Miss Israel says she randomly bumped into New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s wife in a Brooklyn cafe over the weekend — and that the first lady “brushed me off’’ when she learned she was Israeli. “She sat right next to me. What are the odds?” Shiraz said. SNIP The mayor’s controversial wife — who has taken heat for reportedly once liking posts celebrating the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist massacre in Israel — smiles into the camera, then quickly appears to try to get out of the frame as she says something to Shiraz. The attorney general’s office has ruled against Southwick’s adoption of a temporary moratorium on building large-scale solar arrays and battery energy storage systems in town, which means companies can now apply for a permit to install those systems. “If a company puts in an application, we’d have to move forward through our current process and hear it within 60 days,” said Town Planner Alvin Allen about the ruling. The Southwick Planning Board began discussing the idea of having a zoning bylaw drafted to place a moratorium on them in late December. Those discussions came after Blandford and Westfield residents successfully...

Caution: I don't know about the neutrality of the source. But reports are that thousands of IRGC and Basij members have defected, some to neighboring countries (Armenia, Turkey, Azerbeijan) and others within Iran. Note: To my knowledge, while IRGC is a full-blown military force with it's own "navy" and "air force," and is tasked with border security and extra-territorial action throughout the world, the Basij started as volunteer militia for border defense, but in peacetime, is tasked with suppression of popular uprising.

WASHINGTON, May 5 (Reuters) - U.S. Senate Republicans are seeking to give $1 billion in taxpayer funding to the Secret Service this year for security upgrades, including the White House ballroom. President Donald Trump has said private donations would pay for the estimated $400 million ballroom project. The funding package text does not say how much of the new Secret Service funds will pay for the ballroom. The proposed infusion of Secret Service funds was released late Monday as part of a nearly $72 billion package to fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection through 2029 on...

Butter is having a moment. No longer just a bit player in baking or a back-of-fridge standby, it’s taking center stage — whipped into sculptural boards, swirled into pastas, slathered generously on crusty bread. And yet, most of us still toss the same familiar yellow box into our grocery carts week after week. What actually makes a butter “better,” and which store-bought slabs are worth the splurge? To find out, we talked to chefs, cheesemongers and cookbook authors obsessed with butter — not just for the flavor, but for the science and soul behind it. We asked about butter for...

Copilot said Here’s a clear, scholarly, and surprisingly fascinating look at the little word “is” in the New Testament — and whether the Greek ever means “represents.” No tools were needed here; this is straight linguistic and exegetical analysis. 6. The Conclusion When you synthesize these passages, the result is unmistakable: • Jesus teaches a literal Eucharist (John 6). • Jesus gives a literal Eucharist (John 13). • Paul interprets a literal Eucharist (1 Cor 10–11). • The early Church universally accepts a literal Eucharist. The symbolic only interpretation simply does not fit the grammar, the narrative, the theology, or the...

[Catholic Caucus] Synod report suggests homosexual ‘relationships’ may not be sinfulThe Final Report from Synod on Synodality Study Group 9 uses personal testimonies to question the sinful nature of homosexuality and suggests debate on same-sex ‘marriage’ remains unresolved.A report from the Vatican’s General Secretariat of the Synod published Tuesday suggests a reframing of homosexuality, endorsing testimony without qualification that “sin, at its root, does not consist in the (same-sex) couple relationship” but in “a lack of faith in a God who desires our fulfilment.”The Vatican-commissioned Study Group 9 of the Synod on Synodality published its Final Report May 5, “Theological...

The psyop of Nick Fuentes is now complete. In case you were wondering why the NY Times has been glorifying him and he is botted on social media according to @elonmusk and why he was never arrested over J6 when people who did far less were: He is a Democrat and just admitted to being a “moderate Democrat” on his show. If this is what the Moderate Democrats look like, imagine how much worse the Woke and Radical left democrats are. His sole litmus test is hating Israel. It’s been obvious for a while Nick made a deal with the...

Police are looking for a security guard who allegedly punched a 77-year-old woman aboard a Manhattan subway train last month, all because the senior attempted to sit next to her. According to police sources, the assault occurred at around 3:25 p.m. on April 18 aboard a Southbound D train. The train was at the Broadway-Lafayette Subway Station when the senior attempted to sit next to a woman. “You can’t sit here, it’s too hot,” the suspect allegedly said before elbowing the victim, the sources said. In Parashat Emor, the Torah introduces one of the most unusual services of the Holy Temple: the lechem hapanim, the Showbread — twelve specially baked loaves that are 'placed before God' each week, remaining warm and fresh from Shabbat to Shabbat. The Justice Department announced Tuesday that it has filed a lawsuit against the city of Denver, Colorado, "alleging that the City unconstitutionally bans certain constitutionally protected semi-automatic rifles." "These laws unconstitutionally infringe on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms in common use for lawful purposes," according to the Justice Department. "The Constitution is not a suggestion and the Second Amendment is not a second-class right," Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement. "Denver's ban on commonly owned semi-automatic rifles directly violates the right to bear arms. This Department of Justice will vigorously...

President Donald Trump’s decade-old political ascendancy has rendered adult liberals incapable of defining themselves by anything other than their hatred of the president. Thus, they have made no effort to restrain behavior that decent people in normal times regard as unhinged. For instance, in a clip posted Saturday to the social media platform X, a gray-haired woman wearing a “Make America Kind Again” T-shirt showed off her Trump Derangement Syndrome by treating an effigy of the president like a piñata and savagely beating it with a stick. The back of the woman’s shirt read: “Do Unto Others As You Would...

White Coat Waste is running billboards near NIH's biolab in Montana targeting Fauci-era animal tests by Vincent Munster & other mad scientists. We just noticed Munster, who was part of the project to create COVID-like viruses in Wuhan, has been removed from the HHS directory🧐 WCW has been trying to defund Munster's salary and animal tests at NIAID's Rocky Mountain Lab for years. We previously exposed how in 2018 Munster bought bats from a shady Maryland zoo and infected them with a Chinese bat coronavirus strain first discovered by WIV and EcoHealth Alliance. We also exposed his maximum pain experiments...

Justice Samuel Alito tore into Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s lone dissent in a high-stakes Louisiana redistricting dispute on Monday, calling her arguments "baseless and insulting" after the Supreme Court decided to fast-track implementing its recent redistricting ruling ahead of the 2026 midterms. Alito used a concurring opinion, joined by Justices Neil Gorsuch and Clarence Thomas, to directly rebuke Jackson, saying her "dissent in this suit levels charges that cannot go unanswered." "The dissent goes on to claim that our decision represents an unprincipled use of power," Alito wrote, adding that that was a "groundless and utterly irresponsible charge." The clash...

Explanation: Orion is rarely seen like this. To achieve this majestic vista, you need a camera capable of taking such long duration exposures that faint features in the night sky become revealed. Iconic nebulas that appear include the Orion Nebula, the Flame Nebula, and Barnard's Loop. For contrast, it also helps to have a volcano on the foreground, in this case the Teide volcano on Tenerife on the Canary Islands of Spain. But if you want your Teide volcano snow-covered, you also need good timing -- because that only happens, typically, for a few days each year. Good timing also...
