Trump’s declaration of a National Energy Emergency, the U.S. Department of the Interior will implement emergency permitting procedures to accelerate the development of domestic energy resources and critical minerals. These measures are designed to expedite the review and approval, if appropriate, of projects related to the identification, leasing, siting, production, transportation, refining, or generation of energy within the United States. The new permitting procedures will take a multi-year process down to just 28 days at most...

I believe so. It lists "uranium" and "critical minerals".
If true, this will be amazing. The Left has worked hard to make it nearly impossible to get permits.
Trump understands that bureaucracy, especially bureaucracy implemented in this fashion by the Left, is an impossible drag on any sector of the economy.
The defunding of leftist environmental groups will also cripple their attempts at local litigation.
But what about the snail darter and the chartreuse verigated desert lizard? Someone has to examine each of these locations for potential harm.
Just give the federal lands to the states. Future Rat POTUS problem solved.

We had a location denied once in the national forest due to breeding of red cockaded woodpeckers. We had to pay some goober to sit up in a tree and count nesting pairs. But if you move off of Obamao land a few hundred feet, those rules didn’t apply.
You wish. Environmental claims that cross State lines can easily be found (such as water or air quality, migratory birds, etc.) and those are pursuant to treaties.

Historically, it has taken 10 - 20 years to open a new mine in the USA, build a refinery and get up to full production. I hope this can get that overall timeline under 7 years.
I suspected for a long time that taxpayer money was being used to advance Leftism and inhibit or eliminate Conservatism, but I had no idea of the scale.
When Trump went after USAID right off the bat, many of us, myself included, wondered about that.
Now we know.
I was just watching the Mike Benz interview with Joe Rogan, and Benz said that the billion dollars or so that he was going to withhold from Ukraine unless they fired the prosecutor investigating Burisma...that billion dollars was USAID money.

So I am heartened to see at least some sources of their money drying up. THAT, my FRiend...is GOOD news!

Great on paper. Those “critical minerals” need to be processed, and I’ve heard that only China is equipped. So you had better get equipped PDQ. They are not going to wait on invading Taiwan with about 32,000,000 now unemployed on account of Trump’s trade wars. Very tight timetable.
