Kristinn, the co-leader of the DC Chapter, suggested on this thread that the best way to handle to Hillary's book tour was to "freep her like a rented mule." For the third time in eight days Mrs. Clinton held a book signing in the DC area. For the third time in eight days, she was FReeped by the DC Chapter. Eight days ago, when Hillary got FReeped at a book signing at the Wal-Mart book signing in Fairfax, VA, one Clinton Kool-Aid drinker told a local radio station that FReepers' presence in Fairfax destroyed their celebratory mood. At long last, and following network, software, and camcorder problems, here are video and audio files from the FReep of Mrs. Clinton at Wal-Mart in Fairfax on June 11, 2003. Both videos made by me and news videos from local stations (Washington, D.C.) are included. My videos have little or no editing. The detailed after action report is on this thread (click here). If you haven't already read that, you may want to at least review the initial post and some of the replies for more details about the nature of the FReep.I'm starting a new thread for this due...

Hillary Goes to Wal-Mart From the June 23, 2003 issue: The latest skirmish in the Clinton wars. by Matt Labash 06/23/2003, Volume 008, Issue 40 Fairfax, Virginia IT'S HARD TO DESCRIBE the electricity one feels when crossing this Northern Virginia strip-mall parking lot to attend Hillary Clinton's "Living History" book-signing. But I haven't been this excited about Wal-Mart since my one-hour photos came back in 25 minutes. It makes me feel all sprightly and young again--as if it were 1998. Hillary has yet to arrive, but already, her fans and detractors are sparring. On one side of the street, snaking...

Free Republic Protests at Hillary Booksigning By Jeff Gannon Talon News June 13, 2003 WASHINGTON (Talon News) -- Members of the Washington, DC chapter of Free Republic protested outside a Pennsylvania Avenue bookstore on Thursday as Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) signed copies of her book. Kristinn Taylor, co-chairman of the group indicated that their purpose was not to prevent anyone from buying the book, but to remind people of the legacy of the Clintons. The "Freepers" as they are known, were stationed across the street from the hundreds who sweltered in the summer humidity of the nation's capital to...

<p>The guy wearing the devil costume out on Pennsylvania Avenue yesterday was adamant.</p>
<p>"Enter the bookstore and take two steps down — morally and socially," he hollered into a bullhorn.</p>
<p>The mannerly crowd outside Trover Shop Books on Capitol Hill gazed back at him, clutching precious orange vouchers that proved they had already paid for "Living History," Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's new memoir.</p>

Fresh from their victory over the liberals at Hillary's Wal-Mart book signing in Fairfax, VA last night (one Clinton Kool-Aid drinker said that our presence in Fairfax destroyed their celebratory mood), the DC Chapter of Free Republic assembled troops at the Hillary Clinton book signing at Capitol Hill today. The daring raid into liberal-occupied Capitol Hill had strategic surprise. As liberals were caught flat-footed again and they were able to mount only feeble resistance, the FReep was yet another triumph. Details will follow, but this is posted now to get the thread started. Your humble correspondent also has video and...

FAIRFAX, Va. -- The record-setting book tour of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) lost no steam Wednesday night even in this Republican enclave in northern Virginia. More than 1,000 people lined up at the local Wal-Mart to get the former first lady's signature on a copy of her best-selling memoir, "Living History." It was her second major promotional appearance since the book went on sale this week.A dozen protesters with anti-Clinton signs showed up, but Clinton entered the store from the rear and did not see the demonstrators in the parking lot.At one point, hundreds of book purchasers who spilled...

Hillary Clinton enemy of the State arrived at the Fairfax County Fairlakes Wal-Mart store. She rode in her big black smoked glass limo hoping to sell her lies one more time. The line was out the garden department and into the side parking lot. I arrive at the shopping center to see a long line of about 50 people standing in line to drink the Kool-Aid and get the book of lies signed by the Witch. Two Freepers were waiting at Bagel Buddies and we set off to the front of the Wal-Mart where local Channel 9 and local Fox...

The conspiracy theorist, who likely fed Mrs. Clinton the line about the “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy” (VRWC), was signing his book at a book store in North West D.C. on Friday, June 6, 2003. Naturally, your DC Chapter viewed this as a great opportunity to confirm Sid Blumenthal’s worst fears about the vastness of the VRWC. Even in the liberal enclave that is North West Washington, D.C., he cannot escape FReeper protests of his lies. We had a great time FReeping him as he promoted his book The Clinton Wars. For those who came late to FR, Blumenthal was a...

The Muslim American Society and International A.N.S.W.E.R. organized a rally in Washington, D.C. today “to protest (the) Bush attack on Muslims, immigrants, civil rights and civil liberties.” The event, called Muslim Solidarity Day, was held at Freedom Plaza on Pennsylvania Avenue between the White House and the Justice Department--the main targets of the protesters wrath. Though thousands were expected to turn out, barely two hundred and fifty Muslims and Godless commies came out to hear speaker after speaker denounce President Bush, Attorney General John Ashcroft, America and Israel. The Memorial Day weekend weather was cool and overcast, but dry. The...

I was just speaking with Kristinn. He and tgsltakoma went to Freedom Plaza to observe the left wing anti-war rally, especially to see if Al Sharpon and some other invited Democrats would speak. Well first thing that happened was a not so veiled threat from Brian Becker of the Workers World Party against tgsltakoma. From the stage he pointed her out, called her a government agent and a "cock roach". Then he said, You know what you can do about a coack roach, you can ignore it or do something else." Even the National Lawyer's Guild volunteers in the green...

In their second lunch time DC mission of the week, FReepers of the DC Chapter gathered in front of the New York Times (NYT) office in Washington, DC. The NYT Washington bureau occupies a portion of an office building that includes various other offices. The FReep today follows yesterday’s spectacular FReep of the NYT quagmire meeting in NY by the doctor of FReeping, Doctor Raoul. (Click here and read about that. You’ll be glad you did.) The honor roll of attendance at today’s gathering of eagles: Kristinn, Angelwood, TBP, Xthe17th, WAlford, and BillF. This was a joint operation of the...

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic invites all FReepers and lurkers in good standing to join us tomorrow at the Washington, D.C. bureau of The New York Times as we stand with Accuracy in Media to call for accountability at journalism's 'paper of record'--starting with the firing of Executive Editor Howell Raines. For better or worse, The Times has a longstanding place as the agenda-setter for the rest of the media. Under the management of Mr. Raines, the credibility of the paper has been all but destroyed. Reporters, editors and columnists have been allowed to ride roughshod over the truth and...

(CNSNews.com) - The drafters of the U.S. Constitution would be "nauseated" by the "shock and awe" strategy used by the American military in the opening stages of Operation Iraqi Freedom, according to former U.S. Attorney General and current anti-war activist Ramsey Clark. Clark, who directs International A.N.S.W.E.R. (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism), spoke to journalists and others at the National Press Club in Washington Monday. "Do we really believe a phrase like that?" Clark asked the press club audience. "Do we really want people to submit to shock and awe?" International A.N.S.W.E.R. has been criticized by some...

Today at noon, FReepers of the DC Chapter converged to the front of the National Press Club in Washington, DC. Traitor, friend of anti-American dictators everywhere, founder of Communist-front International Action Center (IAC), former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark spewed his usual slanders against our great and good country and its great and good military and President. Clark had previously spoken these lies at numerous of the antiwar protests organized by IAC-offshoot Communist-front International Action Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER). Free Republic’s DC Chapter has repeatedly opposed ANSWER beginning shortly after September 11, 2001 when they opposed...
