See ya later, alligator. Many Floridians have had bizarre encounters with alligators — but this one might take the cake. A Sunshine State resident took to Reddit to share their frightening experience with two creepy reptiles that came up to their home’s front door, which was all captured on the family’s Ring camera. The footage shows two enormous alligators dilly-dallying around the home’s front porch. When one of the alligators saw that no one was coming to the door to welcome them into their home, they lingered a little bit longer before growing impatient. The video then showed one of...

(Reuters) -A U.S. judge barred the Trump administration from rapidly deporting hundreds if not thousands of migrants to countries other than their own without giving them a chance to show they fear being persecuted, tortured or killed there. U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy's preliminary injunction on Friday was the latest setback to an immigration crackdown launched by President Donald Trump when he took office on January 20.

...My interviews with the two recent converts took place over the course of a year. Do you believe in the resurrection? I asked them. In heaven? Where do you stand on demons? But what I saw of the two young men’s faith, finally, was not through their answers to my generic questions about Christianity. It was reflected in their faces and enacted in their gestures as I attended religious services beside them. ... I discovered the two young comedians were not outliers when it comes to my generation’s relationship to faith in Britain. Not only did I meet a host...

Trump border czar Tom Homan said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that he found it concerning Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) traveled to El Salvador on the “taxpayer dime” to meet Kilmar Abrego Garcia. The Department of Defense (DoD) recently updated its guidance on the process to reinstate service members who left the military because of the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Though some service members are returning to the military, it would be premature to call this a win as the policy does not do adequate justice to service members who have been harmed and doesn’t address many concerns raised by advocates of this issue. To put the recent policy into perspective, let’s first consider the severance package offered to transgender sailors who voluntarily leave the service. In March, the Navy announced that due to...

Democrat Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs has vetoed the ICE Act, which would have mandated state and local law enforcement to cooperate with federal officials to facilitate deportations. The legislation, Senate Bill 1164, aimed to have local authorities assist Immigration and Customs Enforcement with identification, detainment, and deportation of illegal aliens. Additionally, the bill barred any town or city from declaring “Sanctuary” policies that would restrict or hinder ICE actions. In her veto letter, Hobbs wrote, “Today I vetoed Senate Bill 1164. Arizonans, not Washington, DC politicians, must decide what’s best for Arizona.” “I will continue to work with the federal...

https://babylonbee.com/news/male-churchgoers-partake-in-beloved-easter-tradition-of-being-forced-to-wear-pastel-polo-shirtsU.S. - The nation's churchgoing men have reported that they had a great time partaking in their beloved annual tradition of being forced to wear pastel shirts on Easter Sunday. The tradition goes back as far as the early church, where the apostles begrudgingly wore pastel robes at their wives' bidding each time they celebrated the risen Lord. "We just love letting our wives pick out pink, baby blue, or pastel green polo shirts for us to wear all day long," one man wearing a pink shirt mumbled as his wife stood nearby listening. "It's a really great tradition. We...

A song about depression...When I come home baby And I've been working all night long I put my daughter on my knee, and she say "Daddy what's wrong?" I put my head on her shoulder She whispers in my ear so sweet You know what she says? "Daddy you're a fool to cry You're a fool to cry And it makes me wonder why." You know, I got a woman And she lives in the poor part of town and I go see her sometimes And we make love, so fine I put my head on her shoulder She says,...

The story of Black conservatism begins in the aftermath of the Civil War. Freedmen who sought to rebuild their lives aligned with the Republican Party—the party of Lincoln—championing abolition, civil rights, and Reconstruction. Leaders like Frederick Douglass and Booker T. Washington personified this era, urging self-reliance, education, and economic empowerment as the path to equality. Yet, by the mid-20th century, the tectonic plates of American politics shifted. The Great Depression, the New Deal, and the Civil Rights Era drew Black Americans into the Democratic fold. The Republican Party’s pivot toward a “Southern Strategy” further alienated Black voters, leading to the...

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/04/president-trump-lifts-commercial-fishing-ban-central-pacific/President Donald Trump signed two executive orders and a proclamation aimed at reducing regulatory burdens on the U.S. fishing industry, and combating unfair foreign trade practices and reopening 400,000 square miles in the Pacific Ocean to commercial fishing. The area, previously protected by Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama to preserve the marine environment and historic sites around Wake, Baker, Howland, and Jarvis Islands, Johnston and Palmyra Atolls, and Kingman Reef, was deemed redundant with existing laws.Trump’s “Unleashing American Commercial Fishing in the Pacific” proclamation argues that commercial fishing can coexist with ecosystem and wildlife preservation. After reviewing Proclamations 8336 and...

On April 20th, 2019, Cardinal George Pell (imprisoned in Victoria, Australia, as a result of conducting a mass) quoted in his Prison Journal this sentence from a letter to him from young Catholic Seminarians: ” We know that your trials and sufferings, your white martyrdom, will be a source of great fruit for the Church in Australia, and the Church at large.” Pell wrote about this thought: ” I pray that this will be so, not least to counteract the damage, confusion and disillusion provoked by the conviction.” But we do not have to live in the shadow of the...

The Trump administration's criminal referral targeting New York Attorney General Letitia James for reported mortgage fraud likely never would have unfolded if not for the Democrat's years of targeting the president in court, a New York City real estate attorney and expert told Fox News Digital. "To be perfectly frank, this is a retaliatory case brought by the president for what the attorney general did to him over the last several years," New York City attorney Pierre Debbas, partner and founding member of real estate law firm Romer Debbas, told Fox News Digital in a Zoom interview Thursday morning. "Both...

Cornell University has invited Jew-bashing entertainer Kehlani to perform on campus May 7 — defending the move as just giving its students what they want. Kehlani has a music video that starts with, “Long live the Intifada” — an inflammatory phrase that critics say promotes violence against Israelis and Jews — shared a map online that eliminates the state of Israel and refused to condemn Hamas for the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre. The invite to the multi-Grammy Award-nominated R&B artist comes after the Trump administration froze $1 billion in federal funding to the upstate Ivy League school amid a civil-rights...

RANKED-CHOICE VOTING IS ONE OF THE GREATEST THREATS TO DEMOCRACY. It is a total, and very fraudulent, JOKE! https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/5253950-ranked-choice-voting-unpopular-legislatures/Action in state legislative sessions are proving that ranked-choice voting is as unpopular as ever. After last year’s string of losses on state ballot measures, some progressive activists claimed they would fare better with lawmakers than they had with voters. Yet legislatures are not enacting ranked-choice this year — instead, they are banning the convoluted scheme. The idea behind ranked-choice voting is to get voters to express “preferences” about multiple candidates, rather than just voting for one. This raises questions about one-person,...
