Former President Donald Trump refused in a prime time town hall to rule out abusing power to go after his critics – saying he he wouldn't do it 'except for Day One' – when given multiple opportunities to forswear plans for vengeance or a power grab. 'To be clear, do you in any way have any plans whatsoever if reelected president to abuse power, to break the law to use the government to go after people,' Hannity asked him. 'You mean like they’re using right now?' Trump responded, without answering the question directly. (other subjects) You are promising America tonight...

Former Vice President Joe Biden is most likely going to run in 2020. He’s prepping. He’s laying down the groundwork. And Democrats are either unenthused, thinking his time is done (or that he’s a relic of the past), or impatient—some viewing him as a stabilizing force in a field that’s far left, unknown, and rapidly becoming a clown car. Biden's word choice could also pose a problem with a new generation of Democrats who view the rhetoric at the time as perpetuating harmful myths about the black community. They are beyond the pale many of those people, beyond the pale,"...

Sen. Ted Cruz claims that Roger Stone, The Daily Caller Men’s Fashion editor, “decides” what Matt Drudge posts on his website Drudge Report. In an interview with Mike Slater on “The Mike Slater Show” Monday, Cruz said, “If people want to get on the “Trump train,” they can. I actually think we need real and meaningful solutions to the problems in this country, and as president my focus is going to be on three things: jobs, freedom and security.”Slater asked Cruz what he thought of the Drudge Report and the Texas senator replied, “Look, Drudge Report over the years has done a good...

In his first Sunday show interview since taking on an expanded role in Donald Trump's campaign, Paul Manafort was quick to raise questions about the tactics Sen. Ted Cruz' campaign is using to secure delegates. After being asked whether threatening delegates is fair game in the hunt for the 1237 required to secure the republican nomination, Manafort responded, "It's not my style, and it's not Donald Trump's style … But it is Ted Cruz's style." He then called the Cruz campaign's methods "Gestapo tactics, scorched-earth tactics." "We're going to be filing several protests because reality is, you know, they are...

Social media has transformed our society in immeasurable ways – both good and bad. Hardly any event goes unrecorded or unreported these days (unless it doesn’t feed a particular agenda – then it sinks like a stone). We’re able to reach the far corners of the planet with messages and information. But the bad guys can do it too, as we’ve seen with the aggressive recruiting techniques used by ISIS (even stooping so low as to use Justin Bieber for their nefarious aims). And speaking of stooping..one of our supporters forwarded us this little item yesterday via email. It’s not...

The uncomfortable effects of government actions are being felt everywhere. Obamacare concerns are, anecdotally, delaying hiring, causing firms to change benefits for the people, and increasing taxes on the great majority. On the other hand, in the context of the "sequester", which is merely a slowdown in the breakneck rate of government spending, anyone who has traveled by plane in the last month knows the full court press efforts under way to ensure the American public knows just how 'devastating' the sequester cuts are - with delays rising exponentially with every dollar removed from the FAA budget. But there...

Congressional leaders of both parties in the House and Senate are trying to exempt themselves--and their staffs--from Obamacare's health insurance exchanges they will be mandated to join under the law. This would be a devastating indictment of Obamacare and the Democrats who rammed it through. Republicans may give Democrats cover if they join them in agreeing to the exemptions. According to a (Politico) the "high-level" talks involve Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), the Obama administration and other "top lawmakers," and both sides are "acutely aware of the potential for political fallout from giving carve-outs...

If you are a mom and pop blogger, getting hit with a Federal lawsuit out of the blue has got to be terrifying. Many of those being sued by RightHaven LLC do not have deep pockets and are afraid that they will lose everything. Clayton Cramer reported that some of those being sued will probably have to declare bankruptcy. Fortunately, its seems that the victims and those opposed to RightHaven's tactics have started to organize. Realizing that information is key, a new website has been established called RightHavenLawsuits.com. They say their mission "is dedicated to gathering together and posting for...

The chief of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guard said Monday that a Sunni rebel group blamed for a deadly attack on the force was linked to U.S., British and Pakistani intelligence, an Iranian news agency reported. "Behind this scene are the American and British intelligence apparatus and there will have to be retaliatory measures to punish them," Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said. The reaction comes after a homicide bomber killed five senior commanders in the Guard and at least 37 others in an area of southeastern Iran that has been the focus of a growing Sunni insurgency. Earlier Monday, an...

HAYWARD - The fatal shootings of six white deer hunters after a trespassing dispute with a Hmong hunter have spawned some isolated cases of racial animosity against the region's growing Hmong community. But people helping to resettle thousands of Hmong immigrants from a refugee camp in Thailand say last month's shootings have not caused any backlash against those efforts, which continue on schedule. Nathan Hecker, a logger and hunter in Hayward, where Chai Soua Vang faces six counts of murder in the Nov. 21 shootings, acknowledges some people in northern Wisconsin dislike Hmong immigrants. He cites the perception that Hmong hunters...

In a case that could affect women's health clubs across California, the state filed a lawsuit accusing a Petaluma women's fitness center of sex discrimination. The lawsuit in Sonoma County Superior Court alleges Elan Fitness Center fails to provide "full and equal accommodations" for men, in violation of the state's civil rights law. The suit stems from a discrimination complaint filed last year by a Santa Rosa man who said he was discouraged from joining the fitness club. The state Department of Fair Employment and Housing said Phillip Kottle was the victim of discrimination because of his gender . The...
