Pro-Obama Catholics plan ‘stop the vote’ at parishes

Denver, Oct 31, 2008 / 06:26 pm (CNA).- Priests for Life is warning that James Salt and Chris Korzen from the pro-Obama organization Catholics United sent a blast email on Thursday offering instructions on how to prevent pro-life Catholics from distributing electoral guides near Catholic parishes around the country. Fr. Frank Pavone, director of Priests for Life, has also pointed out that the Catholics United plan could have negative legal consequences.

In a message sent from the email address parishprotection@catholics-united.org under the subject "Help Protect Catholic Churches from Political Manipulation," James Salt and Chris Korzen say that with less than a week to go until Election Day, things are getting ugly. “In a final act of desperation, the religious far right is calling on its activists to defy the U.S. Catholic Bishops' order to keep unapproved election materials from church property by doing a 'literature drop' at parishes across the country. The goal of this activity is to convince Catholics that it's immoral to vote for candidates who don't subscribe to the right's narrow agenda."

The email goes on to warn that last Monday, "the partisan group Priests for Life held a teleseminar to train some 3,300 activists nationwide on how to place divisive political literature on the windshield of every churchgoing Catholic's car this Saturday and Sunday."

Salt and Korsen then announce that Catholics United is "spearheading an effort to put the brakes on the religious right's plans in as many parishes as possible," and is asking followers to "call your pastor and encourage him to instruct the ushers to monitor the church parking lot during the worship service."

“There is absolutely no way for the common believing people to reform this church”.

Wait and see.

Every 400 years the Catholic Church renews itself—and we are now seeing the dawn of another era of renewal.

There are many, many “common believing people” in the Catholic Church and it has always been the lay people in each renewal time who have saved the Church. It is from them that a new generation of good priests comes and we begin again.

Only God is changeless—humanity is always in cycles of growth and decline until the Lord comes to gather his Church for all eternity.

So you left. Be assured that someone else has come to pick up your baton. It has always been this way.

ROE

Man, if this ain’t a battle between good and evil I don’t know what is.

I heard a big time preacher this morning ask “What if a muslim leads this country?” That’s deep. His sermon was to rely on God no matter what. He said, “I’ve read the entire book and in the end, we win!”

At my mothers parish, the pastor was complaining about “partisan” canvassing being done in the church’s parking lot. Sure enough, these “partisan” pamphlets were all about Obama’s support of partial birth abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, homosexual marriage, etc. Basically, the folks distributing these pamphlets were saying what the padre should be saying from the pulpit.

I suggested to my mother that she stop supporting her parish financially until the pastor either repents or is replaced. We don’t need these namby pampy kumbaya types on the altar or in the pulpit.

Thank God for the fact that it is His Church and He will clean it up. The Paraclete is on the move. Come home, we need you.

They're not Catholics, Catholics do not, and never have, called the Mass a "worship service". The term ' worship service' is a Protestant term, Catholics simply call it "the Mass".

Speaking of Fr. Frank Pavone, he received hundred of death threats and thousands of hate mail messages because he stood outside the murder place of Terri Schiavo and fought to save her life. Shortly afterwards Planned Parenthood called Fr. Pavone, "our worst and most feared enemy".

FILTHY, DESPICABLE SLUR ALERT

If all “Catholics in name only” were kicked out of the church, there would only be need for 3 churches east of the Mississippi!

END FILTHY, DESPICABLE SLUR ALERT

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Read Gramsci.

They are Catholics so they can be part of the demoralization of America. It is part of the international Marxist plan!

The following is a short video of an interview with a former KKB spy. It is explains the process very well.

This is possibly even worse than suspected. George Soros appears to be funding anti-Catholic organizations that are pretending to be Catholic. Importantly, do not assume that the membership of these organizations is Catholic. In fact, quite likely many or most are atheists, with just a minority being ex-Catholic.

Remember, in past, organizations opposed to Catholic doctrines have infiltrated church services for nefarious reasons such as disrupting masses and stealing the Host.

I would not be surprised if such people even resort to violence, such as vandalism to vehicles parked outside a church, calling in bomb threats, or physically attacking those distributing pro-life information at the church.

"I am Baptist and not very knowledgeable on Roman Catholic polity. But I was wondering....why doesn’t the RC just excommunicate these two and others that violate RC beliefs?"

They do, actually, it is called Latae Sententiae, the automatic excommunication of Catholics who renounce certain doctrine, or who are in serious violation of Catholic doctrine. One of these is the procuring of an abortion, or the performing of an abortion. Many Catholics aren't aware of this type of excommunication, but it is clearly written in the Catholic Code of Canon Law. Another situation that would cause the automatic excommunication of a Catholic would be a Catholic who apostacizes from the faith or who renounces the Pope as leader of the Church. There are other situations as well that would cause a latae sententiae excommunication.

I don't know for certain, but my guess as to why many of whom the Church knows are dissident are not publicly excommunicated is that it may violate their privacy and create a scandal in the hateful media. Just a guess. Another reason, of which I feel quite certain, is that the Church has been deeply infiltrated by liberalism, as has every other element of world society today. That said, I know that when a Catholic group has been publicly excommunicated it is almost never publicized in the media, (except when they feel it may embarrass the Church, of course). One such example is when Bishop Fabien Bruskowetz excommunicated a group of 'Catholics' who call themselves "Call to Action". In 2006 the Vatican confirmed the Bishop's excommunication of this entire group, but who knows except for a few informed Catholics?

The Catholic Church is thoroughly infiltrated with Marxists who worship Karl Marx instead of God.

I know. I am a graduate of Villanova University and a former Catholic. I was and am disgusted!

Take it easy there... Just for my curiosity, I have two questions... What part of the country are you in? And how long ago was it that you left?

Things are slowly changing... an overarching majority of today's seminarians have no interest in most liberal theology (and certainly no use for Marx).

The liberals and Marxists in the Church have been forced to call retreat, though they will still hold a fair degree of influence for some time.

It is changing. I invite you to consider a second look...
