Oh well I will get a lot flak from this post, but is "Let it Be" an Easter song?

Sir Paul, and Sir Richard sure looked young. (Sir Richard, aka Ringo)

...is "Let it Be" an Easter song? No, it is not. Even if you take the position that the Mary spoken about in the song is the Blessed Virgin Mary (which the song writer Paul McCartney has denied--he has said it refers to his own mother, named Mary), the song doesn't have anything to do with Easter.

His mother died when he was 14.
Later he said he had a dream where his mother came as a soothing voice of simple words.
Hence the simple words of the song.

If my memory serves me right, the Beatles were those mop topped foreigners who ruined American popular music. I think they have all passed away by now.

The best song Mr.Mcartney ever wrote. That being said, I was never a fan of the BeeGees.

Paul is really talented. Even though he died in a car crash on a Tuesday morning had to be replaced by Billy Shears.

I enjoyed it, thanks and Happy Easter. We are blessed.

I remember when the LP came out after Abbey Road, and everyone thought they were getting back together, but it was a collection of earlier studio jams and the ‘rooftop concert’ and in reality the band members had long gone their separate ways. Lots of good tunes on that album.

A 50 year old new video?
I watched the original back then and won’t have anything to do with Disney+

That was great to hear again. Love that we see Billy Preston with the rest of them. Macca really had a beautiful voice. Harrison on guitar is the GOAT. Thanks for posting, DallasBiff.
