A Russian arms dealer who the US traded in a prisoner swap for WNBA star Brittney Griner is running for office as a member of an ultra-nationalist party. Viktor Bout, dubbed the 'Merchant of Death' by Western security services, has been nominated to run for the Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) in the Russian election next March, according to state news agency Rossiya Segodnya (RIA). The 56-year-old has only been out of prison for six months, after serving 10 years of his 25-year sentence behind bars in Marion, Illinois, on arms dealing charges. Bout, who is ostensibly from Tajikistan but holds...

Jason Whitlock: “Why did you do this?” Stein: “Calling out woke athletes. This is so crazy about how insulated Brittney Griner is. She was literally the biggest political story for a year and not one journalist from any major outlet at ESPN, CNN, ABC, blah, blah, blah will ever ask her a hard-hitting question. And me, just asking that question was like considered assault, the Mercury statement even used the word ‘hate’. I don’t hate Brittney Griner, I think she’s a great college basketball player, and women’s college basketball is actually pretty interesting to me. I respect her as being...

After nearly two years, WNBA star Brittney Griner returned to the basketball court with the Phoenix Mercury Saturday and played competitively for the first time since being detained in Russia. She brought with her a newfound appreciation for the national anthem. The seven-time All-Star said hearing the national anthem before her game on Saturday felt “different” after spending 10 months in a Russian prison. Griner arrived home to the United States in December after the U.S. and Russia agreed to a prisoner swap involving Viktor Bout, a Russian arms dealer, and Griner, per Deseret News. “Hearing the national anthem, it...

Guess who stood for the national anthem? Starting in 2020, WNBA start Brittney Griner said she and her teammates would protest the national anthem. Previously, "During a game between the Phoenix Mercury and the Los Angeles Sparks, the two teams walked off the court while the National Anthem played. Interestingly enough, Griner mentioned that this will not be the last time she would walk off the court."But 10-months in a Russian prison later, and the Biden administration swapped her for a notorious international arms trafficker, the "Merchant of Death" Viktor Bout last December...Griner (red jacket) and Bout pass each other...

On episode 20 of the show we are joined by Viktor Bout, a man whose life story is quite worthy of a film adaptation. A polyglot, entrepreneur, graduate of the Soviet Military Institute of Foreign Languages. In the West Viktor is portrayed as the “lord of war” and the “merchant of death”. A Russian businessman, a case against whom was fabricated by the American intelligence services on the basis of a provocation they carried out against him in Thailand in 2008. After extradition to the United States, Bout was sentenced to 25 years in a maximum security prison. He was...

It was announced Thursday morning that Joe Biden had approved a trade with Russia where they get the vicious, evil arms dealer known as "The Merchant of Death" so we get a whiny, entitled, basketball player who brought drugs illegally into Russia. All along, the stories said that we were going to get Griner back in this trade, but we would also get Marine Paul Whelan, who has been in Russian prison since 2018. But, guess what? Yeah, Biden brought back Griner and left Whelan behind. From AP: Biden says US has 'not forgotten about Paul Whelan,' will 'never give...

Griner’s welcome home party on a military base outside San Antonio, Texas, included a barbecue and a Christmas tree. Her first move of freedom on the basketball court was a dunk. Griner has since announced her intentions to return to the Phoenix Mercury this season after the WNBA paid her entire 2022 salary while incarcerated. Griner’s welcome party in her collegiate town of Baylor, Texas, at a church minutes away from the campus on which she won a national championship, was only attended by 20 celebrators, according to an ESPN profile of the event. The church expected many more in...

Brittney Griner’s homecoming party at a church in Waco, Texas didn’t get quite the turnout many expected. According to a report from ESPN, around 20 people showed up to welcome the WNBA star home from her detainment in Russia. Per the report, the crowd was sparse at University Baptist Church, located within two miles of Baylor’s campus. The story indicated that part of the reason why the turnout wasn’t much bigger was because the school was on winter break.

Sony Hostin, a co-host of ABC’s The View, slammed former secretary of State Mike Pompeo, former President Trump and other Republicans who have critiqued President Biden’s recent prisoner swap deal with Russia. Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Alyssah Farah Griffin noted that the Trump administration negotiated the release of 5,000 Taliban members in Afghan prisoners in 2020. “I think it’s just the sheer hypocrisy of it because I have, and I’ve said it here, always felt, umm, conflicted about negotiating with terrorists because I do think it will encourage a terrorist to grab other Americans,” Hostin said on the daytime talk...

Those who opposed the release of Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout, notoriously dubbed “the Merchant of Death,” in exchange for former WNBA star Brittney Griner are largely driven by racism and homophobia, according to Democrat consultant and political commentator James Carville. Carville also claimed opposition to the swap “exposed a big big fault in American culture,” and said those opposed are likely “pro-Putin.” Speaking on CNN Newsroom with Jim Acosta on Saturday, Carville complained that racism and homophobia are significant drivers of opinion in America, suggesting that if Griner was a “blond Chi Omega from SMU” then the reaction would...

