It is paramount that the American people trust that the commander-in-chief and candidate for the highest office in the country receives a comprehensive, complete, and transparent examination. This includes all of the necessary blood work, physical, and diagnostic assessments that would give the nation a reliable understanding of the individual’s physical fitness to lead the world. While there is an inclination to link President Biden’s diagnosis of prostate cancer to the obvious cover-up of his mental decline, we must also query the trustworthiness of the level of expert care he received while in office. At the same time, it is...

A federal judge on Thursday issued a preliminary injunction and ruled President Trump’s tariffs are unlawful under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). US District Judge Rudolph Contreras, an Obama appointee said Trump’s tariffs are “unlawful.” Contreras said his preliminary injunction only applies to the two companies that filed suit, however, his ruling could open the door to more widespread injunctions. Contreras’ injunction is separate from the permanent injunction issued by a three-judge panel on the Court of International Trade. The Court of International Trade in New York on Wednesday said President Trump exceeded his authority to impose tariffs...

There is no such thing as a "normal" president--there have only been 45 people in history to have held the job and "normal" people don't rise to that level of political power. But some presidents are more normal than others. You have the machine politicians like Harry Truman and Lyndon Johnson, for instance. You have the dynasty presidents--the Roosevelts and Bushes--and you have the scrappers who are smart enough to build machines that endure, like the Clintons. You could slice and dice the categories all you want, but it's hard to put either Barack Obama or Donald Trump into any...

The fix appears to be in for two court cases against President Donald Trump’s tariffs, according to a very knowledgeable source. Last month, five domestic businesses filed a lawsuit in a little known trade court in New York challenging Trump’s tariffs, arguing they have to rely on imported goods that are not reasonably available to them in the U.S. In his April 2 executive order imposing a set of reciprocal tariffs, Trump declared a national emergency, calling trade deficits a threat to the nation’s national security and economy. Trump’s tariffs are central to his economic agenda and designed to reduce...

The US under President Donald Trump has once again taken up the mantle of Western civilization. The State Department raised some eyebrows when it launched a Substack last month. Its latest Substack essay highlighting both the importance of renewing Western civilization and the failure of global liberalism might be enough to give liberal establishmentarians ulcers and national conservatives butterflies. Blaze Media senior politics editor Christopher Bedford said of the recent essay, "To put it simply, the Department of State has been ground zero for undermining Western values and putting American interests last. This turnaround is just incredible to see, and...

The Trump administration has cancelled a $766 million contract with Moderna for the development of its human bird flu vaccine, the company has announced. The pharmaceutical giant was awarded the multi-million dollar contract by the Biden administration last year, as the H5N1 virus began to ravage US dairy and poultry farms. It has since infected more than 70 people in America, killing one, and experts say it is only a matter of time before it starts to spread between humans – an event that could trigger a new pandemic. Moderna, founded just 11 years ago and based in Massachusetts, received...

I was under the illusion that, with Donald Trump back in charge and the wind at his back, Washington Republicans might actually take off the gloves, say eff-it, and take on the swamp. With the failures inherent in the Big Beautiful Bill, it appears I was wrong. I don’t blame Trump. This abysmal betrayal of the American people was written in the halls of Congress. The Republicans in Congress talk a good game, but when it comes to actually doing what they say they’re going to do, it turns out they’re really snake oil salesmen. Not that this is new. Remember...
