United States Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy issued a warning to Americans on Friday about the link between alcohol and cancer. Murthy’s advisory outlines the direct link between the beverage and increased cancer risk, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The news release continued: The Surgeon General’s Advisory includes a series of recommendations to increase awareness to help minimize alcohol-related cancer cases and deaths, including updating the existing Surgeon General’s health warning label on alcohol-containing beverages. “Alcohol is a well-established, preventable cause of cancer responsible for about 100,000 cases of cancer and...

Hamilton police responded to a robbery at a Bank of Montreal where a guy tried to rob the place after showing up on a bicycle. ... "Democracy Dies in Darkness" according to the Washington Post, but when democracy is annulled in broad daylight Politico thinks it is no big deal as long as it is the election of a candidate they oppose that is being cancelled.Such is the attitude of the European edition of Politico towards the Romanian presidential election that was cancelled by that country's Constitutional Court due to what they claimed was interference by Russia on social media. On Wednesday, Politico's Giselle Ruhiyyih Ewing gleefully reported in a six-paragraph brief that "Romanian appeals court upholds scrubbing fishy presidential election."

Kamala Harris appears to have forgotten the words to The Pledge of Allegiance

The “grooming gang” label is deployed euphemistically to sanitise depraved crimes and make them acceptable for public consumption. So we should start by calling it what it truly is. If you read the testimony of the victims – and believe me, it’s tough – it’s clear they were rape torture gangs, perpetrating the most heinous sexual crimes imaginable on an industrial scale. For two decades, the plight of thousands of young girls, barely teenagers, was swept under the carpet. Police forces, councils, charities, and politicians elevated community relations over protecting vulnerable women from monstrous sexual violence. They allowed little girls...

VIDEOThey are trying! Oh how they are trying waaaaay too hard to convince the public to accept Bird Flu vaccines! The problem for them is that after the COVID vaccine experience, few to almost none of the public are willing to ever again take a vaccine because the "experts" recommend it. Especially when those "experts" come in the form of obvious vaccine hustler nutcases such as Peter Hotez and Bill Gates.

Consciousness defines what it means to be human, yet its mechanisms remain elusive. Scientists know that anesthetics can “turn off” consciousness, but how they achieve this is still unclear. Two dominant theories attempt to explain consciousness: the Integrated Information Theory (IIT), which posits that consciousness arises from the integration of information, and the Global Workspace Theory (GWT), which suggests it emerges from the exchange of information across different parts of the brain. In 1989, British mathematician and Nobel laureate Roger Penrose proposed an unconventional hypothesis linking consciousness to quantum entanglement. He argued that the human mind could solve problems that...

The report comes from the Government Accountability Office (GAO), a nonpartisan watchdog group that investigates the U.S. government. It’s narrowly focused on “cloud seeding,” the practice of adding silver iodide crystals to clouds to make them bust and give up that sweet sweet rain. As droughts hit the western states on a routine basis, many local governments are attempting to use cloud seeding to bring the rains. It’s not working well. The GAO conceded there’s some validity to cloud seeding, but that it’s almost impossible to measure its effectiveness. “Cloud seeding may increase water availability and result in economic, environmental,...

My X feed suddenly started featuring posts about the infamous and utterly heinous story that Muslim rape gangs in Northern England had, for more than three decades (from the late 1970s to 2013), exploited hundreds of thousands of British children. Worse, they were enabled by British police and politicians afraid of “inflaming tensions” with the Muslim population. Why the sudden interest in an 11-year-old story? It turns out that Elon Musk, who is unafraid of being imprisoned by Britain’s increasingly totalitarian government, learned about what happened and went on an X rampage, forcing the story into the daylight, including PM...

As an amateur historian -- and probably not a good one -- I go nuts when I see amateurish fictions tendered as core premises. This is no more frequently found than in Hollywood; but do not kid yourself, it is not confined to Hollywood. The following famous movie scene (based on the play) is a case in point, one worse than most: Camelot is unique. And we have, by far and away, the most equitable climate in all England -- Camelot (1967)A) The King Arthur stories hail back to the collapse of Celtic Briton, after the Roman garrison left in...

True prosperity makes a sound, and that sound is the wailing and lamentations of tycoons whining about labor shortages.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) announced Tuesday that she would be endorsing Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.) for House Speaker, a notable win for the Louisiana Republican given Greene has at times found herself at odds with him. “Here’s what I’m asking my colleagues to do: Let’s put aside our pride, let’s put aside our egos and let’s put aside the infighting,” Greene said in a video posted on the social platform X. “It’s time to come together as Republicans, and it’s time to do whatever it takes to make sure that we deliver the mandate that the American people told...

People across America are feeling the sting of the rising cost of eggs in part being driven by the bird flu outbreak. In October, Vice President-elect Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) pointed to the skyrocketing price of eggs as evidence of President Joe Biden (D) and Vice President Kamala Harris’s (D) economic policies, per Breitbart News. “Eggs, when Kamala Harris took office, were short of $1.50 a dozen. Now, a dozen eggs will cost you around $4, thanks to Kamala Harris’ inflationary policies,” he said.

President-elect Donald Trump reissued support for House Speaker Mike Johnson’s attempt on Friday to remain Speaker of the House. Trump appears steadfast that Johnson is the person to lead House Republicans in at least the first two years of his second administration. Not all House Republicans are impressed with Johnson, who tried in December to pass a huge spending bill filled with pork. A much smaller bill became law with Democrat support after Trump pressured Johnson to reduce its size. Previously, Johnson most notably rushed through a reauthorization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) with few revisions or measures...

The Houthis might take the top award in 2024 for the Navy’s most persistent problem. The Iran-backed organization startled the international world toward the end of 2023 but solidified itself as a threat to commercial shipping in 2024.Over the course of last year, the U.S. with its allies and partners continued Operation Prosperity Guardian, a collaboration created in December 2023 meant to deter Houthi attacks against commercial shipping. The year also saw the U.S. take a more offensive role by striking a number of Houthi weapons and facilities, saying that they were defensive actions. In responding to the new threat...
