Doctors and health insurers have sued California Gov. Gavin Newsom and the state Legislature, arguing that a newly approved healthcare tax violates a voter-approved 2024 law.The lawsuit challenges the Managed Care Organization tax, which plaintiffs say circumvents Proposition 35’s limits on healthcare taxes and requirements for how the revenue is used.Health insurers warn that the higher tax could raise premiums by about $100 per person annually, potentially adding roughly $400 a year for a family of four. The Newsom administration says the tax is needed to help fund healthcare and offset major federal cuts to Medi-Cal, California’s public health insurance program...

US District Judge David Leibowitz dismissed a case against Florida non-citizen resident Chelsea Cox for voting in the 2020 election on the grounds that "under the US Constitution each state has the right to decide who will be allowed to vote in elections. Article I, Section 4 explicitly states that 'The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof.' There is no requirement regarding citizenship mentioned. Therefore it is my ruling that the federal government lacks the authority to prosecute Ms. Cox for illegally voting. The authority...

Move over, Richard Nixon. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) was so disgusted with a new report ex-special prosecutor Jack Smith covertly tracked the phone calls and emails White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles sent in 2024, while she was co-chairing President Donald Trump’s campaign, that he said it was a “bigger scandal than Watergate.” Lee said Smith’s actions should go down in history as a disgrace in a Monday morning X post. “Again: this is objectively a bigger scandal than Watergate,” Lee posted. “The main difference is that the Democrat establishment & media happily look the other way when the...

That is also the same price for New Year’s Eve. This year, those tickets cost $209. The 2027 price was expected to be $219, USA Today reported. Almost a thousand people were arrested across France on Monday as the multicultural teenager riots continue to ramp up with the backing of the far-left. At least 984 people were arrested, and 65 police officers were injured as the so-called high school protests entered their third week on Monday, in which hordes of teenagers have gone on violent rampages in cities across the country, with little in the way of a coherent message other than an apparent desire to usher in chaos. Since the riots began in mid-September, over 5,000 people have been arrested, 87 per cent of whom were...

A Portland jury was faced with an unusual question: Should a 71-year-old man who shot a stranger flashing his genitals at him on a MAX train be convicted of any crimes? It was after midnight when Michael Grover Phill and his legally blind life partner boarded a MAX train in North Portland in January.Later, a 40-year-old man with a gaping hole in the crotch of his pants and his penis clearly visible boarded the train. The man walked up and down the aisle, past the three passengers who were fumbling with some aluminum foil, a straw and what Phill presumed...

Updated on Oct. 5 at 3:36 p.m. Before the justices took the bench on Monday for the first oral arguments of the 2026-27 term, the Supreme Court issued a list of orders from the justices’ private conference on Sept. 28, where they considered petitions for review that built up during the summer recess. As it does each year, that “long conference” produced a lengthy list of denied petitions. The justices denied review in hundreds of cases, including a high-profile dispute over whether schools may bar students from wearing sweatshirts printed with the phrase “Let’s Go Brandon,” a clash over the...

The effort to end the conservative majority in the Wyoming House is backed by a well-funded left-wing network. The effort to end the conservative majority in the Wyoming House is not simply a spontaneous, homegrown campaign. It is backed by a well-funded left-wing network stretching from national progressive organizations directly into Wyoming’s Republican primary. In a red state like Wyoming, the vast majority of political races are decided in the Republican primary, as few Democrats run in the November general. Instead, liberals often run as Republicans and get supporters to infiltrate the Republican primary at the polls to vote for...

Most people will experience back pain. In fact, two-thirds of us will deal with it if we don’t already, said Karena Wu, doctor of physical therapy, Start TODAY trainer and orthopedic physical therapist. As we age, our back issues will only get more challenging because with getting older comes mobility changes. You might notice a shift in your ability to walk and move freely, and maintain balance and strength, she said during a TODAY segment. So, “restoring mobility and maintaining mobility is super important,” she added. And one move in particular can make all the difference.

See, this is what happens when you lie about being a doctor, Abdul El-Sayed. You do not understand how the healthcare system actually works, because you have never held a license to practice medicine and you've never treated a patient. If you had, you'd know what the wait times are for appointments in America. But lying helps serve El-Sayed's real agenda: destroying our healthcare system by socializing it, so lie he must. This time, it's about wait times for things like cardiologists.
