Dr Who (David Tennant) - Carol of the Birds - Chip Davis

"Carol of the Birds" by Chip Davis, from the David Tennant Dr Who episode, "The Shakespeare Code." The time travel, costume episodes are among my favorites.

And another of my favorite historical episodes, "Vincent" by Don McLean for Vincent Van Gogh.

I often wonder about the very young who may well learn their history only from TV and movies.

Love that music behind the clips, mairdie! The clips fit it so very well.
I worry for the kids not being taught real history as well.

Warmest hugs, Tex. That was a fun video to make. Wish we lived closer and I could teach you how to do it. I think you’d be a natural at this.

I’m in college and the history course I took at another institution was taught by a lady who insisted on her own Islamic centric view of things. I don’t know any history majors and the current history department is in the clutches of a poorly rated professor who was the architect of well-intentioned attempts to make us all well-rounded but which actually just prevents cross-disciplinary double-majors from being able to exist. I go to a good school. There is a fairly high applicant rejection rate. History as a discipline is definitely in trouble.

My biggest disappointment for Dr Who... He didn’t get any when he had that chance...

For you to resist group think and maintain your mental freedom to make decisions for yourself is incredibly impressive, and speaks well for your future career. As for academic disciplines, it’s a fundamental problem whose solution lies so far in the future that I fear for it.

Infinite thanks. I’m so very pleased you liked it.
And I’ve always wanted to do a Black Adder video.

Oh, Aqua, thank you! And thank you again! It was a wonderful episode and so much fun to summarize. Hugs, many. I’m currently looking at one of the two new Blanchard songs for Trump and Melania. What think you? The one with the good ending.
