Rest in peace, Fred Thompson. He was a great American who lived a richer life than most of either his fellow senators or fellow actors. It was always fun when you'd stumble across him grilling someone on TV in that distinctive Tennessee drawl and it took you a moment to figure out whether it was a movie or a Congressional hearing. Not alot of people talking on this one. I think the intended news is the advice to use the internet’s video advantage to announce, but personally I think the real news is that Newt is backing Fred Thompson. In the past, and don’t qoute me on accuracy, Newt has said that he will only run if someone else up to his standards doesn’t. Well…what does this say?
