Somewhere in the bowels of the CNN Building in Atlanta is a video clip that has been on file since the channel began in 1980. The footage is of a military band performing “Nearer My God To Thee.” The explicit instructions are that this particular tape is not to be released for broadcast “till the end of the world confirmed.” Morbid perhaps, but Ted Turner can’t be disparaged for thinking of the big picture. His CNN was going on the air with the then-traditional national anthem and would stop for nothing until the apocalypse. This being the dawn of the...

The CIA purposely kept intelligence from President Trump during his first administration, according to a senior CIA officer who was caught on a hidden camera. This is called treason. The man later realized he was being filmed and demanded he see the camera. "You hear conspiracies, allegations... but this guy was actually talking about how they withheld intelligence from the president..." O'Keefe said.

ABC was forced to pay out $15 million to Trump on behalf of Stephanopolous' defamatory "Trump's a rapist" statements. Yet it remains perfectly fine to label Trump an insurrectionist. (And even people who voted for Trump believe that about him.) It's also remains a fireable if not outright criminal offense to suggest Trump won the 2020 Election --- or that even if Biden did fairly win, that there was at least some fraud involved. Beyond the pardons, how can the record be rectified and clarified for the general public? Is there a way to ever get to the bottom of...

As we've been covering this week, Episcopalian Bishop Mariann Budde used the National Prayer Service on Tuesday to go after President Donald Trump and his positions on LGBTQ+ issues and immigration. The very next day, she appeared on ABC News' "The View," where the radical leftist co-hosts, who had even been in denial that Trump was even inaugurated once more, predictably fawned over her. Once the applauding crowd quieted down, co-host Joy Behar, who is particularly anti-Trump, got right to it. "So let me ask you this. You seem to have more fearlessness than anyone in Congress right now, ma'am,"...

Excavations at an ancient Iraqi site called Shakhi Kora have revealed new clues about the origins of the world's earliest governing institutions, according to research led by the University of Glasgow. The research published in the journal Antiquity today (Wednesday 4 December 2024) suggests these early governing institutions emerged partly from their ability to provide large-scale meals, potentially as payment for labour. However, the later abandonment of these centralised structures, without signs of violent overthrow or environmental stress, points to a deliberate rejection of centralised forms of organisation that likely involved increasing top-down control...Shakhi Kora is a Late Chalcolithic site in...

A team of archaeologists uncovered a trove of weapons, armor, and other goods in Denmark, in advance of a motorway being built on the site. The deposit is a weapon sacrifice—literally, the weapons were the things sacrificed. Over 1,500 years ago, an Iron Age community deposited over 100 lances, spears, swords, knives, arrowheads, and more across two houses on the site. Taken together, the deposit is a compelling look into the social and military wheelings and dealings of the group that inhabited the region.Based on the way the items were deposited, the archaeological team concluded that the site was not a...
