  • Women sailors share first gay kiss in US Navy

Oh believe me, she was quite open about it to the point of attending pride parades in uniform and posting all about it all on facebook. She most definitely DID NOT keep anything a secret. So yeah, most definitely factually wrong.

I know “Missy” Gaeta personally and she was bisexual (I am still good friends with her ex-boyfriend who was seriously thinking about a future with her) before she joined up and soon as she did, she was FAR more about marching against DADT and gay activism all while she was serving than she was in serving her country. She was blatantly in violation and knew it when she signed up and while she was serving. I was facebook and real life friends with her for awhile and she was obsessed with her lesbianism and DADT for years. It defined her to the deteriment of everything else. She also has a huge chip on her shoulder about it and believe me for that and other reasons relating to her personality (why I no longer can allow her to be in my life), I worry about her having a security clearance (flies off at the handle, bipolar, delusional, randomly attacks people out of nowhere etc.) Just listen to her interview. Serving in the Navy has never been about serving our country for her, it was always about her, Snell, and being a lesbian. That she was chosen and neither of them look like most lesbians, strongly suggests to me that this was a set-up.

AP, Fox News, and the North Koreans are saying its nuclear. State Department and the Koreans are saying its possible and looking into it. It’s in almost the exact same spot as the 2006 test and folks have been saying a test is coming soon.

Particularily good timing is this editorial by John Bolton in the WSJ on Wednesday “Get Ready for another North Korea Nuke Test”

Anybody check out the link to another nightmare?

    http://www.myfashionlife.com/archives/2009/04/06/michelle-obama-wows-again/

Its a nice dress and for once isn’t horribly busy like the rest of her clothes, but its the absolute worst dress for her body. Those ruffles are on the thickest part of body and the A-line just accentuates her hips. She looks like a cowbody whos walking like hes been riding all day. The top part might be ok if the bottom wasn’t so wrong for her, but as it is, it just makes her look like a skinny muscular man on top. I truly don’t get it. Doesn’t she look in the mirror or ask anyone??? Do any of her fashion worshippers even look at her?

Horrible idea. There are some people with real skills and that do work hard employed by the federal government that do real work some of which can’t be done anywhere else (folks in the intel community for one, NASA, some DOD civilian jobs). An engineer, scientist, doctor, or lawyer (like patent lawyer) is not going to work for the government with that kind of salary and there are jobs that require those skills that only the federal government can do. Nor is that kind of salary cap going to attract good managers. Not to mention that most of these jobs are in expensive areas (Metro DC area).

Anybody in the DC area? I can’t even leave my house without being assaulted by this slobbering fawning. I go to the grocery store and trip over Obama displays, inauguration food displays, and racks of Barry the Boy Wonder on magazine covers. I go to get my oil changed and in the waiting room, two people have Obama t-shirts on and are glued to their magazines with Obama on the cover with the rest of us subjected to a loud TV covering our new Messiah’s arrival into the area. I prefered to storm out and wait in the freezing cold instead. I go to my apartment gym and they have CNN loudly blaring and people glued to it. Just about every car in NoVa has an Obama sticker on it.

Every music radio station is going on and on about it. I am so sick of this crap. I can’t even leave my house or without having it in my face. It’s like the whole darn area has lost its darn mind...

Atlas Shrugged is what I got my Obama worshipping brother for Christmas! That and some conservative economics books. He complained he didn’t know enough about economics (obviously) and wanted to learn more.... so he can’t whine too much because he got what he wanted.

Here’s my suggestion I submitted (with an address that’s not mine...). Not snarky at all. Not at all....

In order to tackle health care, how about we get a real leader with his own ideas, vision, and political courage instead of some empty suit (that would be B. Hussein Obama) who needs to do the equivalent of running out of his building to ask the man on the street how to do his job because he’s in over his head to tackle this issue?

Thanks for that. I could have written the same thing myself. I tried talking to my peers and relatives my age this election season, but it was like banging my head on a wall. Yaddity yaddity.. Sarah Palin’s stupid... she’s a religious nut.. Bush economy... its not fair the rich have so much let’s tax them... whine why can’t the government give me healthcare... First black president!... Obama is young and refreshing and change and cares about us young people! It’s depressing that amount of sheer ignorance - particularly on economic matters, whining, and groupthink. Some of the kids I know who used to think for themselves now all say the same tripe. Well, I at least take comfort in the fact that kids like us will be ok whatever happens because we take responsibility for ourselves and don’t need some political messiah to give our lives meaning. And of course, I can’t wait for when reality sets in and these kids realize “the emperor has no clothes.” Our generation definitely needs a harsh dose of reality.

