People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals filed a state lawsuit Tuesday in New York against the American Kennel Club in hope of forcing the influential group to ditch breeding standards that PETA alleged lead to "deformed, unhealthy" canines. PETA specifically targeted some of the most popular breeds of man's best friend — bulldogs, French bulldogs, pugs, dachshunds and the Chinese shar-pei. Plaintiffs asked Manhattan Supreme Court to stop the AKC from backing these standards that alleged "cause deformities, great suffering and premature death" to these animals. The AKC said that it did not "create breed standards" and that it...

Explanation: Stars are forming in Lynds Dark Nebula (LDN) 1251. About 1,000 light-years away and drifting above the plane of our Milky Way galaxy, LDN 1251 is also less appetizingly known as "The Rotten Fish Nebula." The dusty molecular cloud is part of a complex of dark nebulae mapped toward the Cepheus flare region. Across the spectrum, astronomical explorations of the obscuring interstellar clouds reveal energetic shocks and outflows associated with newborn stars, including the telltale reddish glow from scattered Herbig-Haro objects hiding in the image. Distant background galaxies also lurk in the scene, almost buried behind the dusty expanse....

"This is, unfortunately, a very sad and tragic example of the continued politicization of the intelligence community, of the national security process, and quite frankly, I'm really shocked that individuals who are willing to sacrifice their reputations, their credibility, their decency . . . on something that clearly is just politically based."Wow! Who would ever expect CNN to air such a stunning denunciation of the actions of John Brennan and James Comey in fostering the fake story of Trump's supposed Russian collusion during the 2016 campaign? Oh, wait. That wasn't a denunciation of Brennan and Comey. The quote was by...

Shock waves are still rippling through the country over the NYC Democrat mayoral primary win of “socialist” (really, communist) Muslim radical candidate, Zohran Mamdani. His rise to the top of the party has been fueled in part by his promise to freeze rents in the city. Because, you know, there’s a… HOUSING CRISIS!!! In neighboring New Jersey, authorities are in the process of seizing a beloved local farm owned by the same family for 175 years. My colleague Sarah Anderson covered that horror story: Back in April, Andy received a letter from the Cranbury Township Committee. It stated that if...

The South Hebron Hills seem ancient and as unchanging as ever, but massive change may be in the air. In the aftermath of the Wall Street Journal’s blockbuster disclosure early Sunday morning that half a dozen major Palestinian sheikhs from the Hebron area, all led by Sheikh Wadee’ al-Jaabari (also known as Abu Sanad), are ready to break off from the Palestinian Authority and sign a new Abraham Accords-style deal with Israel as the “Emirates of Hebron,” The Jerusalem Post can now disclose having recently met with Jaabari at his ceremonial tent. Lake Eyre (also called Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre) sits in the heart of the Australian outback, the continent's most arid area. Receiving an average of 140 millimeters (5.5 inches) of rain each year, the lake is a dry, salty plain much of the time. But every once in a while, it transforms into an expansive inland sea.Approximately one-sixth of the Australian continent drains toward Lake Eyre, rather than to an ocean. Water often evaporates before it makes it there, although some will end up in the lake every few years. In 2025, extreme autumn rainfall in Queensland flooded several rivers that...

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) said Wednesday he believes a client list associated with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein once existed but was “destroyed” by the Biden administration. “I think the files existed at one time,” Burchett said in an interview on NewsNation’s “On Balance” with host Leland Vittert. “I think they were destroyed in the previous administration.” The Justice Department (DOJ) released a memo earlier this week concluding that Epstein did not keep such a list that was allegedly used to blackmail high-profile individuals — contradicting conspiracy theories circulating for years that suggested otherwise.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a move that experts said could finally resolve the deficit crisis once and for all, congressional Republicans unveiled a new debt plan to transfer the balance to a Capital One credit card with a 0% intro APR. The revolutionary idea suddenly dawned on lawmakers after decades of negotiations and stress over the nation's seemingly insurmountable debt. Sources said the plan could be traced back to one GOP senator catching a Capital One commercial while watching CSI: Vegas on his cell phone during an important committee hearing. "The answer to our problems has been right in front...

A new drug prevents weight gain and fatty liver by controlling magnesium in cells. It made mice stay slim despite lifelong exposure to an unhealthy diet. Credit: Stock Scientists have unveiled a small-molecule drug that blocks weight gain and liver damage in mice forced to live on sugary, high-fat food. The compound works by limiting magnesium inside mitochondria—the cell’s power plants—so energy keeps burning instead of stalling. Treated mice quickly slim down and show no signs of fatty-liver disease, hinting at a future therapy against obesity, heart trouble, and cancer tied to poor diets. Breakthrough Drug Fights Fat and Liver...

President Donald Trump has officially thrown his weight behind RINO Lindsey Graham—whose record includes climate pandering, open-borders showmanship, and globe-trotting war-baiting—in the 2026 Senate race.“Happy Birthday to Senator Lindsey Graham!” Trump posted, along with a smiling golf-course photo of the two. “He is always there when I need him, and I hope everyone in the Great State of South Carolina will help Lindsey have a BIG WIN in his re-election bid next year.”But if the goal was to rally the MAGA faithful around the career politician, Trump may be in for a surprise.“Thank you, Mr. President! This means a great...
