Mahmoud Khalil's 15 minutes on the national stage are almost over. Way back in January, a panel of judges from the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 that Khalil could be arrested and deported. In a split opinion, two of the three judges on the appeals court, Thomas Hardiman and Stephanos Bibas, found that the New Jersey district judge who oversaw Mr. Khalil’s petition for release was not the proper authority to have ruled on it. The matter should have initially been addressed by an immigration court, the majority said. But a third circuit judge, Arianna J. Freeman, disagreed, saying that...

We’ve seen plenty of violent anti-ICE action against the agency in Trump’s second term in office, but this episode goes right at or near the top of the “This Is Nuts" list.It happened in Chicago on Oct. 4, 2025, during an enforcement mission targeting criminal illegal aliens — "Operation Midway Blitz” — on the city's Southwest Side. That’s when Diego Emmanuel Reyes, 21, decided not to throw rocks, not to chant obscenities, but to intentionally ram his SUV into an agent’s vehicle. Newly released video shows that after striking the truck, the driver appears to accelerate, not slow down. Talk about...

Mexican Coke tastes different than American Coke; after all, it’s sweetened using cane sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup. That, at least, was the conventional wisdom until 2011, when a paper published in the journal Obesity found that Mexican Coke contained no cane sugar. Instead, the authors found plenty of glucose and fructose, which are the main ingredients in high-fructose corn syrup.

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) has introduced articles of impeachment against Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, alleging “high crimes and misdemeanors by violating the Constitution, disregarding his statutory obligations as Chief Justice, and breaching his oaths of office.” “I am saddened that the United States Supreme Court, once the most admired federal institution, has now become a political actor. While Chief Justice Roberts may claim otherwise, it has become clear that the Court now routinely favors partisanship, the rich over the poor, and the powerful over the vulnerable. This is a shift that undermines the Constitution of the United States,...

Rep. Thomas Kean Jr., R-N.J., has now confirmed an illness has kept him from voting on Capitol Hill since March 5 and says he plays to return to Washington, D.C., soon. However, neither he nor others have disclosed the details of his condition. In an interview with the New Jersey Globe, Kean said that in the next couple of weeks he will return to voting in the House and hit the campaign trail. “My doctors are confident that I’m on the road to a full recovery,” he also told the newspaper. PHOENIX (KPHO/Gray News) - A woman in Arizona is accused of killing a man who tried to end a date early after realizing he had been “catfished,” police said. Mikela Antresa Bahe, 30, is facing multiple charges, including second-degree murder, in the death of 52-year-old Norris L. Taft. Police said Taft was found seriously injured in the parking lot of an apartment complex just after 4 p.m. Sunday, May 3, and later died at a hospital. Investigators said surveillance video showed a woman getting into a dark-colored SUV as Taft walked in front of it, apparently trying to get the...

California Sen. Adam Schiff (D) is one of the most insidious Democrats in Congress, and that’s saying a lot these days. He reminds me of former FBI Director James Comey, since they both ooze fake sincerity and piousness even though their hands are dirtier than a kid’s in a mud puddle. When news broke Friday that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard was stepping away from her post because her husband had been diagnosed with a rare and serious form of bone cancer, decent people immediately felt for her and prayed for her husband’s recovery. “Decent” isn’t an adjective used...

Somewhere, Ron DeSantis has got to be sitting back, booted feet propped on his desk, laughing and smoking a cigar at what has been playing out in Florida's 20th Congressional District. As RedState readers will recall, at the governor's urging, the Sunshine State redrew its congressional map in late April just as the Supreme Court's ruling in Louisiana v. Callais was being handed down. Republicans hold 20 of Florida's 28 congressional seats. The new map, if it survives the current court challenges, could potentially net them another four seats in the upcoming midterm elections. One of the districts impacted was...

The saga of woke comics is the saga of woke America. Much like video games, comics and superhero movies were ignored by conservative movements as “meaningless kids stuff” until recently, which is part of the reason why those industries were so easily invaded by leftists and used to indoctrinate millions of children and teens a decade ago. Culture is more important than politics. This is obvious. It’s a fact that leftists have understood for generations and one that conservatives have foolishly dismissed. Only in the past few years has there been a shift; at least, the progressive rampage through America’s...

A woman was arrested after allegedly decapitating a statue of Jesus outside a Long Island Catholic church, police said. Deyonna Subert, 41, who police described as "undomiciled," was charged with second-degree criminal mischief in connection with damage to a Sacred Heart of Jesus statue at St. Mary’s Church in East Islip, according to Suffolk County Police. Police said the statue at the church, located at 118 East Main St., was damaged on May 15 at approximately 11:15 p.m. "After an investigation by Hate Crimes Unit detectives, Deyonna Subert was arrested outside of 221 West Main Street in Bay Shore at...

Whitmer won't give them money to keep operating, which suggests that abortion doesn't really matter anymore Livonia — Gov. Whitmer refused an emergency request by Planned Parenthood of Michigan for $5 million last week, telling them to go find the money elsewhere. The retaliation by Lansing Democrats was swift, led by State Rep. Laurie Pohutsky. Pohutsky, a strong advocate for Planned Parenthood, exploded in anger. “You can’t say you’re going to fight like hell and then not do the bare minimum when they’re in need,” she told The Detroit News. Two prominent Democrats fighting? Heavens to Murgatroyd, this must be...

The Trump administration was preparing Friday for a fresh round of military strikes against Iran, according to sources with direct knowledge of the planning, even as diplomacy continued. No final decision on strikes had been reached as of Friday afternoon. "Circumstances pertaining to Government" are keeping President Trump from attending his son Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding this weekend, he said in a social media post. The president had planned to spend Memorial Day weekend at his golf property in New Jersey but will now return to the White House. Some members of the U.S. military and intelligence community canceled their...

An estimated 40,000 people in Orange County, California, have been ordered to evacuate the area over fears that a tank containing a toxic chemical may explode, officials said Friday. Authorities in Orange County said they’re unable to control the valves on a tank at an aerospace manufacturing facility in Garden Grove. “It fails or it blows up,” said Craig Covey, the Orange County Fire Authority incident commander at the scene. Initial evacuation orders were issued Thursday after a “vapor release” at the manufacturing site in Garden Grove. The situation seemed to be stable, but on Friday, the valve on a...

Many of us are mothers—or hope to be mothers one day. Some of us work outside of the home and then come home to our more important roles of being mothers and wives. Some of us devote our entire beings to our families as stay-at-home mothers. Regardless of our current situation, we care deeply about the health of our children and are increasingly skeptical of industrially-produced food and the harmful ingredients used in their production and to increase their shelf life. We’re crunchy (ish) conservative women in our late 20s, 30s, and early 40s. We know most people probably don’t...
