It is a CLEAR NIGHT, the lights on the plane were blazing, why didn’t the helicopter go up or down, or turn. Why didn’t the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane. This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented. A small aircraft crashed near Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Virginia, on Wednesday night. In a post on X, D.C. Fire and EMS said a small aircraft in the vicinity of the airport had crashed into the Potomac River. Fireboats are currently on the scene. It is not known at this time if anyone was injured in the crash. The airport is closed until 11 p.m. “due to an aircraft emergency,” the Federal Aviation Agency said on its website.
