I rarely make comments that appear either pro-ukraine or pro-russia, but this is exactly how we would feel if there we have a war with one of our neighbors and we found they were being supplied with weapons that were used inside our borders.

Something like Vietnam or Afghanistan are very different, when both sides have proxy interests, and even if your own troops are getting killed, it’s not the same thing when foreign entities are supplying weapons to attack you inside your own sovereign lands. I could very much hear our own leaders suggesting that weapons supplied by foreign interests to attack us directly would necessitate commensurate responses.

Well, we make the similar arguments about Iran when our own service members are killed.
