The National Republican party asks for our help...

You know that Americans LOVE to give their opinions. We think that our civic duty is to vote and some of us do, but Most of us don’t.

However, we think things out, sometimes think we have a better Way to do things in a conservative manner. We ARE The People, You know the ones who give OUR consent to those who govern us.

Some of us made our opinions known to the Texas Republican Convention By sending Resolutions up thru the process. If you haven’t read the Texas Republican Party Platform it is quite a strong conservative … if you will … Rule book for Republican Congressmen and Senators who represent us Nationally and locally.

You ask where is the Republican backbone to stand up and fight for our judges to be confirmed and all other problems America faces today? WE are the backbone. We must tell them in no uncertain terms that we stand behind them to make America Stronger, safer, restore freedoms to Americans.

They have provided a link to put things on the Republican national platform. Let’s tell them what we expect them to do to earn our votes and then lets vote them out if they don’t fight for these principles.

Pick something from the list that you are informed about and share your ideas with The leaders of the party. PS If you are a democrat do it in your party.

Keep pressure on the Democrats for their memos denying Miguel Estrada a vote because he wasn’t Hispanic enough. Read… too conservative.

Whatever your beef is… let them know. Short and sweet will have more impact.

Where's the Texas Democrat Party state platform? I've looked for decades and never could find one.

The Republican platform has always been wild in Texas. I remember the first pro-life one. Chairman Paul Murphy turned the chair over to John Tower for the abortion section. The vote was tied and Tower was about to cast the deciding vote against the pro life plank, (as Chair he could only vote in a tie), when committe member Nancy Gordon returned from the restroom. Tower asked for her vote, she said "for', he threw the gavel at her and stormed out of the room to get a drink.

But it's all meaningless anyawy.

some of my thoughts:

abolish income tax, replace with national sales tax, exempt necessities from the national sales tax by rebating enough to cover national sales tax on basic family necessities, i.e. food, shelter, utilities.

if can't abolish inclome tax then at least roll back the taxes imposed on social security income. this is the most unfair tax there is.

use profiling to catch terrorists and prevent torrorism it is asinine to search very young kids and old ladies when we know that the great majority of terrorist fit a particular profile

have a straight up or down vote in the senate to eliminate the "gentlemens agreement" on votes needed for cloture. Let's do what is needed to get some judges appointed, appoint them during recess if necessary and let's get on with it.

impeach some federal judges who are obviously re-writing the constitution. you won't have to impeach many before they will get the idea.

quit spending like drunken sailors. you cannot make liberals like you no matter how much you do to appease them so start doing what you were elected to do.

quit spending our hard-earned money to provide services to illegal immigrants that we cannot afford for ourselves. start securing the borders and ejecting these criminals. Maybe we can't completely secure them but we can damn well start trying. we are not even trying now.

start firing some incompetent people. civil service or not, a new administration should be authorized and probably even REQUIRED to fire 5% of all federal civil servants within his first two years of office.
