After Action Report Austin, TX March 19, 2005 freeping the anti-war protestors. Some Freepers joined the Protest Warriors to counter the Anti-War protestors. Week after week we read the wonderful exploits and chances for freeping that the D.C. freepers do. Now is your chance for Midland, TX freepers. The SBC HQ in Midland TX is being protested. I kept hearing about the A.N.S.W.E.R .having rallies in 200 cities around the world. Austin, TX was one of the ones listed on their website. No details were posted but I planned to go for weeks. Freepers gather in Crawford to try to see President Bush. From San Marcos the Bat Lady and her dad (from El Paso) drive to Austin and pick up Gracey. TheSarce drives down from Dallas where she has been staying and on her way back stops off in Crawford to have a hamberger. Intel from past years has it that the President has come into town to have a hamberger on the 31st of the year.

so the Dixie Chicks came to town and we couldn't let them off totally, here in Texas. It was a gloomy almost rainy evening and getting cooler. We got there between 6:15-6:30 for the 7:30 show. I just came from a meeting where I learned that Tuesday April 8th the Hays (Texas) County Commissioners Court plan to pass a pay raise for county employees. Most levels get a 2-3% raise but the Sheriff's department will get 20-40% payraises. Let me explain there are 5 commissioners. One is a democrat who votes more republican than most republicans. One is a true republican and the other 3 are RINO's. I would like to see them receive a few (hundred) emails that remind them they are supposed to be fiscally responsible and adhere to Republican principles. I will include...

Finally the south steps of the Capitol in Austin TX. were covered with American flags and support the troops signs. Lots of support for President Bush. It was thrilling after so long of just a few of us meeting to support the troops to see the place covered with flags, cheering people and many saying we won't be silent any more.

I freeped the Peace Rally in tiny Wimberly Tx tonight. It was a candlelight vigil and I have never met nicer people. I got there about 30 minutes early and there was no one at the designated place. I did see 3 people walking around whose car had a bumper sticker that said "War with Iraq... NO" They left since nothing was going on. Finally at 15 minutes till trucks and vehicles started arriving.
