I often wonder about the very young who may well learn their history only from TV and movies.

I worry for the kids not being taught real history as well.

I’m in college and the history course I took at another institution was taught by a lady who insisted on her own Islamic centric view of things. I don’t know any history majors and the current history department is in the clutches of a poorly rated professor who was the architect of well-intentioned attempts to make us all well-rounded but which actually just prevents cross-disciplinary double-majors from being able to exist. I go to a good school. There is a fairly high applicant rejection rate. History as a discipline is definitely in trouble.
