"The integration of the military racially was a huge success. -- Pete Hegseth Sure sounds a lot like George Wallace circa 1963, doesn't it?? Hegseth might as well have been barring the Pentagon's door! That is, if you believe Kate Bedingfield, Biden's former communications director, now spinning wildly on DEI as a CNN commentator! Today's CNN This Morning began a segment on Trump's changes to the military with a clip of Hegseth during his confirmation process making a statement that included the line above in praise of the racial integration of the military. Bedingfield bizarrely cast Hegseth as the modern...

Jim Acosta issued a bitter final diatribe as he confirmed that he is quitting CNN after being booted out of his prime slot. Concluding his CNN Newsroom show just before 11am ET Tuesday, Costa, 53, looked directly into the camera and said: 'One final message - don't give in to the lies. 'Don't give in to the fear. Hold on to the truth and to hope. 'Even if you have to get out your phone. Record that message. I will not give in to the lies. I will not give in to the fear posted on your social media so...

Sen. Lisa Murkowski issued a joint statement with the Danish member of parliament who holds two seats representing Greenland, emphasizing that the United States should view the icy landmass as a “an ally” rather than “an asset.” “The appeal of Greenland is easy to understand. It is strategically located for defense, shipping, and more. It is also a storehouse for all sorts of minerals, the building blocks of society that will determine who leads—and controls—the industries of the future,” the statement began. “Of course, a businessman turned president would be interested. But Greenland is not for sale. The question has...

A violent Tren de Aragua ringleader wanted over the viral, caught-on-camera break-in in Aurora, Colorado was among the illegal immigrants rounded up in deportation raids in New York City Tuesday, law enforcement sources told The Post. Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco, 25, was nabbed when heavily armed DEA agents and Homeland Security officers stormed an Ogden Ave. apartment building in the Bronx in the early hours, the sources said. The gangbanger, who sources described as a ringleader of the vicious Venezuelan prison gang, had a warrant out for a slew of charges — including kidnapping, burglary and menacing. Zambrano-Pacheco was allegedly among the...

Schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District are now distributing “red cards” – also known as “Know Your Rights” cards – and other resources to remind immigrant community members what their legal rights are. The cards, which are about the size of a credit card, will help immigrant Angelenos “assert their constitutional rights in encounters with federal law enforcement officials,” according to the Community Resource Guide for Immigrant Angelenos, which was put together by the L.A. Mayor Karen Bass’ Office of Immigrant Affairs and is now being made available by LAUSD.

CNN political analyst Scott Jennings and Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell got into a heated debate on Monday over billionaire Elon Musk’s widely-debated gesture during an inaugural event for President Trump last week. “I don’t understand why this guy keeps getting the benefit of the doubt, whether or not he believes this stuff, personally,” Rampell said while appearing on CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip. “We’ve moved on from Trump derangement syndrome to Elon derangement syndrome,” Jennings quipped in response. “So, he has a long record of supporting the Jewish people, number one. Number two, anybody who is asserting this thing...

As discussed in my previous post, one of President Trump’s first-day Executive Orders — the one entitled “Unleashing American Energy” — directed a reconsideration of EPA’s so-called “Endangerment Finding” (EF) of 2009. The EF is the EPA regulatory action where it claimed to determine that CO2 and other “greenhouse gases” qualify as “pollutants” under the Clean Air Act because they are a “danger to public health and welfare.” President Trump’s January 20 EO directs that EPA, within 30 days, submit “recommendations to the Director of OMB on the legality and continuing applicability of the Administrator’s findings.” Since the EF is...

Michigan Democrat Sen. Gary Peters announced Tuesday that will not seek reelection next year. His departure is expected to result in a highly contested race for the Senate seat in the battleground state. The 66-year-old Peters is unexpectedly retiring after just two terms. He led the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee through a successful 2022 election cycle in which his party won a number of hotly contested races to keep control of the upper chamber. But two years later, Republicans flipped several highly competitive seats, costing Democrats their Senate majority, according to the Associated Press.

