Emmy-winning actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus said that political correctness can be “fantastic,” brushing off concerns on the controversial topic raised by former co-star Jerry Seinfeld. During her interview with The New York Times, Louis-Dreyfus said having an “antenna” about sensitivities is not a “bad” thing, and that while she gets those who grumble about political correctness, she sees those complaints as a “red flag.” “If you look back on comedy and drama both, let’s say 30 years ago, through the lens of today, you might find bits and pieces that don’t age well,” she told The Times during an interview published...

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Same hornet, new name. The Entomological Society of America announced Monday that it has adopted a new name for the Asian giant hornet, also known as the murder hornet. The insect, species Vespa mandarinia, will now be known as the northern giant hornet. “Amid a rise in hate crimes and discrimination against people of Asian descent, usage of ‘Asian’ in the name of a pest insect can unintentionally bolster anti-Asian sentiment,” the ESA wrote in a news release. (Snip) “It avoids evoking fear or discrimination,” ESA president Dr. Jessica Ware said.

This scene from the movie Valkyrie captures where I think we're headed in this country. People are being asked, or will be asked, are you a good party member or Trump hater or whatever.

As part of its efforts to create what it is calling a more inclusive environment within the workplace, the Royal Canadian Navy announced Thursday changes to English rank designations. So she sits me down. We have a nice conversation. She tells me, “Oh, the sketches are great.” I go, “Oh, fantastic. Well, then… well, then, why am I here?” She said, “Because, David, there’s no way… that you can ever say the word… “f*ggot” on our network. I didn’t know I did anything wrong. I didn’t try to defend myself. I said, “All right. F*** it, I’ll take it out. Have a good afternoon.” And as I was leaving, it occurred to me. “Hey. Hey, Renée, quick question. It’s just a question. Seriously, I wanna know. Like, wh-why is...

English is the common tongue in polyglot India, which means that Indian newspaper and TV reports are often accessible to the rest of the Anglosphere. That’s particularly useful during a major news event in the region, such as yesterday’s terrorist bombings in Sri Lanka. In this case it’s even more useful, since unlike major media outlets in Europe and North America, this Indian TV station is not at all politically correct. The clip below was part of the early live coverage of the bombings, before the full scope of the attacks was known, and the reported number of casualties was...

Two Utah high school seniors lost a round in a debate when they argued against racism and classism by citing the works of two “racist” pundits, psychologist Jordan Peterson and conservative writer Ben Shapiro. A debate judge deemed the writings of “white supremacists” Peterson and Shapiro as inadmissible in the Jan. 5 verbal contest held at Arizona State University in Tempe.

It wouldn't be Christmas without some local-government official banning the display of a Nativity scene on public property. In this latest case, the church displaying the crèche had already received permission and had a 1984 Supreme Court ruling that such displays are legal as long as other non-religious or non-sectarian symbols are allowed. But what if no one else cares to put up an alternate display of competing symbols? According to these bureaucrats, the burden falls on the church ...

Buzz Aldrin appeared to criticize Neil Armstrong biopic First Man for leaving out the planting of the American flag on the Moon. The 88-year-old, who was the second man to set foot on the Moon, on Sunday tweeted a picture of the flag planted after their landing in 1969. He captioned the photo: 'Proud to be an American.' Aldrin also re-tweeted a photo of him saluting next to the same picture. It is an apparent dig at Oscar-winning director Damian Chazelle's decision not to include the planting of the flag on the Moon at the end of his critically acclaimed...

Angry parents stampeded a California charter school board meeting Monday after a teacher read her kindergarten class picture books about transgenderism to affirm a gender dysphoric classmate. During the class, parents say, the gender dysphoric boy also switched clothes to look more like a girl in a “gender reveal.” Parents were not notified beforehand of the discussion or the classmate’s psychological condition, and learned about it when their confused kindergarteners arrived home from school that day. “The kindergartners came home very confused, about whether or not you can pick your gender, whether or not they really were a boy or...

