Dear President Bush, There is unprecedented anger today amongst the American public. We all await your decision on what retaliatory measures the United States of America will make to this cowardly affront. So many deaths are touching enormous branches of family trees worldwide. We the friends, families, and lovers of those who have perished demand much more than the usual pusillanimous diplomatic-speak and ‘measured response’s that have to date been wholly unsuccessful in deterring these animals from their worldwide murderous rampage. For decades, we have watched as bomb after bomb has killed and maimed innocent men, women and children. We ...

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Authorities in Massachusetts have identified five Arab men as suspects in Tuesday's attack on New York City and have seized a rental car containing Arabic-language flight training manuals at Logan International Airport, a source told the Boston Herald newspaper. Two of the men were brothers whose passports were traced to the United Arab Emirates, the unidentified source told the Herald. One of the men was a trained pilot, the paper reported on its Web site on Wednesday. The paper said investigators suspect the two brothers were aboard hijacked United Airlines flight 175, which pilot union officials ...

Ten years ago, I sat in a military truck as it rode along Highway 80, "Death Highway" the main thoroughfare into Basra, Iraq. The 8-month standoff-turned-war against Iraq had been brought to and end by the decision of President George Herbert Walker Bush after three days of unleashed US anger against the violent Iraqis who had terrorized their neighbors in the Middle East. What I saw that day was beyond horror. Beyond expression. The carnage and death strewn out along the highway on both sides for miles was incredulous unless I had seen it with my own eyes. But ...

Psalms - 46:1 God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 46:2Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 46:3[Though] the waters thereof roar [and] be troubled, [though] the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. 46:4[There is] a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy [place] of the tabernacles of the most High. 46:5God [is] in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, [and that] right early. 46:6The ...

America's Most Deadly Weapon America is at war. Soon we will be utilizing our tremendous military assets to inflict pain and death upon the people responsible. Cruise missiles will no doubt slam into buildings. Bombs will fall down the ventilation shafts of bunkers. Guys with guns will grant many Arabs wish to be with Allah, sooner rather than later. This is good and has my blessing. But, IMHO, the sorry bastards behind the attack deserve our very best weapon. I refer, of course, to Hollywood and the entertainment industry. The astute among us realize that America has been harmed and ...

First the horror. The attacks on the World Trade Centre and Washington yesterday before a horrified world were the most vivid display of terror that I can recall. The heart of darkness had come to the heart of light and wreaked havoc. New York is a city I love. It is bond-brother of London and cultural capital of a nation that has entered the new millennium as master of the world. That made it a natural target of envy and hatred. Those who question America’s frequent global interventions in the cause of democracy do so always from a position ...

Leading up to last Sunday, when the hottest war movie of the moment, "Band of Brothers,'' had its first installment on television, its author was asked if the current generation could pull off another D-Day. Stephen Ambrose gave the correct answer. He said yes. He said that if our way of life was threatened, he had no doubt that the young people of today would rally in support of their freedoms. Make that middle-aged people, and older people, too. Point me in the direction of the enemy who destroyed thousands of lives in lower Manhattan on Tuesday morning and ...

GUN CONTROL; ADVANTAGE TERRORISTS As a nation, we have a fatal flaw. This flaw is a result of intellectual laziness and a desire to be always safe. We have instituted zero-tolerance weapons policies in both schools and airlines in the interest of "safety" because we are too lazy to deal with the real problems in a logical manner. It is so much easier to blame an object for an action rather than a person or group. The object can't object. Just as it is no surprise that concealed carry laws have reduced crime, it is no surprise that "gun free" ...

CNSNews.com) - Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said he has reason to hope that President Bush may ask Congress to declare war on those terrorist organizations - still unnamed, if not unknown - that attacked the American people on U.S. soil Tuesday. The president was expected to address the nation at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. Speaking on Fox News Wednesday morning, Gingrich said he couldn't overstate the importance of a formal war declaration: "When you go to war, you have a whole new set of rules. You can blockade, you can use force, and you communicate to other governments such as ...

Many Christian Americans today are asking the question "What does the terrorist attack on America have to do with Prophecy?" After much review and prayer, I believe there is nothing in the prophetic word of God that deals with these terrorist attacks on America. In fact, I don't see America in prophecy at all with the possible exception of being included in the reference to all the nations of the world being gathered at Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:2). However, political activity that takes place in the world today is part of the "stage setting" the Bible calls the "birth pangs" which ...

Was it Osama Bin Laden or is he just a Minor Player? Why Won't the Media Identify the Left-Wing Terrorists in our Midst? By: Mary Mostert, Analyst, Banner of Liberty (www.bannerofliberty.com) September 12, 2001 Increasingly, the chief suspect as the killer of an estimated 10,000 people (probably a low estimate)in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon yesterday is an eccentric fundamentalist Muslim oil millionaire Osama bin Laden. Yet, supporters of bin Laden say he doesn't have the ability to pull off such an attack. Who would want to, and could, destroy the World Trade Center? Does ...

Our thoughts are with you - we feel this deeply here in Great Britain. We have been subjected to decades of terrorism, and now we see the most horrific act of terrorism ever, dealt out to our closest and most trusted friends across the Atlantic. I have spoken to American friends who know people who died in those towers. Luckily my American relitives (some of whom are in the US military) were all away from the Pentagon at the time of the strike. I hope you and your families are all safe and well. Calm heads should be kept, but ...

Of course everyone is uneasy about expressing a guesstimate on the casualties related to this horrific act of war on the United States. People expecting a few thousand will once again be horrified. With approximately 250 per floor and up to 40-60 floors above the airplane entry point, adding in up to 1,000 casualties from the Pentagon attack, 280 NYC Firemen, people on the street, the numbers here could realistically approach 20,000. Putting this into perspective, we lost something like 50,000 soldiers in Vietnam I'm told. I'm not sure the deaths at Pearl Harbor but most were obviously military. The ...

New York (CNSNews.com) - As New Yorkers try to recover from the attack on the World Trade Center, financial markets have yet to feel the full impact of the terrorist action. Far beneath the shattered buildings, screaming ambulances and dazed New Yorkers on the streets of Manhattan are two of the world's largest gold depositories. One belongs to the US Federal Reserve Bank; another to a group of financial institutions. The Fed's gold reserve is housed 100 ft. beneath its headquarters, only blocks from the World Trade Center, whose twin towers collapsed into mammoth heaps of rubble after two hijacked ...

I have wondered today about the Christian humanitarian aid workers that were arrested by the Taliban several weeks ago. I wonder if the reason they were arrested was to serve as human shields because the Taliban knew the attacks were coming? Thoughts?

I have been a registered DU'er for purposes of knowing our enemy for at least three months. This morning I posted to a thread complaining that Christopher Ruddy had blamed Clinton for yesterday's attack. I replied that Ruddy was right because the 8 years of Bill Clinton appeasement of Arafat and the PLO - much like the appeasement of Hitler before WWII - was to blame. Wham! Less than 6 minutes later I was automatically logged out and could not log back in. It appears that the truth is not allowed on DUh! But we already knew that, didn't we?
