I wanted to post these photos now.  I'll add any comments about the April 12, 2003 Citizens United/Young America Foundation Rally (co-sponsored by the DC Chapter) later, preferably to a separate thread for the written after action report that I hope will be posted shortly.  A separate post will include my photos of the later FReep by about 10 intrepid FReepers who counterprotested the ANSWER group as they walked by the WashPost. This was a great day.  Perfect weather, but a little breezy at times.  Great rally and our later FReep of the ANSWER fools went well.If this works right, you...

The City of Palm Bay, Florida held a Rally For America on Saturday, April 12,2003. Attendance was estimated at 2,500 although the local paper said 1,500 [imagine that]. This was the third support the troops rally in the area if you count the chartered bus trip to the Clearwater / Tampa rally featuring Glen Beck and Jeb Bush. See source URL for more photos.

On Saturday April 12th I spend my day as a spy in the camp of the enemy. I arrived some 1 1/2 hours after the start of their rally and quitely stood by as many of them ran about. One group of all dressed in black protestors engaged the police and ran outside the protest route at one point they even attempted to knock a DC Police Officer off his bike to which the police to their benefit where not having that the guy was arrested and his friends who egged him on before just looked on . The Pinkos...

Utah Rally for America After Action Report T Minus Four, 4mer Liberal (and lil' 4mer Liberal), yours truly :), and some lurkers met at the Captiol's front steps around noon. Everyone was excited for the rally and the opportunity to show our troops we support them and let the anti-war crowds that the silent majority isn't going to just 'sit there and take it' anymore. I think that Excuse_My_Bellicosity and redrock were around somewhere but we weren't able to find them. After organizers lined everone up to form the yellow ribbon, we were told that it would be an hour-and-a-half...

Saturday as promised, a rally was held at the Grand Rapids Veterans Park. Unlike last week when the temperature and wind caused the cancelling of the event, (even though we still had a rally anyway!), today was a beautiful day. The American Legion brought chairs, a P.A system, lots of uniformed members, lots of VIPs,lots of flags, classy all the way around. There were about 150 people and the first one (after an opening prayer of course), was our representative to Washington, Mr. Elhers. After him followed many others and I was the last speaker. There were also interspersed throughout...

On Saturday, April 12, Citizens United and the Young Ameriics's Foundation held a rally on the National Mall in Washington, DC. The rally, co-sponsored also by the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic, had the Capitol looming large a few blocks behind the stage. The Washington Monument soared up from the other end of the mall and the spirits of assembled patriots soared as well. DC Chapter had a table that drew numerous visitors, all of whom were encouraged to visit the FR website. People signed a banner for the troops at the FReeper table and flags, button stickers, and pins...

Supporters rally, protesters adjust By Associated Press April 13, 2003 WASHINGTON - Even as the war with Iraq winds down, protesters in the United States and abroad renewed their campaign against the conflict Saturday. In Washington, 10 blocks from an antiwar demonstration, supporters of the war effort drew thousands to their own rally. Protesters turned out in much smaller numbers than in the months leading up to the conflict, and their focus switched from keeping American troops out of Iraq to bringing them home. In Washington, where tens of thousands marched during protests in January and March, a few thousand...

It has been an amazing two days here in South Florida, we’ve rallied to support the men and women in our military who bravely put their lives on the line to defend us and put down a socialist rebellion of the uncleansed who armed themselves with pink parasols. Friday morning we woke to discover buried in an article of the Sun Sentinel about South Floriduh Anti-Americans traveling to D.C. To protest against our Nation, that the traitors who could not make that trip would be rebelling in Hollywood. This didn’t give us much time to counter their action, but Dennis...

We broke the rules this morning. FReepers had agreed not to oppose the peacenik’s message after the war started, but to instead support our troops. However, since the war took such a dramatic turn this week, we couldn’t resist one weekend letting the peacenik’s see what has been done not in their name. Especially since their protest does not seem to reflect the reality of what has occurred in Iraq, and the joyous expression of freedom by Iraqis for Iraqis. Besides, what else could be done with large pieces of yellow paper? Local citizens once again opposed the peacenik demonstration...