The "ladies and gentlemen" greeting on Tube announcements is to be scrapped, Transport for London (TfL) has announced. London Underground staff have been told to say "hello everyone" in an effort to become more gender-neutral. TfL said the move was to ensure all passengers felt "welcome". LGBT campaign group Stonewall welcomed the decision, which was supported by London mayor Sadiq Khan at a session of Mayor's Question Time last month. The revised phrasing will be applied to all new pre-recorded announcements made across the capital's transport network. Mark Evers, director of customer strategy at TfL, said: "We want everyone to...

The curious silences after London’s terror attack. 2006, Melanie Phillips wrote a book called Londonistan: How Britain Is Creating a Terror State Within. She argued that Britain was a sitting duck for Islamic terrorists, owing to its idiotic embrace of political correctness, multiculturalism, and religious relativism. She wrote: Britain is in denial. Having allowed the country to turn into a global hub of the Islamic jihad without apparently giving it a second thought, the British establishment is still failing even now — despite the wake-up calls of both 9/11 and the London bomb attacks of 2005 — to acknowledge what...

Under Obama, Americans were denied protection from terrorism, because Obama denied terrorism existed. Obama made the statement there had been ” no “large scale” terrorist attacks on the United States since he became president. Do you know when he said this? The statement came less than six weeks after the terrorist attack on the Boston Marathon, which killed 5 people, injured 280 people (including 16 police officers), and forced the city to shut down while police conducted a door-to-door search for the terrorists. Let me ask you, America, was that a terrorist attack? Obama’s refusal to call attacks like the...

Western society and the values embodied in it, no matter how controversial today, are an emanation of centuries of development of the European peoples. In the cultural and economic Western civilization, in its role as the metropole, was the “locomotive” that pulled the less developed countries of the world, like the conquest of the New World centuries ago. We are witnessing the same today in the neocolonial era in which transnational corporations seize sovereignty and enslave economically weaker countries in Africa and Latin America. Let’s say that there is a compromise between corporations and local residents, a “Washington” version of...

Few terms are as divisive in today's United States as "political correctness." A concept that was intended to create greater freedom in the country may instead have resulted in the opposite. It also helped strengthen the right wing. It's a Friday afternoon in Oberlin, Ohio, around one month before the country heads to the polls to elect Donald Trump as its next president. The final classes and lectures of the week have just ended, and a young woman comes walking by in bare feet with a hula hoop gyrating around her waist while others are performing what seems to be a...

No shit there I was......I'm an Army contractor on Ft. Huachuca. Today I had to attend annual Anti Terrorism Training, woohoo. I reported to Greely Hall auditorium for the briefing and was informed that it was moved to another location. As I'm leaving the auditorium for the new briefing location I see the topic of the briefing that is being held in that auditorium, "Army Policy on Transgender Soldiers". WTF, omg. I roll my eyes and move out. I arrive at the briefing and there are about 40 people in the large conference room and the briefer begins. After a...

If the PC police killed Halloween on campus, conservative students are determined to ensure the holiday at least has a proper burial. On Friday, Young America’s Foundation announced a Funeral for Halloween campaign, meant to push back against “warnings of ‘cultural appropriation,’ political correctness, and [others] telling you what you can and can’t wear on Halloween.”The initiative comes after Halloween sparked widespread controversy on campuses last year. A Yale professor ultimately resigned after an uproar when she dared to criticize the university’s “implied control” over Halloween costumes. Since then, dozens of universities have hosted events about Halloween and cultural appropriation,...

In a 2015 memo by the Secretary of the Army to worldwide Army Commands, the Secretary dictated that ‘Commanders and soldiers will balance lactation support and readiness.’ In response, Colonel (Ret.) Fred Dibella, USMA Class of ’69 and former TAC of Company F2 at West Point wrote: “Ok, I’ve had all I can stomach. I’m done. Scroll down and read this crap right now, if you think I’m kidding, then come back to my remarks, if you haven’t puked your guts out. (USMA ‘69 forum, feel free to permanently ban me from your rolls, but I’ve had enough.) Obama and...
