James Piereson is a political scholar and analyst for the Manhattan Institute. He recently wrote a column comparing Kamala Harris to failed 1988 presidential candidate Michael Dukakis, but one of the most fascinating parts of the column is a passage where he predicts the outcome of the 2024 election. Piereson writes at The New Criterion (bolding added for emphasis): [Kamala Harris is now enjoying this kind of moment as she racks up endorsements in anticipation of the Democratic National Convention in August. Democrats and media allies are busy portraying her as a fresh face (she is not) and a youthful...

On Friday, leftwing professor Allan Lichtman, who frequently appears as a guest on CNN and MSNBC to hype his "13 Keys" to the presidency shtick was in an excited joyous mood. He had just heard from from former White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain that Joe Biden would remain in the presidential race thus preserving Lichtman's all important "incumbency key."Here is the jubilant Lichtman in an upbeat mood due to the preservation of his sacred incumbency key which he believed helped ensure Biden's victory in November.

As Americans head to the polls this fall, their decision regarding who will lead our country will also determine the fate of crypto here in the United States, and our security, prosperity, and freedom are at stake. This week, I will join President Trump and thousands of crypto market participants in Nashville for Bitcoin 2024, the world's largest Bitcoin conference. This year, the conference is held in my home state at a time that is clearly the tipping point for the future of crypto technology in the U.S. This fall, the future of crypto in America is on the ballot as...

The world’s richest man stunned Democrats when, only hours after the assassination attempt on President Trump at his Butler, PA rally, he announced that he was endorsing Trump in his re-election bid. ... Elon Musk has claimed that the 2024 presidential election would likely be the last to be decided by US citizens, blaming an “influx” of illegal immigrants being allowed to vote. The South African-born billionaire’s comments on his social media platform, X, came in response to news that Republicans in the House of Representatives passed a bill requiring citizenship status to be added to the ten-yearly census, despite...

Currently, Congress seems content to allow the FBI to investigate what happened in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13. This is the wrong approach. Because the government has an incentive to hide its own failures, when it comes to the attempt to assassinate Trump, especially given the U.S. Secret Service’s known failures, the must be an independent investigation. During my career, I worked several times with the United States Secret Service (“USSS”) on protective details when presidents and candidates came to our city. I believe the attempt to assassinate former President Trump was a horrific, epic failure, to say the least,...

Just one day after the announcement of Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race, his Department of Justice reported that it has located a transcript of a Biden interview that it previously said did not exist. The DOJ admitted to a federal judge Monday that there are, in fact, transcripts of Biden’s meetings with his biographer, Mark Zwonitzer, for Biden’s 2007 and 2017 memoirs... ... We don’t have some transcript that’s been created by the special counsel that we can attest to its accuracy,” Justice Department lawyer Cameron Silverberg said during a June 18 regarding a suit brought by...

The Morning Joe crew this morning was giddy with enthusiasm and excitement over Kamala Harris. Their delirium was epitomized by Eugene Robinson, the Washington Post columnist and MSNBC analyst, who said the feeling among his fellow Democrats is that: "This is not only a winnable race, but that they can really slam Donald Trump in this election coming up." Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

The world does not revolve around the American political calendar nor do rogues take a pause because White House aides and Democratic politicos wish a smooth coronation for Vice President Kamala Harris or whomever comes out of an open convention. If Democrats cannot provide a strong commander because Biden chose a vice president based on race and gender rather than ability, so be it. Virtue signaling has a cost. Harris, at least, is cogent. She can make decisions around the clock when a crisis emerges.

After the demise of Roe, abortion advocates channeled Chicken Little, claiming the sky would fall on pro-life candidates because outraged voters will elect their pro-abortion opponents. Pro-Abortion Candidates are Losing The media touted a State Supreme Court race in Georgia as a bellwether of races to come. Former pro-abortion Democrat Congressman John Barrow ran against incumbent Justice Andrew Pinson because as solicitor general he successfully defended the Heartbeat law. Barrow centered his entire campaign on abortion. Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion lobby groups endorsed him. Barrow lost by ten percentage points. During West Virginia’s primary, eighty-seven percent of the candidates...

