A video has emerged of Senate Democratic leader Charles E. Schumer in 1996 talking about the importance of ID checks to prevent welfare fraud by illegal immigrants. The video is going viral online as Mr. Schumer and the rest of his party now vehemently oppose Republicans’ voter ID legislation. He describes the GOP-authored SAVE America Act, which requires photo ID at the polls and proof of citizenship to register to vote, as “Jim Crow 2.0” and says it is designed to disenfranchise minorities. “Let’s admit the truth. Everywhere people go, they’re asked for a Social Security card. In fact, one...

When all the ‘release valves’ for a civil society have been welded shut, society stops being ‘civil.’ It seems as if every month a new story comes out of Britain warning about the likelihood of future civil war. Retired colonel Richard Kemp recently gave a television interview during which he warned that the “Islamification” of the United Kingdom would lead to “inevitable conflict.” Several British academics specializing in the preconditions for civil conflict, including professors David Betz and Michael Rainsborough, have argued the same point. Kemp’s point of view carries the added weight of someone who has witnessed insurgent fighting...

...the Beauty of Killing Fascists: This review was certainly planned differently, on the assumption that this would be a conventionally proceeding first night. But now one has to start with the ending. In the final scene, the 'fascist' has the floor - that is, the far-right politician who hasn't said a single word until now, just waited for his execution by a large group of committed anti-fascists, who have made such actions a recurring ritual for seventy years. So Tiago Rodrigues' play ends with a very long monologue in which the prisoner delivers the usual nonsense from JD Vance, AfD,...

The 162-article draft "constitution," however, shows that, if and when the Palestinians have a state of their own, it would actually not be different from the two mini-states they have had for the past two decades: the Hamas regime in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian Authority (PA) in the West Bank. Both Palestinian regimes have miserably failed their people, mainly by depriving them of international aid, democracy, opportunity, free elections, and freedom of speech. Notably, the new "constitution" repeats and reaffirms the long-standing and familiar positions and policies of the PA and Hamas, especially towards Israel and Jews. These...

Buffalo Wild Wings can keep calling its menu item "boneless wings," a federal judge ruled Tuesday, dismissing a lawsuit that claimed the name amounted to false advertising. U.S. District Judge John Tharp in Illinois issued a 10-page ruling allowing the sports bar chain to continue calling its menu item "boneless wings," after a Chicago man filed a lawsuit accusing the restaurant of false advertising, saying the boneless wings were overpriced because they are essentially chicken nuggets. While Aimen Halim argued in the lawsuit that Buffalo Wild Wings should call the product something different, like "chicken poppers," Tharp said the argument...

In 2023, newly disclosed documents related to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein revealed meetings and financial interactions between Epstein and the eminent linguist and public intellectual Noam Chomsky. The disclosures did not accuse Chomsky of criminal conduct. But they confirmed that, years after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting a minor, Chomsky met with him multiple times and discussed financial matters. Chomsky’s response was characteristically blunt: his meetings with Epstein, he said, were “none of your business.” The tone may have been legally defensible. Culturally and symbolically, it was something else. Because Chomsky is not merely a professor emeritus at MIT....

It was a hiss and a miss. A Florida pizzeria is facing backlash for adding iguana pizza to their menu while a cold snap in the Sunshine State stunned the invasive reptiles, causing them to fall from trees. Bucks Coal Fired Pizza in North Palm Beach will stop offering iguana as a pizza topping after receiving a slew of complaints to the Health Department, according to local10. The restaurant put out a viral video with tens of thousands of likes earlier this month, showing pieces of the large lizards being tossed onto cheesy dough and thrown into a pizza oven....

Whoopi Goldberg was forced to make an awkward on-air confession about why her name appears in the Epstein files during Tuesday's episode of The View. Shortly after reality star Savannah Chrisley was controversially introduced as a guest panelist for the rest of the week, the co-host, 70, announced that her name came up in an email exchange between Jeffrey Epstein and a redacted individual. The message centered on an attempt to find a private plane for Goldberg to jet to Monaco to attend an event hosted by Julian Lennon's charity, the White Feather Foundation. As the email appeared on the...

Dorgan's ex-wife's parents and a family friend were also left critically injured in the attack before the gunman took his own life. Shocking footage from the shooting showed Dorgan walking slowly through...

Aizenberg @Aizenberg55: Hamas uses child soldiers. NGOs don’t talk about it. The UN doesn’t report it. Human rights "experts" don't care. But the evidence is public — names, ages, photos, and admissions. 1,000s killed in combat. The Child Soldiers of Gaza ⬇️Feb 17, 2026The long-standing use of child soldiers by Hamas and other Palestinian militant groups is absent from mainstream discourse. A search for news coverage on child soldiers in Gaza since 10/7 yields no results from major media outlets. While the deaths of thousands of children in the Gaza war are tragic and deserve acknowledgment, many of those recorded...

WASHINGTON — The powerful House Oversight Committee is investigating a sadistic, nihilistic terror cult known as “764” that preys on minors and coerces them into sex acts, self-harm, animal torture, and other vile actions. Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Subcommittee on Federal and Government Reform Law Enforcement Chair Clay Higgins (R-La.) demanded Tuesday that the FBI give lawmakers a briefing on its efforts to undermine 764. “Reporting indicates the FBI has opened more than 250 investigations tied to the group, which preys on children and teenagers on popular online platforms,” Commer and Higgins told FBI Director Kash Patel...
