This is an action report of the support Judge Roy Moore and our religious freedom in America. One of 42 rallies held in State capitols around the US.

The rally was planned in 3 days by www.restoretheconstitution.org and Jim Phillips.

Speakers were Jim Phillips Adam McManus talk show host in San Antonio and Jim Cabaniss president of American Veterans in Domestic Defense

We opened with prayers, singing and even had a sign language interpretor. It was a very windy day, good for flags, bad for signs.

Freepers in attendance were TheSarce and The Bat Lady. We only had about 2 1/2 hours notice. But 50-75 people were there from Austin, SA, Houston, Dallas, San Marcos and even someone from Springfield MO.

Not sure who said what but main theme was that our religous freedoms are being taken away and we must stand up NOW to preserve them.

A transcript was read where Judge Moore was asked repeatedly to renounce God to be able to stay on the bench and he refused. We were asked to notice that the 10 commandments were not mentioned at this time, only God. It was pointed out how the 10 commandments are all over our Supreme Court and each court is opened with “God save the US and this honorable court”

one speaker said that where God had given us only 10 to remember but when man started in giving us laws they are so huge and many that we can’t keep a copy in the car or desk but would probably fill the TX state capitol building.

One speaker noted that after the decision was made there were weird weather happenings all over, i.e. 5 inches of hail in Los Angeles... an unusual thing to happen at anytime. He said God is watching this nation and our decisions.

Adam McManus will replay 1 hour of this rally on his SA station AM 630, KSLR on Monday 11/24/03

Jim Cabaniss President of American Veterans in Domestic Defense www.avidd.org was very exciting. He said that they are gathering veterans who have already taken their oath to uphold the Constitution and now since home fight the domestic enemy.

The veterans go to their churches and schools and teach the Declaration of Independance, the Constitution and Bill of Rights. What a great idea!!! I plan to check out this guy’s site.

There will be a bigger rally like this planned for sometime in January with more notice and I will try to find out and get a thread up in time for better freeper attendance.

There was an Ex-freeper there (or should I say former freeper) who said he was kicked off FR... DJoyce.

I asked him, whatever for? and he said for telling the truth. There must me more to it than that, because FR is about the Truth.

God bless the USA!

I got 2 new party literature and platforms handed to me:
The Southern Independence party of Texas
and
The Constitution Party platform.

Was also asked to sign a petition that was handed to me to get others to sign, I haven't checked it out yet, but briefly to kick out the federal judiciary from the States. I believe that the Fed. judges overstepped thier bounds in Alabama but need more research for this.

Is this about religious freedom or attempted Christian domination?

When this country was founded we were
98% protestant (Christian)
1.8% Catholic (Christian)
and .02% Jewish

If Christians aren't allowed freedom of expression of their religious freedom then it isn't America anymore.

This is about religious freedom of expression...
and if you think that Christians aren't being stamped down, then look around....it is everywhere!

Fantastic job ya'll!!! I would have loved to have been there. Please keep me posted on any upcoming rallies, if you don't post a thread I'd love a FReepmail or to be added to a ping list if you have one.

Okay, I'm going to try to post some pictures... Some are video captures off my camcorder, some are from my new digital camera.

First is the emcee of the rally, Jim Phillips:

It worked! Next is Adam McManus from KSLR radio in San Antonio. By the way, he will be playing clips from the rally this afternoon during his show, I think you can listen online at KSLR.com.

More flags. There were approximately 100-130 people, but they were spread over a large area, so I don't really have any "crowd shots."

Pastor Charles Flowers (I hope I got his name right!) sang a stirring version of "God Bless America."
