James T. Hodgkinson, deceased, is believed to be responsible for the shooting in the 400 Block of E. Monroe Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia, around 7:09 a.m. on June 14, 2017. The FBI is asking for the public's assistance with any information regarding Hodgkinson.

The alleged gunman who shot Rep. Steve Scalise and others Wednesday made a negative post about the representative on his personal Facebook page in January 2015. James T. Hodgkinson, the man believed to be the gunman at a baseball field in Alexandria, Va., Wednesday morning, posted to his personal Facebook page on Jan. 8, 2015 that “here’s a Republican that should Lose His Job, but they Gave Him a Raise.”

In June of 2017, some madman opened fire on the Republican congressional baseball team as they practiced in Alexandria, Virginia. James Hodgkinson was the suspect. He was killed after being shot by Capitol Police who were protecting Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), who was the House Majority Whip at the time.