In this map, red does NOT mean more Republican than pink, and pink does NOT mean more Republican than gray. Red represents a state that has not been considered a battleground state. Pink represents a state that had been considered a battleground, but polls show Harris uncompetitive, less so than Biden. Gray represents states without Trump vs Harris polling available. The point is that there is no path to 270 without a huge swing towards the Democrats, far larger than Trump's national lead. There are a dearth of Trump-against-Harris polls in every state, but the key point is that Harris...

Was this illegal part of a Venezuelan or Cuban military intelligence operation? Why, again, was he let in? Joe Biden's open borders may be about more than just replacing the electorate. The New York Post found that one of the most malevolent of the border surgers, a Venezuelan illegal named Leonel Moreno, who famously urged other illegals to squat in Americans' homes and waved hundred-dollar bills around to boast of his public benefits on TikTok, is being investigated by the feds for his military intelligence work for the Marxist dictatorship back home. According to the Post: Joe Biden's open borders...

Democrats are panicking. In the wake of his many gaffes and shaky debate performances, many view front-runner Joe Biden as unable to go the distance, and unlikely to beat Donald Trump if he succeeds in winning the Democratic nomination. Which of the more than 20 other candidates in the race would be a better bet, they wonder? This is where the angst sets in. Elizabeth Warren is too radical, Bernie Sanders too angry, Beto too absurd, Mayor Pete too young, Cory Booker too annoying, which leaves….Kamala Harris. She’s tough, she can debate, as a woman of color she checks numerous...

Senator Bernie Sanders basically admitted that President Biden is declining, but said he will support him anyway. In an interview with The New Yorker’s Isaac Chotiner, the Vermont senior senator confessed Biden “sometimes [gets] confused about names.” “You’re right—sometimes he doesn’t put three sentences together. It is true,” Sanders told Chotiner, before adding a big caveat. “But the reality of the moment is, in my view, he is the best candidate the Democrats have for a variety of reasons, and trying, in an unprecedented way, to take him off the ticket would do a lot more harm than good,” Sanders...

The 2020 election wasn’t stolen — but it could have been paid for. Mark Zuckerberg’s millions bought lefty activists access to local election offices, allowing them to organize massive get-out-the-vote efforts in Democrat-dominated cities from the inside.

After narrowly surviving an assassination attempt, former US President Donald Trump attributed his survival to divine intervention, urging Americans to stay resilient. The frontrunner in the US presidential race was struck in the ear by a gunman during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. The attack on Trump and his survival, coinciding with the Jagannath Ratha Yatra celebrations, has led many in ISKCON to see this as an instance of divine intervention, bringing back memories of Trump’s connection with the festival nearly fifty years ago. A top official of ISKCON, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, recalled Trump’s involvement with the...

Voters in Arizona who register with the state and do not provide proof of citizenship will be rejected. "This is a victory for election integrity in Arizona. Only U.S. citizens should be allowed to vote in our elections. It sounds like common sense, but the radical left elected officials in our state continue to reject this notion, disrespecting the voices of our lawful Arizona voters. We are grateful the court is upholding this provision in our law, and it's time for Congress to take action to ensure only lawful U.S. citizens are voting in federal races."

Turns out, Joe Scarborough wasn't telling the truth when for weeks and months he was talking up Biden's chances of winning, discounting any polling that indicated the opposite. We now find out that Scarborough knew better all along. On today's Morning Joe, Willie Geist told the truth. "I think what we saw yesterday was everything we'd been hearing in private. Not just, frankly, for the last three weeks, but for a long time, spilled out publicly. Which is that the polling now shows, private polling and now public polling, that we're seeing, internal polling and public polling, that this is...

Kamala Harris has suffered a blow in a poll that looked at how alternative Democratic candidates would do in swing states. There have been calls for U.S. President Joe Biden to be replaced as the Democratic candidate since the world watched his poor performance in his debate with Donald Trump on June 27. Many have assumed the vice president would be the obvious choice, but a new poll shows she doesn't fare as well as others, and she wasn't among the four who performed best. Analytics company BlueLabs carried out research to determine who would increase the number of people...
