On December 9, 1965, A Charlie Brown Christmas aired on TV screens across America and instantly captured the hearts and ears of a generation. Bolstering the animated special, based on Charles M. Schulz's immensely popular PEANUTS comic strip, was an engaging score from Bay Area jazz artist Vince Guaraldi, who brought characters like Charlie Brown, Lucy, and Snoopy to life through his evocative cues... Guaraldi's soundtrack, meanwhile, has since become one of the best-selling jazz albums in history, second only to Miles Davis' Kind of Blue, and regularly ranks among America's top-selling holiday albums every December.Vince Guaraldi Trio - Christmas...

Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks claims her band would have ended in the 1970s if she hadn’t ended the life of her unborn child. Nicks told CBS News Sunday Morning that she had an abortion in 1979, conveying that she believed she wouldn’t have been able to handle both being a mother and singing in Fleetwood Mac — so she chose the band. The Fleetwood Mac singer also suggested that she thought it would be better for the unborn child to die rather than to have him or her “have their feelings hurt” over her music endeavors.

This is a classic song done by Count Vlad in his ubiquitous way. Check out how Vlad sings the second verse. The guitar solos have a variety of styles, but the riotous line is in the second verse on the word "BABY." I laugh every time I hear it. If you like the music please subscribe.

Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham penned an emotional tribute to “sister” Christine McVie following her “sudden” death on Wednesday. “Christine McVie’s sudden passing is profoundly heartbreaking. Not only were she and I part of the magical family of Fleetwood Mac, to me Christine was a musical comrade, a friend, a soul mate, a sister,” the 73-year-old wrote on Instagram Thursday. “For over four decades, we helped each other create a beautiful body of work and a lasting legacy that continues to resonate today,” he continued, adding that he feels “very lucky to have known her.”

Christine McVie was a member of Fleetwood Mac long before Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined and transformed them from a lumbering '60s British blues band into one of the '70s' biggest acts. She joined the group in 1970 and slowly evolved into one of its strongest songwriters. Once Buckingham and Nicks got on board in 1975, McVie stepped up, even more, writing and singing some of Fleetwood Mac's biggest hits. Even if she occasionally got lost outside of the spotlight that was increasingly aimed at the California couple, McVie often contributed standout cuts on milestone records like Rumours and...

Researchers with Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) found and extracted a mammoth tusk deep under the ocean. According to MBARI, their team spotted the tusk 185 miles offshore and 10,000 feet deep on top of a seamount in 2019. They returned on July 2021 to bring the tusk to the surface. "The researchers have confirmed that the tusk—about one meter (just over three feet) in length—is from a Columbian mammoth (Mammuthus columbi)," reported the institute. They believe it could be the oldest well-preserved mammoth tusk recovered from this area of North America. The Columbian mammoth went extinct around 11,500...

...“I think others in the band just felt that they were not empowered enough, individually, for whatever their own reasons, to stand up for what was right,” says Buckingham. He pauses for just a second and then plows on. “And so, it became a little bit like Trump and the Republicans.” Fleetwood has hinted that Buckingham could be welcomed back if Nicks comes around. It’s unlikely that comparing Nicks to Trump will help those chances. ...

The Fleetwood Mac star said: “While I’m vaccinated, at my age I am still being extremely cautious and for that reason have decided to skip the five performances I had planned for 2021.” She added: “These are challenging times with challenging decisions that have to be made.