State AGs urge Costco to 'ditch DEI' as other companies jump ship from progressive HR efforts.. Attorneys general in 19 states are warning Costco "to end all unlawful discrimination imposed by the company through diversity, equity, and inclusion" policies to reflect President Donald Trump's recent executive order booting DEI out of federal agencies and warning private sectors to do the same. "Racial discrimination is both immoral and illegal. Race-based employment hiring violates state and federal law, and as the chief law enforcement officer of Kansas, I intend to enforce the law vigorously," Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach .. Trump's executive...

-snip- Moscow has had many chances but repeatedly failed to shed its imperial skin. Defeats in the Crimean War and the Russo-Japanese War did not prompt a reckoning. Unlike Spain, Portugal or Belgium, which relinquished colonies and transitioned into post-imperial nations, Russia viewed its losses as temporary setbacks. Even the Soviet Union’s collapse after the humiliating defeat in Afghanistan didn’t extinguish this imperial ethos. Russia’s forerunner, Muscovy owed its rise in the 13th century to the role of a tax collector for the Golden Horde, allowing its princes to amass wealth and outmaneuver rivals. In contrast, Kyiv had already thrived...

JD spent 20 minutes being interviewed by Margaret Brennan on Face the Nation. In what as a fare more combative interview than Biden or Harris faced in their entire administration, and absolutely stole the show, creating a new meme/internet slogan in the process.

A new study uncovers a novel mechanism through which brown fat is transformed into heat, offering protection against obesity-related diseases. Obesity affects 650 million people worldwide and significantly contributes to the development of cardiometabolic diseases and increases the risk of cancer. Guadalupe Sabio, head of the Organ Crosstalk in Metabolic Diseases Group at the National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO), and Cintia Folgueira, from CNIO and the National Centre for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC), have identified a key mechanism by which the body burns brown fat and converts it into heat. This process helps protect against obesity and related metabolic disorders. Their...

Beege had a great article earlier today (yes, I know that is redundant) detailing ICE's efforts to deport violent criminal aliens. The progress is remarkable, the resistance from local government officials notable, and the Pravda Media propaganda appalling as always. But one thing stands out to me as ICE sweeps up pedos, rapists, and other well-vetted model citizens: they are apprehending hundreds every day with the efficiency of an atomic clock ticking off milliseconds. As the leftists whine about invading schools (not happening) and mamacitas being terrorized by Tom Homan chasing them with cattle prods (not happening), the real story...

NATIONAL BLUEBERRY PANCAKE DAY On January 28th, National Blueberry Pancake Day brings the sweetness of blueberries to your pancake, flapjack, or hotcake. #BlueberryPancakeDay The early pancakes consisted mostly of flour and milk and were more like biscuits. Later, eggs, milk, a leavening agent (such as baking powder), and fat were added creating the fluffier, lighter pancake we know today. Adding blueberries to the pancake batter when mixing up the ingredients may result in a bluish hue. To avoid this, add them right after dropping dollops of batter to the hot griddle. Blueberries add a freshness to pancakes and nutrients like...

The Disney Grooming Syndicate handed the Captain America franchise to a star who doesn’t believe Captain America should represent … America. This is a kind of Dixie Chicks moment because the idiot did it overseas in Italy. Due to extensive reshoots, Captain America: Brave New World’s budget is reported to have hit something like $400 million. The sequel hits theaters in about two weeks and arrives after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels tanked. Nevertheless, here is America’s new Captain America, Anthony Mackie, making it clear that he does not believe that a character named Captain America who...

GOMA, Democratic Republic of Congo, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Dead bodies lay in the streets, gunfire rang out and hospitals were overwhelmed in east Congo's largest city Goma where M23 rebels backed by Rwanda faced pockets of resistance on Tuesday from army and pro-government militias. A day after the rebels marched into the lakeside city, protesters in the capital attacked a U.N. compound and embassies including those of Rwanda, France and the United States, expressing anger at what they said was foreign interference.
