Obama Camp Enraged over Wright Ad; Over $8 Million Raised
GOPtrust.com ^ | Nov 2,2008 | Scott Wheeler

Message from The National Republican Trust PAC
From Scott Wheeler

Dear Supporter:

We have now raised over $8 million in our final emergency effort to stop Barack Obama.

I can tell you that the Obama campaign is absolutely enraged by our activities and our new ad reminding voters of the close relationship between Rev. Wright and Obama.

Two of the major TV networks have temporarily suspended our ad because of complaints by the Obama campaign. They have complained about the pictures used in the ad depicting Obama and Rev. Wright.

Our legal team is fighting back. We expect to be back on the air!

Other pro-Obama supporters are claiming Obama was not really that close to Rev. Wright and that we are exaggerating the relationship.

The facts: Obama has stated that he was converted to Christianity by the Rev. Wright in his late 20s. Previous to that, as a child Obama had been raised by his stepfather as a Muslim.

Obama has described the Rev. Wright as a mentor, friend and advisor. His description, not ours.

Obama stated he could not reject Rev. Wright any more than he could reject the Black Church.

Again, his words, not ours.

All of Obama's attacks indicates this ad is having a powerful effect.

We are planning a final, major effort Monday night on television in key swing states and on Tuesday morning.

Anything you can contribute today will help our important cause.

Time is absolutely critical. Help us defeat Obama — Go Here Now.

Thank you.

Scott Wheeler
Executive Director

P.S. Don't believe the polls. The AP recently asked poll respondents if they really were undecided and might still switch their vote. One in 7 — nearly 15% — said they still really hadn't decided. This means the election can still be won by McCain. Obama can be defeated. You can help us make that happen by Going Here Now or call our donor hotline at 1-866-957-1467.

This ad is causing a big stir. The folks at Huffington Post are getting a little nervous. The media is in an uproar.

If I would have know, I would have donated money to these guys. McCain is an idiot. McCain wouldn’t even take a knife to a gun fight with the Democrats. 26 years in the Senate, and he still has no idea what the Rats are like.

They’re enraged? Too bad. It’s not a smear when you tell the truth about your opponent. Obama’s been given a free pass by the Pravda/MSM. I’m glad there are still some people left with the guts to tell the truth in this country.

Obama has described the Rev. Wright as a mentor, friend and advisor. His description, not ours.

Obama also describe Wright as part of his family, like an Uncle.

Pretty good stuff. I just saw a Rev Wright one on TV in Kansas City.

I sent them money last week as did other family members.

I aplaude McCain for not wanting to do this himself as he is an honorable guy. But the Obama folks are ruthless so somebody had to deal with the issues that McCain wouldn’t.

There are still a lot of undecideds.

That would’ve been way too early and, hence, a big mistake.

Isn’t it strange that Obama and his minions used every means to vilify and disrespect “JOE THE PLUMBER”.

However, when they don’t like the message, they Use “Censorship” and “Intimidation” to shut down all dissenting voices especially in the case of his dear Friend and “Mentor” Rev Wright.

The MSM has not been truthful to us. We can not believe them anymore. Anyone who has another opinion about Obama is called names or silenced or threatened.

All of these people he just happens to know. Ayers, Wright, Khalidi, Odinga...

Obama is a liar and I am fighting back the urge to say “This country deserves what they get if they vote this sociopath in”. I’m fighting it real hard.

I don’t like McCain one little bit, but I don’t think that it is productive to bad mouth him so soon before the election. I don’t want to discourage anyone that might still be on the fence,
or thinking of not voting because of McCain.

We need every vote that we can get, and deal with “ACE” later.

America Deserves Better also has an ad out slamming Barry on his terrorist ties and Rev. Wright...it ran during Fox & Friends this morning.

with all due respect, who gives a flying fark about the huffington post? All the site is a place for libs to hang out and pat each other on the back, not unlike this site. And I am not saying that as an insult but the site was designed, like this one, for like minded people to congregate.