“Joe Biden’s world-class hypocrisy is on full display, and it has taken a dangerous turn, in his trade of a notorious Russian arms dealer for Brittany Griner,” the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today. Biden’s swap of Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout—known as the “Merchant of Death”—for Griner this week has brought expressions of outrage and astonishment. The jailed basketball gold medalist is one of two Americans who have been held by the Russians. The other is Paul Whelan, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who was imprisoned four years ago on espionage charges, and...

There’s an old joke among poker players: if you can’t find the sucker at the table, it’s you. While it’s wonderful to see an American civilian released from an unjustly long sentence in a foreign land, it must be said that the Biden administration just revealed who was the sucker in its negotiations to release Brittney Griner from the Russian gulag. Let me state up front: I am glad “BG,” as her wife Cherelle calls her, is coming home.

Well, “Wreck-It” Biden and his minions struck again. In a moronic move, the American hating, National Anthem kneeling, Brittney Griner was released from a Russian prison in trade for a....wait for it...a convicted arms dealer nicknamed the “merchant of death.” Britney will be back in the good old US of A just in time for Christmas to open her presents. Soon she will appear on The View and vomit hatred for all things American. Britney will probably write a book blaming TRUMP, TRUMP, and TRUMP for her incarceration, thank Mother Russia for her release and be revered as a hero...

Here’s another of the men whom Biden left behind to extract a black lesbian pothead who hates America because she embodies his rotten base. A teacher from Oakmont who’s been detained in Russia for more than a year remains in custody. This summer, Butler native Marc Fogel was sentenced to 14 years in a maximum security prison after he was caught with 17 grams of medical marijuana for a spine condition. The U.S. State Department had previously asked Russia to release American citizen Fogel on humanitarian grounds. Prior to that request, a group of nine bipartisan senators called on Secretary of State...

“Wait nah!! We left a marine?!! Hell nah,” Parsons wrote in response to a report that the swap did not include Marine Paul Whelan, who has been in Russian custody for four years. Parsons didn’t seem to be enthused by the messaging. “We still not voting for you!” Parsons wrote in a quote tweet of Biden’s message.

At yesterday’s White House press briefing, Fox News’ Peter Doocy tried to get some answers from Karine Jean-Pierre about why the Biden administration was willing to turn over Viktor Bout, a terrorist arms dealer colloquially known as “The Merchant of Death,” over to Russia in exchange for WNBA player Brittney Griner. Jean-Pierre didn’t provide any satisfactory answers (and ultimately grabbed her binder and fled from the podium). Well, on day 2 of questions about the problematic prisoner swap, Jean-Pierre’s still giving terrible answers to valid and important questions: Jean-Pierre: "We knew about a week or two ago that there was...

by Becca London | RNNIf it wasn't already clear what a weak surrender - and strategically-dangerous move - was Joe Biden's sending back a jailed Russian arms dealer to the Kremlin in exchange for pothead, America-hating WNBA player Brittney Griner, a stunning video clip from Russian TV makes it that much clearer. To recap, Biden freed the imprisoned "Merchant of Death" Viktor Bout - the most notorious arms dealer in history - to Russia for Griner, but left an American Marine hero Paul Whelan in a brutal Russian jail, where he was thrown after being railroaded on a fake "espionage"...

Huh, now why do you think NBC would pull their own bombshell? You’d THINK if they had a bombshell like this, that Biden could have choosen between Brittney Griner and Paul Whelan, this would be a big story. But then again, if their main goal is to do the bidding of the Democratic Party, and by default, the Biden White House, we suppose the bombshell isn’t worth having to them. Which should be weird but sadly … it’s not. Take a look at this: NBC had a bombshell report that Russia offered America Brittney Griner OR Paul Whelan, citing a...

WNBA star Brittney Griner, freed this week in a high-level prisoner exchange, arrived at Brooke Army Medical Center early Friday for an evaluation. How long the Houston native will remain at the San Antonio facility is unclear. “The U.S. government is focused on ensuring that Brittney Griner and her family’s well-being are prioritized and that all available assistance be offered in an appropriate manner,” a State Department spokesman said. “Due to privacy reasons, we do not have anything additional to provide at this time.” Griner will stay at a military center that helps recently released prisoners of war and hostages...

Shortly after Brittney Griner landed in Texas early Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said more prisoner exchanges are possible between the two countries. Putin said “everything is possible” when asked about future swaps, noting that “compromises have been found” to clear the exchange of the WNBA star for notorious arms dealer Viktor Bout. “We aren’t refusing to continue this work in the future,” the Russian strongman added after a summit in Kyrgyzstan. “Whether this could set stage for a dialogue with the U.S. is a separate issue,” the leader said. “We didn’t set the task to move from those talks...
