Greatest Arena Run of All Time. Announced during this year’s Super Bowl and taped on March 28 during Joel’s 100th consecutive performance at the legendary New York city venue, the show was slated to run from 9-11 p.m. on CBS. Unfortunately, the network’s live coverage of the Masters golf tournament pushed back the...

The race for mayor in liberal Pueblo, Colorado, was turned upside down Tuesday when a Republican member of the city council ran for mayor and won. Back in November 2022, city council president and owner of Graham’s Grill and Ruby’s, Heather Graham, announced her run for mayor of Pueblo, Colorado. Graham may have seemed like a long shot, being a Republican in the famously liberal city. “This community that we love has been going in the wrong direction the last few years. I just can’t sit back and do nothing,” Graham said when she launched her campaign, according to The...

Many Coloradans may not realize this, but this Tuesday will be a seismic turning point for our beautiful state. Primary voters will either head us down a path towards prosperity, or down a road to relentless government overreach in the state known for being the new frontier. In just three and a half years, Jared Polis and his party have taken us from number 11 to 29 in business-friendly states, driven us to No. 1 in bank robberies, auto theft, and property crime, and created a crisis for our kids with one of the top suicide rates and drug addiction...

Senator Ted Cruz called out his neighbors for leaking text messages inviting them to join a controversial family trip to Cancun, Mexico, while millions of Texans remained without electricity and water last week during severe winter weather. The Texas Republican received swift backlash after photos of him boarding a flight last Wednesday to the tourist hot spot with his family circulated online. Responding to the criticism, Cruz quickly booked a return flight to Texas for the next day, saying he had been trying to be a "good dad." But the backlash persisted, with Democrats and some Republicans strongly criticizing the...

The group chat was labelled “XXXX Lovelies” (presumably the name of their street); it included some of the women in the Cruz family’s neighbourhood. The subject was the cold weather they were experiencing in Texas, but it quickly turned to going away, when Heidi, the wife of Republican Senator Ted Cruz, asked whether any of the families were up for a trip to Cancun. The Cruz family getaway, of course, went viral, and the Texas senator, 50, faced fierce backlash after pictures emerged of the couple and their two daughters, Caroline, 12, and Cathryn, 10, flying out of the state...

Cruz’s wife, Heidi, was seen on the sand wearing a red bikini under blue beach umbrellas, video and photos obtained by The Post show.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) admitted Thursday that he had planned on spending longer than he did in Cancún, in a spur-of-the-moment trip his wife tried to recruit friends and neighbors to join that was motivated by Texas’ frigid temperatures, according to texts obtained by the New York Times, following widespread outrage over a vacation Cruz initially claimed was driven by his daughters and their friends. The senator’s wife, Heidi Cruz, tried to recruit friends for the trip on Wednesday and noted their house was “FREEZING,” the Times reported Thursday, citing texts obtained from a group chat. She proposed staying at...

A body found inside a northwest Harris County home is believed to be that of missing Austin mother Heidi Broussard, according to sources. An autopsy will likely be performed Friday. At least one person is in custody. The leftist organization that confronted Senator Ted Cruz and his wife in a D.C. restaurant on Monday night has continued the harassment on Tuesday with a tweet addressing the Senator and other Republicans which reads, “You are not safe. We will find you.” “This is a message to Ted Cruz, Bret Kavanaugh, Donald Trump and the rest of the racist, sexist, transphobic, and homophobic right-wing scum: You are not safe. We will find you. We will expose you. We will take from you the peace you have taken from so many others.” As Paul Joseph Watson notes, the tweet is...

President Donald Trump had a busy schedule Wednesday but stayed out of the public eye and kept his tweets to a minimum. Press secretary Sean Spicer emphasized Trump’s support for the House Republicans’ bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Tonight, the president and first lady dined with Sen. Ted Cruz, his wife Heidi, and their two daughters. And Jon Huntsman may be the next ambassador to Russia. Here’s what you need to know. Highlight of the day Trump spent most of the day in private meetings. In the morning, he met with education activist Laurene Powell Jobs, who is...

President Donald Trump will sit down for dinner Wednesday night with Sen. Ted Cruz, roughly a year after the two men waged a deeply personal and ugly primary fight for the Republican presidential nomination. The White House meal comes as the President and the Texas senator potentially find themselves in yet another tense face-off. Trump endeavors to push a health care plan through Congress, but conservatives like Cruz have expressed serious concerns about the trajectory of the repeal and replace effort. Cruz has not gone as far as other colleagues, such as Sen. Rand Paul and Sen. Mike Lee, in...

On the crucial last day before Indiana's do-or-die election, Ted Cruz has no rallies, and the Cruz family plans no time together. Ted Cruz and (Heidi with Carly) will be touring different parts of the state in two separate buses. Ted and Heidi will start this day half-a-state apart from each other, with Ted having breakfast in Osceola Indiana, while Heidi and Carly breakfast three hours away at a bakery in Brownsburg Indiana. Heidi and Carly have also announced their plans for lunch, ice cream, and pancakes, and then pizza for dinner, in suburbs that ring Indianapolis. Meanwhile, Ted will...

GREENFIELD, Ind. — At a campaign stop just days before the critical Indiana primary, Heidi Cruz, wife of Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, said one of her husband's strengths in the campaign is that he "is an immigrant." "Ted is an immigrant," Mrs. Cruz said, emphasizing the word "is." "He is Hispanic."

Ted Cruz showed up Wednesday for a CNN town hall—or what Gawker frames as "another glimpse into the waking hell that is Heidi Cruz’s daily life"—with his wife and two young daughters in tow, and Heidi offered up a personal, if bizarre, nugget of life with the GOP presidential candidate. She dished on what her husband did right after they got back from their honeymoon: bought 100 cans of Campbell's Chunky soup. "I never bought 100 of anything," she told moderator Anderson Cooper. "This was shocking to me, so we had a tough conversation about it. I said, "You don't...

Heidi Cruz and former Presidential candidate Carly Fiorina spoke on behalf of Presidential candidate Ted Cruz in Fond du Lac Wednesday evening. Fiorina told the gathering Republican frontrunner Donald Trump has made his billions buying people like Hillary Clinton off. She says he won’t challenge the system or restore power. Heidi Cruz pushed her husband’s platform and promised national security is important and Isis is a top target. She says her husband was meant to run for president and is certain he can beat Hillary Clinton. Many people came to hear Cruz’s message, but one onlooker says she brought her...

Plenty of buzz about this last night, especially among anti-Trumpers struck by the coincidence of Trump superfan Newt criticizing him publicly on the same day that an even bigger superfan, Ann Coulter, called Trump “mental” in an interview. (Matt Drudge, yet another superfan, is leading as I write this with the news of Trump’s campaign manager being arrested for battery.) Are Trump’s cheerleaders heading for the lifeboats because they know something we don’t? Nah. They’re still onboard, they’re just alarmed that the captain won’t steer away from that iceberg that keeps getting closer. Trump’s fans within the commentariat have, I...
