Islamic bigot Cenk Uygur’s attack on Israel in the context of the El-Sayed ad raises serious reminds about a resurgent antisemitic double standards. Pretending Israel isn’t fighting for its survival against armed groups backed by Iran and other hostile forces is a gross distortion of reality. Blaming Jews—or singling out aid to Israel as the culprit behind grocery prices—echoes a long and ugly history of antisemitic scapegoating. Foreign aid to any country is not a direct explanation for rising grocery bills, and isolating Israel for special condemnation demands scrutiny. When Israel alone is singled out, while its security threats are...

Precipitation monitors recorded more than seven times normal rainfall in parts of southeastern Utah over the past month, driving a dramatic rise in Lake Powell and transforming the San Juan River. ... SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — A month of extraordinary rainfall across southeastern Utah has sent water pouring into Lake Powell, lifting the reservoir's elevation by nearly 10 feet and turning the normally placid San Juan River into a raging torrent. Precipitation monitors in Bluff and at the Hans Flat Ranger Station tell the story. While southwestern and northern Utah received about twice their normal precipitation over the last...

New York City's socialist experiment is going great. So great, in fact, that the city's comptroller, Mark Levine, is sounding the alarm after 30,000 private-sector jobs left the city in just two months. Levine calls the trend "concerning."Here's more:Private-sector employment dropped by 23,000 in September after losing 7,400 jobs in August — with gigs in finance and tourism leading the private sector in declines, according to a new report by City Comptroller Mark Levine’s office.“Despite a relatively strong tourism season, Leisure & Hospitality employment fell 7,700 in September alone and is down 17,000 jobs over the past year,” Levine wrote,...

The Chiefs are taking a chance where no one else would. Kansas City has signed Justin Tucker to its practice squad amid a career-worst start to the season for their kicker, Harrison Butker, according to reports. The former Raven worked out Tuesday with the Chiefs alongside former Rams kicker Harrison Mevis. Tucker made all 30 of his kicks, according to The Ringer’s Tom Pelissero. Tucker is trying to find his way back into the league after he was released by the Ravens following multiple massage therapists accusing him of misconduct described as inappropriate behavior. The 36-year-old former Ravens kicker —...

Sick of web browsers tracking your every move and forcing intrusive, unnecessary AI features on you? Apparently, you’re not alone. Some of your favorite internet personalities — and real-life memes from the late 2000s and early 2010s — are joining forces to promote Firefox, a browser that's pushing back against online tracking and unwanted AI features. Mozilla, the non-profit organization behind the Firefox web browser, has just launched a new ad campaign to draw internet users away from AI-filled Google Chrome and back to Firefox's heyday in the late 2000s and early 2010s, when Firefox commanded up to 32 percent...

A Haitian illegal immigrant allowed into the United States through a Biden administration parole program is accused of fatally shooting the American woman who investigators say married him to help him obtain legal immigration status. Destino Jean-Louis, 23, allegedly shot Latosha Cooper, 45, outside a Walmart in Cheltenham Township, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 21, according to 6ABC. Jean-Louis waited outside the store for Cooper’s shift to end late that night, investigators said. Wearing a mask, he allegedly approached Cooper and shot her as she spoke with a coworker in the parking lot. Investigators believe Jean-Louis and Cooper entered into a fraudulent...

With the sun low in the sky, protesters took to the streets of Woodland on Tuesday to demand action against federal immigration agents. More than 100 community members gathered outside the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office on Second Street and nearby Heritage Plaza with signs and banners displaying messages such as “ICE Out” and “Abolish ICE” before marching to the office of U.S. Rep. President Donald Trump said Tuesday that his administration is ending a Biden-era rule aimed at reducing methane emissions from oil and gas drilling. The president announced the move during a campaign rally in Lubbock, Texas, in support of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton, saying it would save consumers and energy producers $45 billion and unlock 210 million barrels of oil. "Tonight, I'm officially terminating Biden's expensive and unnecessary methane regulations to save consumers and energy producers $45 billion in costs, unlock vast quantities of Texas natural gas and produce 210 million barrels of oil," Trump said. He added, "We've...

A large Georgia family survived flames that destroyed their house — thanks to a good Samaritan who stumbled upon the blaze after his GPS took him a different way home, officials said Tuesday. Firefighters in northwest Georgia were called at 11:58 p.m. Oct. 17 and rushed to 28 Rowlls Road, where they found the structure engulfed by flames, Lyerly Fire Chief Tim Deberry told NBC News. James and Larita Burke, their 11 adopted children and one grandchild made it out safely with a helping hand from 37-year-old motorist Casey Sparks, officials said. Sparks had been playing softball that day in...

The US megachurch isn’t really about getting closer to God. It’s more like attending a really expensive stage production. You know the type, right? Giant auditoriums, elaborate stage lighting, massive video screens, a worship band that sounds like it’s auditioning for American Idol, and a super “cool” and fashionable young pastor who looks like he’s being sponsored by a luxury sneaker brand. And that’s before you get to the coffee shops, bookstores, children’s entertainment centers, and sprawling campuses that look like Google headquarters, not a place of worship. Honestly, it’s quite the operation. But behind all that polished branding and...

Newly released data on the Harvard College class of 2030 say the class is 43.2 percent Asian-American, a record high and more than double the level when Students for Fair Admissions first sued Harvard alleging racial discrimination in admissions. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2023 that Harvard was unlawfully using race as a factor in admissions. Since then, the numbers of Hispanic and black students in the incoming Harvard classes have dipped, while the numbers of Asian-Americans have soared.

Democrats are brazenly promising to throw the door wide open to fraud if they win back control of Congress this November – yet the media has virtually ignored it. Earlier this month, House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries unveiled a “first 100 days” agenda that his party plans to implement come January to deliver on “affordability.” A central part of that agenda is reversing what Democrats call the Trump administration’s “Medicaid cuts” passed as part of the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) last year. The New York Times has uncritically parroted this framing, describing the plan as a “shock-and-awe legislative sprint...

On the menu today: If, in the past five months or so, you argued that the memorandum of understanding with the Iranian regime was a terrible mistake and an insane series of concessions to one of the world’s most duplicitous regimes, you were probably accused of having “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” This week, President Trump declared the cease-fire with Iran to be “a waste of time.” This morning, the Wall Street Journal reports that the U.S. is preparing for “a short, intense military campaign” against Iran “after the U.S. midterm elections.” As high as gas prices are today — a national...
