Porsche and Audi issued recalls for more than 130,000 battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles to address two unrelated fire risks. The larger of the two campaigns is actually directed not at the cars themselves, but at the charging cables that were sold with them. This recall covers all vehicles sold with the company's 40-amp, 220/240V "industrial" charging cable designed to fit a NEMA 14-50 outlet. Parent company Volkswagen says Porsche and Audi were made aware of instances where the cable could overheat due to a poor-quality, outdated or defective home electrical setup, potentially leading to a house fire. VW said...

The newly revealed footage shows an Audi A4 pulled over on a four-lane road with its headlights on when two other vehicles approach from the other direction — turning to trap the Audi by blocking it at the front and rear. At first, the Audi rolls forward as the desperate 27-year-old driver tries to escape, but within seconds, at least three men leap from the surrounding vehicles...

China is losing its influence; it’s in decline. At the same time, however, China, ruled by a despotic regime, is responsible for 28.7 percent of global manufacturing output (more than 10 percentage points ahead of its No. 1 rival, the United States). This utter dependence on China for manufacturing must be stopped. As I write this, three countries are working to siphon customers away from China. Will their efforts prove to be successful?I speak from experience when I say the following: communist China is not a fun place to live in. Moreover, with its frequent power cuts and the Chinese...

German carmaker Audi is being ridiculed online after revealing its latest electric car model: the Audi e-tron. As was swiftly discovered by francophones around the globe, 'e-tron' is very similar to the French word 'ètron'.It is therefore unlikely that Frenchmen will be rushing to their local cardealers to purchase the new Audi, as 'ètron' means 'excrement' or 'turd'. Audi promises that the e-tron will usher in 'a new era of electric'. It writes on its website that the car is 'the only electric SUV built with Audi DNA,' adding: 'This is electric done the Audi way.' However, as reported by Inquisitr, social...

Four police officers detained the Audi boss at his home at between 6 and 7 am, a spokesman for Munich prosecutors told AFP, saying that the arrest was justified as he is...
