Our thoughts are with you - we feel this deeply here in Great Britain. We have been subjected to decades of terrorism, and now we see the most horrific act of terrorism ever, dealt out to our closest and most trusted friends across the Atlantic.
I have spoken to American friends who know people who died in those towers. Luckily my American relitives (some of whom are in the US military) were all away from the Pentagon at the time of the strike.
I hope you and your families are all safe and well.
Calm heads should be kept, but be assured that when the time for vengeance comes, Great Britain be there. We don't simply feel as if some foreign country has been attacked - we feel as if our most dearest, trustworthy and closest brother had been attacked. This is personal for me, and I suspect for all of us in the United Kingdom.
Our capital is now on a state of high alert, and our military, be it here or abroad in friendly or hostile places is on standby.

God help those that are not.
Yep, and maybe throw in the Germans. Anyone want to bet on the French?
I don't think we were falling then, and I don't think we are now, but friends always are a help.
I am pretty sure the secretaries will not be telling Bush that you've gone out of town.Catch Me Now I'm Falling
Written by: Ray DaviesPublished by: Davray Music Ltd.
I remember, when you were down
And you needed a helping hand
I came to feed you
But now that I need you
You won't give me a second glance
Now I'm calling all citizens from all over the world
This is Captain America calling
I bailed you out when you were down on your knees
So will you catch me now I'm falling
Help me now I'm calling you
Catch me now I'm falling
I'm in your hands, it's up to you
Catch me now I'm falling
I remember when you were down
You would always come running to me
I never denied you and I would guide you
Through all of your difficulties
Now I'm calling all citizens from all over the world
This is Captain America calling
I bailed you out when you were down on your knees
So will you catch me now I'm falling
Help me now I'm calling you
Catch me now I'm falling
I'm in your hands, it's up to you
Catch me now I'm falling
When you were broke you would come to me
And I would always pull you round
Now I call your office on the telephone
And your secretary tells me that she's sorry,
But, you've gone out of town.
This is Captain America calling
This is Captain America calling
Help me now I'm calling you
Catch me now I'm falling
I'm in your hands, it's up to you
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
I stood by you through all of your depressions
And I lifted you when you were down
Now it's your chance to do the same for me
I call your office and your secretary tells me
That you've gone out of town
This is Captain America calling
This is Captain America calling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
I was the one who always bailed you out
Of your depressions and your difficulties
I never thought that you would let me down
But the next time you're in trouble
Better not come running to me
Now I'm calling all citizens from all over the world
This is Captain America calling
I bailed you out when you were down on your knees
So will you catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
At the Memorial Service on Friday, an unprecedented THREE minutes of silence will be observed.
Britain shares the shock and sorrow of these attrocities.
