FBI raids homes of top aides for NYC Mayor Eric Adams

The homes of two top officials close to NYC Mayor Eric Adams were raided by the FBI Wednesday, sources have confirmed to FOX 5 NY's Morgan McKay.

First reported by THE CITY, FBI agents raided the homes of two top NYC officials – First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright and Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Philip Banks III

Benjamin Brafman, an attorney for Phillip Banks, confirmed to FOX 5 NY's Linda Schmidt that a search was conducted at his client's home on Wednesday.

"I have been clear that my message throughout my public life is to follow the law and that's what we're doing," Adams said in an interview with FOX 5 NY on Thursday. "And we're going to comply with whatever inquiry and whatever we have to submit." Adams also said that the raids do not mean indictments will necessarily follow.

The reasons for the raids are unclear at this time. THE CITY reports that a source said the cell phones and laptop of Wright and Banks were taken.

According to one source familiar, the investigation might not be connected to the federal corruption investigation surrounding Adams and his campaign fundraising.

Adams and his entire administration are probably corrupt, but his sin was speaking out against all the illegal immigrants getting sent to NYC, that is a sin that can’t happen inside the Democratic Party.

He was probably warned to cease and desist the criticism, when he didn’t, he’s getting the full force of the FBI and DOJ and will likely end up in prison.

The article is more than 3 months old, so, Adams had plenty of time to stay a few steps ahead of the FBI, and has fired his chief of police, before things got too heated or impossible to control.

But, Adams is a democrat and democrats tend to get off easy under democrat control of the city and the federal government. So, to Adams, no harm done.

That particular article may be 6-8 days old, but the news about Adams being investigated is 2-3 years old, ever since his campaign for Mayor. In fact, in Feb this year, 2 homes in the Bronx owned by 2 of his top aides, were raided, for the same reasons as he most current article alleges. So, Adams knew what was coming and was acting to 'fix' the problem before this week. Part of the fix was to have his police commissioner resign, and no doubt, because the police commissioner had to assist the FBI with the investigations against Adams.

The story against Adams is a 2-3 years old already, but they've gotten too hot for Adams to handle, and so, the stories are being enhanced in the press and that's why many people are learning about the Adams problems now.
