The Trump administration has cancelled a $766 million contract with Moderna for the development of its human bird flu vaccine, the company has announced.
The pharmaceutical giant was awarded the multi-million dollar contract by the Biden administration last year, as the H5N1 virus began to ravage US dairy and poultry farms.
It has since infected more than 70 people in America, killing one, and experts say it is only a matter of time before it starts to spread between humans – an event that could trigger a new pandemic.
Moderna, founded just 11 years ago and based in Massachusetts, received over $30 billion in US government funding during the Covid-19 pandemic under the leadership Dr Anthony Fauci, which allowed it to quickly develop and deploy millions of doses of its vaccines.

This contract was a pipeline to keep them alive and now they are nothing more than a pipe dream.
🤙🤙🤙
A judge hasn’t already ruled to reinstate the contract?
I’m shocked!
Give them time.
It is in the interest of public health to rid our pharmacopoeia of safe and effective medicines of the mRNA human health experiments.
“Giverment” LOL
Government has become one of the primary mechanisms by which corporations or the billionaire class (oligarch) in America become richer.
From Bill Gates, George Soros, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, big pharma like Pfizer...
It’s government that through subsidies, protectionism from competition, redefining laws (example in 1989 so called “piracy” was basically nonexistent - these rules were created by big business), mandates to buy their product or service, grants, or assistance programs for those that can’t afford the product, pumps billions into these huge corporations.
(Just two quick examples):
Bezos: https://www.yahoo.com/news/jeff-bezos-risks-angering-trump-102252353.html?
Government controls nearly 1/2 of the nations GDP, and it is there where most of the winners are chosen. Once you get seriously rich, you join the crowd that has influence on the political, bureaucratic, media and even legal system.
The political system runs on money, and those with the money have a disproportionate influence: Lobbying, hiring politicians family members or promising them jobs post politics, buying their art, paying for campaigns, paying millions for a 45 minute speech, paying for a political party, donating to a foundation which the politician or a family member runs...
In MOST cases where the interests of the public and public opinion, are at odds with the oligarchs interests, the oligarch wins: https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/perspectives-on-politics/article/testing-theories-of-american-politics-elites-interest-groups-and-average-citizens/62327F513959D0A304D4893B382B992B Less than 1% gets their way 60-70% of the time, over-riding what the majority actually wants: China and trade is a perfect example. The US government was acting on behalf of a small minority and it did not matter if it was a Republican or Democrat in office.
It is so blatant and obvious that it becomes humorous at times: nicknamed the “Mickey Mouse Protection Act” : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright_Term_Extension_Act
It’s everywhere: Texas years past: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/rick-perrys-gardasil-u-turn-heres-what-actually-happened-back-in-2007/ They gave the governor money for his campaign, and he mandated their HPV vaccine for public schools.
The political apparatus needs money. These people and corporations have money. They get a say.
The legal system is biased in favor of those with the money. They can afford the high end attorneys, legal experts, etc.
The media is biased towards those with the money paying for advertising or even who own them.
The bureaucracy is influenced by those with the money because you have a cozy relationship in many cases between certain industries and the government.
So what you end up with a government which makes policies that really favor the rich (oligarchs) and giant corporations. Government pushes money their way through the rules they create.
