One line in the familiar hymn “Amazing Grace” says, “I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see.” We may have sung it a thousand times without realizing what lost means. The term lost is used in the Bible and in Christian circles to refer to people who have not yet found eternal life in Christ. Jesus said, “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). Those who are spiritually lost are separated from God and unable to find their way back to Him.

A left-wing group is putting up billboards in high-crime cities where President Donald Trump deployed the National Guard, telling military service members that is not what they “signed up for” and encouraging them to refuse “unlawful orders.” Win Without War, a self-described “diverse network of activists and national organizations working for progressive foreign policy,” launched its billboard campaign in September in Washington, DC, before expanding to Chicago, Memphis, and the military bases Ft. Bragg and Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. One of the billboards asks, “Did you go airborne just to pull security for ICE?” before directing people to a...

George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation in 1789 laid the foundation for thanksgiving celebrations on the last Thursday of November. While an annual thanksgiving holiday would not become a federal holiday until 1863 under a proclamation of Abraham Lincoln, Washington’s ideas for such a holiday led to advocacy for it to become a federal holiday throughout the nineteenth century.

CNN military analyst Cedric Leighton began by claiming that anyone can be radicalized, pointing to Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber! If ours is a country of 350 million potential mass murderers, all the more reason not to add to the count by admitting millions of lightly-vetted foreigners! Leighton went on to say that the Afghan's struggles to make ends meet after coming to US might have set him off. Seriously? Perhaps he should have stayed in Afghanistan, that land of plenty! Meghan Hays, a CNN commentator and former Biden aide, claimed that the fact that the Afghan shot at...

Colossians 3:16 (King James Version) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Pray for the two National Guard victims of the Democrat Party. Once again the Pagan Cult is out murdering Christians and Jews in the name of their manmade god. This is a truly evil cult which believes murder is a sacred action gaining you a bunch of virgins in heaven. Why would you need virgins in heaven? Talk about making stuff up...

Temps are going to be below freezing for about four days at my farm house/hunting cabin. The house is unheated. The temps will be getting up to 37°F, 46°F, and 52°F on those days. I have two options. A) Turn the water off from outside. I'd open up the faucets to relieve any existing pressure and turn the water heater down to low. B) Option 2. Leave the water on from outside. Turn the water on inside the house at a trickle. (3 faucets) Leave the water heater as is. Is one method better than the other? thnx

The UK’s Defence Intelligence experts predict 1.9million Russian troops would become casualties in the time it would take to overcome the belt — the best defended position in war-ravaged eastern Donbas. It stretches 30 miles from Slovyansk to Kostyantynivka in Donetsk Oblast [province] of which...

Since its founding in 1923, Hillel has become the most important Jewish campus organization in America and abroad, with a presence on more than 800 campuses across the world. Its programs and leadership are central to campus Jewish life and, looked at a certain way, reflect the broader failure of colleges to educate students these days. Hillel was established on the premise that Jews themselves need to take responsibility for Jewish prospering by participating in cultural events and social programs and by being intellectually challenged in in-depth classes and seminars. The organization also sought to respond to campus antisemitism and...

Now the only way to avoid this shipwreck, and to provide for our posterity, is to follow the counsel of Micah, to do justly, to love mercy, to walk humbly with our God. For this end, we must be knit together, in this work, as one man. We must entertain each other in brotherly affection. We must be willing to abridge ourselves of our superfluities, for the supply of others’ necessities. We must uphold a familiar commerce together in all meekness, gentleness, patience and liberality. We must delight in each other; make others’ conditions our own; rejoice together, mourn together,...

We are thankful for those who have shed their blood on our nation's behalf which have preserved our freedoms and liberties. We are thankful for the vision and labor...

Daily Readings from the USCCBThanksgiving Day [In the Dioceses of the United States]“Ten were cleansed, were they not? Where are the other nine? Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?” Then he said to him, “Stand up and go; your faith has saved you.” Luke 17:17–19He was saved by faith through the expression of gratitude! What a wonderful story to ponder today as we celebrate the national holiday of Thanksgiving! Though Thanksgiving Day is not specifically a Church holy day, gratitude is certainly central to our Christian faith, as is illustrated by today’s Gospel in which...

But when these signs begin to happen, stand erect and raise your heads because your redemption is at hand.” Luke 21:28This passage above concludes a series of teachings by Jesus on the suffering and persecution that will come in this world. But His teachings conclude with this line above, which offers great hope in anticipation of Jesus’ return in glory. This passage speaks of the prophetic vision of Daniel (Daniel 7:13–14) that terrified Daniel when he saw it....

'Someone has exposed me to man-made material; there are voices in my head controlling me,' he told officers. Police advised that Brown should seek medical attention at a hospital, but he became visibly upset by their response to his complaint. 'If I get an MRI and they see what it is, what they gonna say? We gotta get surgery and get that out so we can investigate what the f*** that is,' Brown pushed back.
