VideoInterviewVideo Here: Danica Patrick reveals she’s voting for the first time, and it’s not for Kamala Harris
-
She’s speeding to the voting booth. Former IndyCar and NASCAR queen Danica Patrick divulged Thursday that she will cast a ballot for the first time in her life this year when she pulls the lever for former President Donald Trump. Patrick made the revelation while hosting a town hall in Greensboro, NC, with Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio). “I just want to say I’ve never voted before, but this time around, I have to vote,” Patrick, 42, said on stage with Vance. “It’s that important.” Vance then interjected to make sure Patrick intended to support “the good guys.”

She is not afraid of left-wing scolds.

It’s not hard to understand why Caitlin Clark, the record-setting white ex-NCAA women’s basketball standout, is enjoying attention and endorsements like no WNBA player before her. And, no, it’s not because of (mythical) “white privilege.” It’s just as how Tiger Woods — who brought legions of new fans to golf the way Clark is doing for women’s hoops — was treated like royalty in the late ’90s for being the first dominant “black” (he calls himself “Cablinansian”) golfer.

Patrick’s final NASCAR race at the Daytona 500 captured her career to perfection. She had photojournalists embedded with her, a hunky celebrity NFL QB boyfriend by her side, social media buzzing — and a crumpled Chevy towed to the garage that put a premature end to her race. Patrick smooched her boyfriend and then kissed her NASCAR career goodbye when she was caught up in a wreck in Sunday’s race. Her final win-loss record was a dud: 0 for 191 in the Cup series.

What now? That’s the question Danica Patrick faces now that she knows for certain she will not return to Stewart-Haas Racing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series next season. And considering that she barely scrapped enough funding together to keep the No. 10 afloat this season, it means her options are limited if she wants to remain in a competitive seat. So what are her options? From the outside looking in, it’s hard to see how Patrick remains in the Cup Series with a competitive ride, and she has continually discounted options in other divisions. But for the sake...

Danica Patrick has revved up some controversy, questioning whether NASCAR needs its Drive for Diversity program, which aims to increase female and minority participation in the racing car series. “I have never benefited from the Diversity program,” Patrick said on Friday after a reporter from the Danville (Va.) Register and Bee asked her about diversity in stock car racing. NASCAR honored Wendell Scott, the only African-American to win in its top-level series, at its event in Martinsville, Va., this past weekend. Scott, who was born in Danville, won a Grand National (predecessor to Sprint Cup) race in Jacksonville, Fla., in...

He hasn't been behind the wheel since 1992, but there still is only one King of NASCAR, and when Richard Petty speaks, the words carry some weight. On the subject of Danica Patrick's chances of winning in her second full season behind the wheel of a Sprint Cup car, Petty is quite clear.

Danica Patrick signed with JR Motorsports on Tuesday to give NASCAR a try, but her schedule in the second-tier Nationwide Series has yet to be determined. Patrick will make her stock car racing debut in the Feb. 6 ARCA race at Daytona International Speedway, a day before she’ll be featured in a pair of Super Bowl ads for sponsor GoDaddy.com. The IndyCar sensation unveiled her green and orange No. 7 Chevrolet in a news conference at Chase Field with GoDaddy.com, which is sponsoring her in both series. “We’ve all been working very hard for some time now to bring this...

Reporting from Indianapolis -- Danica Patrick's ability to market herself is without question. But can she win another race? Patrick will make her fifth attempt Sunday to win her sport's biggest prize, the Indianapolis 500, the race that rocketed her to stardom when she led and nearly won it in 2005, her rookie year. Getting to the front won't be easy. The 1-2 starters, pole-sitter Helio Castroneves and Ryan Briscoe, drive for powerhouse Team Penske And the IndyCar Series' other leading team, Target Chip Ganassi Racing, has 2007 Indy 500 winner Dario Franchitti starting third and defending Indy 500 winner...

The Indianapolis 500 is Sunday and we know this because we’ve been treated to a month of questions to Danica Patrick about when she’s going to give NASCAR a try. It’s a sign of how far general interest in open-wheel racing, not to mention its signature event, has fallen. The hard-core fans will still turn out and tune in this weekend, but it’s saying something when the most asked question is about the future of a driver who isn’t even a favorite to win the race. Jimmie Johnson has heard the questions and Patrick’s open-ended answers about the possibility of...

Is it me or is the line between professional race car driver and bikini model getting extremely blurred for one, Danica Patrick. This time, she's showing off her stuff for a Shape Magazine bikini photoshoot. I'm thinkin that Danica should just drop the whole car racer charade anyways. For one, she's not even that good and on top of that, she is wearing far too much clothing. She should pick up a sport like beach volleyball or naked curling... Ok fine, I'm not even sure if that second one's a sport but hey, its a good suggestion.

[photos] For god’s sake, man, is there no morality left in the world? Now Sports Illustrated has admitted that its swimsuit issue actually included models who had been (gasp) enhanced with PhotoShop. This is such shocking news, such a remarkable revelation, that we must pause to gather our senses about us. OK, we’re back. This is truly....

Eight years after Hoop Magazine controversially airbrushed one of Iverson's tattoos for its cover shot, Sports Illustrated has airbrushed Indy Racing's biggest star. The victim? Patrick's American Flag tattoo on the small of her back.
