Do you think that the Congress will declare this an Act of War today? From what I am hearing in Congress....that's what it sounds like. For once, may we all be united....democrats, republicans, all.

I hope so, but I wouldn't be surprised if even this attack on America isn't enough for the Dems to drop the partisan crap. Some freepers have been to other discussion boards where the libs (Dems) are blaming this whole thing on Bush. Oh, if only we had a president like Bill Clinton, they breathlessly proclaim. Yeah, that's what we need.

Puff Daschle, 97 and Sheila Jackson-Lee can stand on the Capitol steps and sing "God Bless America," "Kumbayah" and whatever else they want, with all the sincerity they can muster, but it's hard to forget the venom they've spewed at President Bush.

Bush sending request to Congress for emergency funding to care for national security and to help NY and DC cope with problems. From the Congressional speeches I heard today, they're ready to grant this request. This truely is war between Good and Evil, but President Bush says, "We will win."

Yes, I agree. I got into it last night with FreeLiberatarian over GWB's speech. Idiot. I asked him a bunch of questions, but nothing he said answered any of them. He said he "pitied me" because GWB was my president. I told him, "I don't need your pity. I don't need you...as a matter of fact, so far I've gotten along quite well without you in my life."

He hasn't responded back. I'm not looking for a fight, but dammit (excuse me) I'm not going to sit back and watch some dumba&& lib tell me he "pities me"....

Her remarks seem more slanted to New York.....trolling for future votes? "Chuck" Shumer is a much better speaker and his speech had gravitas and conviction. Hers sounds more like one given in a speech class.....graded C.