Yeah, it’s a little too early to write eulogies for the Republican party. I mean weren’t people saying in 2002-2004 that all the demographic trends were against Democrats? That we would have some permanent Republican majority?

In 2002-2004, the demographic trends were our way - growth in red states, loss of people in blue states, increasing support from Hispanics (talked about at the time as natural conservatives?), increasing inroads into the black community, Republicans have babies - liberals either don’t or kill them in their womb, folks moving to the suburbs, etc...

These things don’t permanently change in 2-4 years without something MAJOR happening. Most Bush voters who voted Obama and dems this time basically threw tantrums because of their own financial situation and wanted someone to blame or fell under his hypnotic spell or liked the idea of a black president.

Unless Obama and the Dems either enact amnesty, the Fairness doctrine, DC statehood, overturn election fraud measures, or actually ending up doing a halfway decent job (unlikely), then it’s far too early to talk about Permanent majorities.

Never bought a gun before but I’ve thinking of it the last three weeks. Definitely will now, but i have no idea what to get. My mom who is not at all a gun person decided to get one Wednesday. Fortunately I live in VA. I hope its possible to buy one without the government knowing? I don’t want to get a list for the confiscation I expect to come down the road...

My brother and parents keep calling me and emailing me about coming home for Christmas. I don’t know if I can stand to be around my former Republican now brainwashed commie brother and his commie fiance and my limo liberal uncle talk about how far we’ve come to elect Obama who will fix all of our wrongs. My brother’s biggest concern is income inequality and wants higher taxes on the rich because he’s throwing a tantrum that he doesn’t have the job with the pay he thinks he should so he thinks he should get Obama to steal from his sis. This whole election he has been sending me his socialist junk and trying to goad me. Fortunately, my parents (one Maoist and one Republican) all agree with me on my brother and support McCain.

I have lost all respect for my mother and brother-in-law who call my husband everyday to talk about the glories of Obama and not to talk about him or family stuff. They all voted Republican (Missouri) in 2004 but since they haven’t a clue how to manage their money, they lost it all when the tech bubble burst (no divestification whatsoever) and then lost customers because all of their customers are.. wait for it... tech companies... and of course bought a huge house on the expectations that the gravy train would keep coming. Brother makes 20k a year and dropped out of school because he knocked some girl up.

These people threw a hissy fit and vowed to never vote for Republicans again because somehow Bush and the Rs were responsible for their poor decisions. Of course, they want government to take from people who aren’t fools like them with their money to give to them. I have zero respect for them now and don’t want to see them at Christmas rubbing it in my face and talking about all the goodies they are going to get from people like me. Independent dem leaning hubbie who voted McCain (we live in VA) is starting to agree.

Utterly ashamed as well. This is not the America I grew up to love and dedicate my career to. This is not the same country that brought us the ideals espoused in our Constitution and Declaration of Independence. I used to have faith in the American people, but they have failed us twice - in nominating Hussein and electing him president. Well, America was great while it lasted...

Obama will NEVER be my president. I have never had any respect for him and he does not respect our constituition, this country, or its people. He is not in the same league as anyone who has ever held the office - Democrat or Republican.

Right now, I am regretting taking money from the federal agency I work for that directly supports the president for graduate school in exchange for a two year commitment. I cannot work for that man and he will never be my president. Hillary Clinton, I can accept. Edwards, Gore, Kerry, I could work for him. But Barack Obama - the dishonest marxist empty suited charlatan, never.

If she lives in Northern Virginia, she might like my parish.

Fortunately not that way at my catholic church in Northern Virginia. Every Sunday since Labor day the pastor reminds us that we need to vote for the pro-life candidate. This week, he gave a special announcement after mass informing us that one candidate is in support of the Free-Choice Act and that we cannot vote for such a candidate. Life before liberty before pursuit of happiness and the economy. At least twice this fall he compared abortion to the Holocaust and slavery. After mass, voters guides in our bulletins and abortion pamphlets on our cars greeted us.
