With us losing the elections in November, the left wing of the Dimorat party thinks it can cut and run, and this protest will only reinforce those views. You can also count on the MSM to slant the coverage, hiding the more extreme signs that the lefties are sure to be carrying. We freepers must get out there and show the American people that there is another side. From the UFPJ website: "Join United for Peace and Justice in a massive march on Washington, D.C., on Sat., January 27, to call on Congress to take immediate action to end the...

Photos by Plea Deal and [Mrs] Trooprally Washington, November 17, 2006-- There is a faraway, yet penetrating look in the eyes of parents who have buried a child, no matter how well they have gotten on with their lives, no matter how much they are doing to honor their hero. It is a look that says, "Nothing is worth getting worked up about. Can you not see that small matters are insignificant? I am here, but part of me is here no longer; I live to honor that part." This 83rd week of the DC Chapter's Friday night troop-support rally...

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic is holding our annual Christmas party next month. We've had to schedule it earlier than usual due to the holiday schedule. Like last year, the party will be held at a private home in Olney, Maryland, but we would like to open it up to Freepers in good standing who don't usually come out and freep with us (for whatever reason) and out-of-town Freepers who'll be in the D.C. area that weekend. Our hosts will buy the food, do the cooking and provide sodas and mixers. Each attendee will have the option of ponying up...

With temperatures in the low 60s and little wind, we had a great turnout of dedicated FReepers from the DC Chapter and beyond as we FReeped on all four corners of the main gate at Walter Reed (WR) for the 10th month in a row, the 230th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps and the day before Veteran's Day. Our control of the four corners followed the Pinkos' (i.e., Code Pink anti-troop hate group) retreat as explained in the thread relative to January 20: Code Pink Retreats from Walter Reed-Freepers Win! (Week 40 Report at #1352). Before that, the Pinkos...

#81 at Walter Reed - November 3, 2006 Dang, it was cold! Lovely skyline pic by Trooprally [Mrs]Yes, it was a dry, very cold night on Georgia Ave. Unbeknownst to us, our fearless (literally!) D.C. Chapter leader Kristinn was winging his way to Iraq! No foolin', Iraq! Read his reports #1 and #2. This was a trip sponsored by our good friend Melanie Morgan of Move America Forward and included Gold Star parents who wanted to meet with the brothers and sisters with whom their own children fought and died. The parents wanted to see for themselves what it was...

by Albion Wilde and [Mr] Trooprally, with photos by [Mrs] Trooprally and Plea Deal. WASHINGTON, DC, October 13, 2006-- The DC Chapter has FReeped at Walter Reed Army Medical Center for 78 weeks. We've FReeped in the frigid cold. We've FReeped in the snow. We've braved nor'easter winds and sticky, buggy heat waves. This week, we FReeped on Friday the 13th. And the scariest thing in sight was the familiar line-up of hippie die-hards down the street: Panorama of pugnacious, pusillanimous, puerile Pinkos. Ptooey! Take notice, readers, that these hard-core anti-war protestors from Code Pink, Veterans for Peace and socialist/communist...

with photos by [Mrs]Trooprally, Upchuck, and GW student Luke Washington, DC, September 22, 2006-- It's a balmy Indian summer evening, and all four corners of the entrance to Walter Reed Army Medical Center are swarming with nearly 70 FReepers and a Freeping dog. A man in a red "Free Republic 10 Year Anniversary" ball cap takes in the scene from his vantage point near the Mother of All Banners on the northeast corner. It is Jim Robinson, Free Republic's founder, who flew in from California for this special Free Republic weekend in the nation's capital for honoring the troops. Photo...

Backers of the war on terrorism rallied on the Mall yesterday for the second annual Support the Troops and Their Mission Weekend in Washington. A crowd estimated at between 70 and 100 people waved U.S. and military flags as they listened to speeches by family members of soldiers and representatives of groups such as FreeRepublic.com, the sponsor of the rally; Project 21; and Military Families Voice of Victory. Kristinn Taylor, co-founder and spokesman for the D.C. chapter of Free Republic, moderated the event, which honored Gold Star and Blue Star families. "The myth is that we've all come together after...

Photos by Plea Deal and [Mrs] Trooprally WASHINGTON, DC, 9/08/06-- Two officers in full camo uniforms waved enthusiastically as their vehicle exited Walter Reed Army Medical Center to be greeted by our troop-support rally spread over the four corners of the gates. We had arrived and had set up our displays while they were inside the hospital visiting wounded members of their unit. Seeing the DC Chapter's huge banners and dozens of U.S. flags, they wheeled their vehicle back around and stopped at the northwest corner to talk with the young people who were gathered there to hold signs, wave...

This week is the second week we have occupied the moonbats corner while they try to elude us by changing their protest times. This particular thread is also the SECOND FReep that a dedicated group of FReepers had this Saturday in Olney. Add that to being out at Walter Reed the night before, and that's three FReeps in 24 hours. That puts BMWcyle and Apple Blossom in a group known as "The 3Fers". 3Fers are those FReepers who have attended a three FReeps in 3 days, with no full days between the FReeps. We don't want the FReepers to rest...

The libs have changed their plans on standing on the Olney corner. They come at different times on Saturday. Their "Cut and Run' strategy of not showing up at their usual time has failed. They ran like the cowards but today we have overcome and adapted. The new DC Chapter Rapid Transformation Force (DCRTF) has been deployed from their bunkers around the MD and VA. We won't mention the behind the lines forces in the bunkers in DC. We have mobilized four and two wheeled transport armed with latest in military cellular equipment to patrol the area for Terrorist Loving...

Tonight we crushed the Pinkos in numbers: 38 to 7 1/2!Other than that, nothing really happened. (Somebody please step in and refute that statement!)The weather was phenomenal for D.C. in August (low 80's with low humidity!) which probably helped to bring out extra FReepers. We couldn't quite understand what kept the commie Pinkos away...Attendance was extremely high this week, but it can always be better! The following FReepers and FRiends came out to celebrate tonight:Just A Nobody, 2ndClassCitizen, 3D-Joy, Just A Nobody, Albion Wilde, Bill * from MD, BillF, Blueblade (also a member of Protest Warriors), BufordP, Just A Nobody,...
