Before the COVID pandemic, Dr. Paul Marik became well-known for his development of a highly effective sepsis protocol using intravenous vitamin C, which resulted in a dramatic reduction in mortality rates. Then, in 2020, he cofounded the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) and subsequently published one of the most comprehensive and effective protocols for treating COVID-19. Despite a stellar career up to that point, the sin of insisting on early treatment for COVID-19, and sharing that information with the public, resulted in him being vilified, discredited and ultimately forced to resign. I’m a veteran of this too, so...

The two Doctor Who adaptations, featuring the Daleks, will also return to British cinemas for a double bill of TARDIS action. Peter Cushing's Dr. Who, as well as his companions Susan and Ian, are menaced by the Daleks. Screenshot: StudioCanal While attempts have been made to try and bring Doctor Who to the big screen, the TV franchise hasn’t had the luck since the height of 1960s “Dalekmania” saw Peter Cushing thrust into the role of Dr. Who for two adaptations of iconic Dalek stories. Now, those movies are back for a snazzy new re-release—and a chance at the box...

As a pulmonologist and director of the palliative care unit at a Beaumont Health hospital in southeastern Michigan, Trunsky sees some of the facility's sickest patients and is often the bearer of bad news. He gets it. No one is prepared to hear their loved one is dying. But when a well-regarded intensive care unit nurse told him during a recent shift that the wife of an unvaccinated covid patient had berated her when she informed the woman of her husband's deteriorating condition, Trunsky, who has lost more than 100 patients to the coronavirus, reached his breaking point. Still sporting...

Christopher Eccleston transformed Doctor Who forever. Sixteen years ago, the actor—headlining a bold reboot of the beloved British sci-fi classic that had been off screens for nearly a decade—presented a tortured, compassionate take on a Time Traveler without a home. Then, as quickly as we met him, he vanished, transformed into a new person.

Those Knightscope security robots may not be so great at their jobs. When a woman in a park near Los Angeles saw people fighting and tried to summon help via a police robot patrolling nearby, the robot merely told her to "step out of the way" and continued along its pre-determined route, according to NBC News. No help came until the spectators called 911 directly, raising the question of what, if any, function these robots are actually supposed to serve. It turns out that the robot, a K5 model named "HP RoboCop", patrols the park on behalf of the police...

"Carol of the Birds" by Chip Davis, from the David Tennant Dr Who episode, "The Shakespeare Code." The time travel, costume episodes are among my favorites. And another of my favorite historical episodes, "Vincent" by Don McLean for Vincent Van Gogh.
-
Probably my favorite Dr Who music video. Enya's "White is in the Winter's Night." And, even though not a Christmas carol, in a still Dr Who mood, "Crossroads" by Don McLean, for the doctor and his companions.
-
Another doctor I enjoy, and two of my favorite companions. "Song for a Winter's Night" by Sarah McLachlan for Rory and Amy. And because it's hard to leave the doctor out of all the romance, "Anticipation" by Carly Simon for Riversong and the doctor, even if it's not Christmasy.

I really think David Tennant is my favorite Doctor. Annie Lennox's "Angels in the Snow." Henry Livingston's stories were in Clement Moore's library while he was growing up, as his father was a subscriber to the magazine in which Henry published. Audio of “Memoirs of a Pine Tree” by Henry Livingston, published in the New-York Magazine of March, 1792. A pine tree describes the world he knew as a young sapling, when only native Americans roamed the woods. Henry's comparison of their culture with that of his current day is absolutely fascinating.

Average Face of Every Doctor Who Star Is a Reminder We're Very Glad Regeneration is a Complete Renewal On Doctor Who, the process of regeneration for a Time Lord is a profound, excruciating transformation. Every cell of their being explodes with celestial energy, transforming their entire being. It’s probably for the best though, considering that if every Time Lord kept a bit of their past self, they’d look like the nightmare above.
-
The more recent resurrection of Dr. Who includes the doctor going back to find an alien painted into a Vincent Van Gogh canvas and, incidentally, trying to save Vincent. Done to Don McLean's "Vincent."

Predictable as ever, Doctor’, says the Master in the Doctor Who episode ‘The Deadly Assassin’. In a similar vein, the Guardian has followed the announcement that Peter Capaldi is leaving the series with not one but two articles about how the new Doctor must be a woman, black or preferably both. Because white males are boring! After all, it’s 2017. As the Hitler Youth said to the 19th-century humanists: ‘We don’t think like that anymore.’ Of course, there is nothing wrong with having more women and black people cast in mainstream roles. The more the merrier. But when cultural representation...

Since the 1980s there’s been a call for a female Doctor whenever the part is recast. I would have no problem with that, but woe betide the showrunner who makes that decision. By way of compensation, Steven Moffat delivers the next best thing. He’s had the balls to reassign the gender of the Master. Surely, this puts paid to any whingers who, for reasons that escape me, have labelled Moffat a misogynistic writer. He’s been creating strong women characters ever since Nancy, the 1940s single mum in The Empty Child (2005). Now, surely, he’s outed himself as a feminist and...

Nine long-lost episodes of Doctor Who which have not been seen since the 1960s have been recovered after they were tracked down to a store room in Nigeria, gathering dust. The discovery will cause much excitement for devotees of the long-running series, for which there are dozens of missing episodes dating back to its early years The previously lost nine shows were among 11 traced to a television relay station and the find brings back to life an entire six-episode story, while another is almost complete. The newly found programs—which introduce the character of Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart, better known to audiences...

After little sleep and a heavy patient load, LeRoy Carhart sent another abortion patient to the hospital yesterday (March 4, 2014) for treatment of apparently life-threatening complications. An ambulance arrived at about 4:00 p.m. in response for a call for emergency assistance. It transported a female patient to a local hospital. Carhart was not seen with his patient during the incident. carhart14Due to a snowstorm, Carhart was unable to see women scheduled for multi-day late-term abortions as usual on Sunday.
