What Joe Biden Is Not Telling You About Ghost Guns

A so-called ghost gun is nothing more than a gun someone built themselves. That's all a ghost gun is. They love calling it a ghost gun because homemade guns don't scare suburban housewives with helicopter mom syndrome like, "GHOST GUN."

Joe Biden was having trouble getting his so-called "Ghost Guns" passed in Congress because building your own gun for personal use has always been legal. Hell, it says it right on the ATF website;

"No, a license is not required to make a firearm solely for personal use. However, a license is required to manufacture firearms for sale or distribution. The law prohibits a person from assembling a non–sporting semiautomatic rifle or shotgun from 10 or more imported parts, as well as firearms that cannot be detected by metal detectors or x-ray machines. In addition, the making of an NFA firearm requires a tax payment and advance approval by ATF."

What Biden wants to do is make it so you can no longer build your own gun for personal use, but as I pointed out, the ability to build your own gun has always been legal, so to change that, Congress has to make it illegal, he can't just decide to do it himself.

These kits are not as plug and play as Joe is making them out to be; you actually have to engage in gun-smithing to have a functioning gun. But the law doesn't say that you can only build your own gun if it is hard to do.

Biden is not telling you that most guns used in crimes are untraceable because there's this thing called the black market where criminals get their guns.

You can have 19 serial numbers on a gun, and it still won't tell you anything other than where the gun was first sold.

Joe Biden loves misquoting stats. The actual stat is that the Justice Department statistics show that nearly 24,00 ghost guns were recovered by law enforcement at crime scenes and reported to the government from 2016 to 2020. Not 24,000 in 2020.

We don't need the government's permission to make our own guns because the Second Amendment wasn't telling us what we can and can't do; it was written to tell the government what they can't do.

This is about control, not safety.

Anytime a politician says 'common sense', RUN the other way.

'Ghost Guns', just the latest buzzword, going back to 'Saturday Night Special', 'Cop-Killer Bullets', et cetera ad infinitum...

Anyone else hear the Scooby Doo theme song in their heads when Democrats prattle on about ghost guns?

It’s already out there for the feds to declare. Saw and ad for a natgeo “to catch a smuggler’ episode and some female(how would I know) is holding a pistol they’ve found in a package and boldly declares “IT’S A GHOST GUN!” Wonder they didn’t all run for cover. Don’t forget ‘shoulder goes up thingy assault weapon’.

Quite the conundrum for those making a Lowe's or Home Depot slam-fire shotgun, since just about everything they sell is imported. Even the lumber in many cases. Is a 2x4 12 gauge considered a sporting shotgun?

It would only take a couple of real asshole prosecutor to stop this dead in it’s tracks, a simple search of the average household would yield enough miscellaneous supplies and household chemicals to Criminally Charge just about Everyone for possessing BOMB making materials and GHOST GUN Materials.

Steel Pipe
Drill
Nails
Rubber Bands
Gasoline in a Container
Old Car Batteries
Fertilizer
Bleach
Vinegar

ALL Can be assembled and used to make DEADLY WEAPONS
Start Prosecuting Public Servants for possessing these items

Can you buy one of these legally now? I might consider buying one before they get banned.

“What Joe Biden Is Not Telling You About Ghost Guns”

And what his is telling you are lies.
Like the 10-fold increase in reported “ghost guns”. As the video pointed out. the 20K+ reported “ghost guns” was over a five year period, not the one year that he implied.

They're mainly talking about AR lowers, or frames for Glock and Sig, etc, that are 80% finished, and you have to machine the rest. Then add lower parts, and upper or slide.

Good luck finding one these days.

Salt Peter, Charcoal and Sulphur makes bombs. It’s not regulated. What is regulated is fuel oil and fertilizer that McVeigh used. Ghost guns are homemade kits, purchased parts at Home Depot and Lowes, and refined using lathes, drills, sanders, grinders, etc. In Pakistan, gun smithing is an art and they make replicas easily of pistols, rifles and military arms from scratch.

What it is about is us having to go through a background check for every firearm related item we purchase.

“In Pakistan, gun smithing is an art ...”

There are some very interesting videos of guns being made in these regions. For example:

It's an old quote, but still relevant:

Gun control is not about guns, it is about control.

Its also about building an illegal registry. While “ghost guns” is waved about, and truly is a concern, the rule change regarding 4473 forms is also a big deal.

No. You don’t “buy” these...you build them yourself for personal use. That’s the definition.

To liberals, guns are scary. Ghosts are scary. Used together, these words reinforce the gun control narrative by building on fear. It’s also perfect for demagoguery, by creating the false impression that all it takes is a $200 3D printer for every Trump supporter to whip out his own arsenal.

They also know the only people who will build their own firearm are people who will never support their views anyway, so there is no downside to pissing them off even more.

Ammonia and bleach aren’t regulated as far as I know. Nor matches, lighter fluid, candles, gasoline cans(soon to be replaced with electricity cans for when your EV goes dead), kerosene lamps.....
