A so-called ghost gun is nothing more than a gun someone built themselves. That's all a ghost gun is. They love calling it a ghost gun because homemade guns don't scare suburban housewives with helicopter mom syndrome like, "GHOST GUN." Joe Biden was having trouble getting his so-called "Ghost Guns" passed in Congress because building your own gun for personal use has always been legal. Hell, it says it right on the ATF website; "No, a license is not required to make a firearm solely for personal use. However, a license is required to manufacture firearms for sale or distribution....

In his latest effort to pretend he is doing something about skyrocketing crime rates, President Joe Biden rolled out his new rule on so-called ghost guns this week. In doing so, he peddled a number of anti-gun cliches and silly comments. For example, he stated, "You couldn't buy a cannon when the Second Amendment passed." First of all, this is not even true — as of this writing, we cannot find a law from that era banning the purchase of cannons. But more importantly, it is irrelevant to discussions about guns. There has never been a Second Amendment right to...

Illinois is poised to become the first state in the Midwest to ban “ghost guns,” as Democrats respond to election-year pressure to curb violent crime and President Joe Biden wages a national war on the “do-it-yourself” firearms. Holding up a ghost gun in the White House Rose Garden on Monday and warning that “anyone” can make a gun, Biden said “a domestic abuser can go from a gun kit to a gun in as little as 30 minutes.” Sitting in the audience was Chicago Police Supt. David Brown, whose department is fighting its own battle against the easy-to-assemble but hard-to-trace...

Read the entire transcript, but two sentences popped out at me."And, by the way — it’s going to sound bizarre — I support the Second Amendment. You have a right."Then, what is regulatory authority, is it law? A year ago this week, standing here with many of you, I instructed the Attorney General to write a regulation that would would rein in the proliferation of ghost guns because I was having trouble getting anything passed in the Congress, but I used what we call “regulatory authority.”

Speaking in the Rose Garden on Monday, an aviator-clad President Biden trotted out more of the same misleading claims Democrats have used for years in their attempts to demonize legal firearm ownership by law-abiding citizens. The speech, meant to announce new executive action to regulate so-called "ghost guns" (a conjured up term to make homemade guns sounds scarier), turned into a gaffe-filled exercise in misinformation. Repeatedly referring to the ATF as "AFT" — a gaffe that apparently confused the federal agency with the teachers union — Biden also repeated several the left's favorite anti-gun buzzwords and tropes as an excuse...

ABC 33/40 called a number of law enforcement agencies in Alabama. Each said ghost guns haven't been an issue locally. "I noticed the president made the statement that ghost guns are preferred ways for criminals to get their guns. I don't agree. I think stealing is the preferred way for criminals to get their guns," said Calera Police Chief David Hyche. "We've got bigger problems to worry about. I am not worried about the kind of guns the criminals have, I am worried about the criminals being held accountable and punished foe what they are doing with those guns."

@RepThomasMassie Joe Biden fabricates this notion that the federal government has regulated private ownership of firearms since the beginning of our country. Cite the laws Joe, or it’s a lie.

Joe Biden on Monday delivered remarks on gun violence from the Rose Garden. Biden announced a new rule to regulate ‘ghost guns’ and nominated Steve Dettelbach to be ATF director. "Today, the United States Department of Justice is making it illegal for a business to manufacture one of these kits without a serial number. Illegal. Illegal for a licensed gun dealer to sell them without a background check,” said Biden. Biden went off script to drive his point home about gun manufacturers and that’s when things went awry. “Imagine had the tobacco industry been immune to prostitute being sued! Come...

President Biden emphasized on Monday while announcing his new controls on so-called “ghost guns” that acquiring gun makers’ internal documents is crucial to scrutinizing said makers’ marketing of “deadly products.” Biden segued from so-called “ghost guns” and pushed for other gun controls, then praised the Sandy Hook Elementary School families who sued Remington over the December 14, 2012, Sandy Hook shooting. The gun used in the Sandy Hook was a stolen Bushmaster rifle, and Bushmaster was owned by Remington at the time. Biden noted, “Remington agreed to release thousands of pages of internal documents,” as part of the settlement with...

Rep. Thomas Massie: Rule treads on Constitution, congressional powersPresident Biden’s planned crackdown on “ghost guns” received vocal pushback Monday from GOP lawmakers who said it will have little impact on crime and treads on the Second Amendment. “Biden’s gun grab is coming,” the House Judiciary Committee tweeted Monday in a snapshot of GOP messaging on the effort the president will announce at the White House along with his nomination of Steve Dettelbach, a former U.S. attorney, to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The Justice Department will publish a final rule on ghost guns — untraceable weapons...

Rep. Thomas Massie and Second Amendment advocates are pushing back against the Biden administration's upcoming rule on "ghost guns," characterizing the rule to rein in privately made firearms without serial numbers as unconstitutional. "The Constitution does not authorize the federal government to prevent you from making your own firearm. This a fact that has been recognized for 200+ years. Also, Article 1, Section 1 (literally the first operative sentence in the Constitution) says Congress makes law, not POTUS!" Rep. Thomas Massie tweeted Sunday.

On April 11, 2022, the Attorney General signed ATF final rule 2021R-05F, Definition of “Frame or Receiver” and Identification of Firearms.
