An audio recording of a phone conversation has been circulating online, in which one speaker refers to Russian volunteers dying in Ukraine as “spare people” and dismisses their value “from a social perspective.” The voice on the recording is widely believed to be that of State Duma deputy Alexander Borodai, head of the “Union of Donbas Volunteers” and former leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic. The exact date of the recording is unknown, though a version was posted on VK in mid-September. Pro-war supporters haven’t questioned the claim that it’s Borodai’s voice—in fact, last week, Mikhail Polynkov, a Russian...

One of the bleakest places on Earth today is the central processing facility for the remains of dead soldiers in the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, the logistical hub of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Designed to process hundreds of corpses at a time, this sprawling mega-morgue has been hopelessly overwhelmed for many months. Footage from the inside, posted by witnesses on social media, shows hundreds of bodies in various stages of decomposition and limbs strewn across the corridor floors. In wooden boxes lining the walls from floor to ceiling, row after row after row, are the lucky ones: those whose bodies...

Democrats will learn nothing from their electoral drubbing. If they were capable of self-reflection and intellectual growth, they would not need “safe spaces” or social media platforms dedicated to mass censorship. When you are so afraid of dissent that you feel psychologically compelled to label all contrary opinions as “hate speech,” you are not a fully functioning adult willing to process new information and adapt accordingly. You are a toddler whose reflexive instinct is to cry, scream, and call everyone a “poopy head” when you don’t get your way. We have seen the “poopy head” routine play out on cable...

The October, 2024 National Instant background Check System (NICS) numbers are in. They do not show a significant difference in the trends. Both October gun sales and NICS checks are the fifth highest for October, which has been a consistent theme in 2024. While a bit lower than in 2023, the gun sales and NICS checks are still high by historical standards. Gun sales for October 2024 are estimated at 1.26 million firearms, about 94% of what they were in October 2023. NICS checks for October were about 5% higher than they were in 2023. Both NICS checks and NICS-related...

Year: B(II).First readingApocalypse 14:1-5The redeemed have Christ and his Father's name written on their foreheadsIn my vision I, John, saw Mount Zion, and standing on it a Lamb who had with him a hundred and forty-four thousand people, all with his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. I heard a sound coming out of the sky like the sound of the ocean or the roar of thunder; it seemed to be the sound of harpists...

Seems it's not enough to try to coax us into eating bugs ... For a movement that claims to be all about saving the Earth, the green environmentalist globalists sure do come up with repulsive ideas. Here's their latest, according to the Washington Free Beacon: A beer brewed from recycled toilet water has become a hit among attendees at the annual United Nations Climate Change Conference. "At first their eyes widen," Samantha Thian, a leader of Singapore's youth delegation at the U.N. climate summit in Baku, Azerbaijan, told the New York Times. "Then we reassure them. They're usually coming back...

As the specter of World War III looms with tensions rising, FEMA has stepped in with a guide to surviving a nuclear attack, signaling the grim possibility as the war in Ukraine intensifies and Middle Eastern conflicts heat up. The agency's instructions echo the bygone Cold War era, offering a modernized set of protocols for Americans to safeguard their families against the destructive power of a nuclear explosion. The looming threat of nuclear conflict has been underscored by a newly released map indicating which regions would be safest in the event of an escalation by Putin, alongside another mapping out...

BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) — A little-known, far-right populist took the lead in Romania’s presidential election Sunday, electoral data showed, and will likely face leftist Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu in a runoff in two weeks, an outcome that rocked the country’s political landscape. Calin Georgescu, who ran independently, led the polls with around 22% of the vote, while Ciolacu of the Social Democratic Party, or PSD, trailed at 20%. Elena Lasconi of the Save Romania Union party, or USR, stood at about 18%, and George Simion, the leader of the far-right Alliance for the Unity of Romanians, or AUR, took 14.1%....

Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel has told the BBC the gas deals she made with Russia were intended to help German firms and kept the peace with Moscow. She also insisted the war with Ukraine would have started earlier if she hadn’t blocked Kyiv’s entry into Nato in 2008. "We would have seen military conflict even earlier. It was completely clear to me that President Putin would not have stood idly by and watched Ukraine join Nato. In a rare interview since she stepped down from politics three years ago, Mrs Merkel expresses concern about Vladimir Putin’s renewed threats of...

It's nothing fancy like brining or basting. It's just simply smart. Do a quick search for roast turkey recipes, and you’ll come across countless tips and tricks for keeping your bird moist. Injecting, brining, dry brining, spatchcocking, basting—my head spins just thinking about it. Every year I carefully consider all of these tricks, contemplating if I want to cut the backbone out of the turkey and hear the sickening crack of bones (I do not), or if I even have room for a giant turkey and its brine in my already cramped fridge. When I can’t muster the energy to...

The J6 riot was not an insurrection but a protest that escalated into an out-of-control riot because then-Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund was denied intelligence about potential threats that day and denied National Guard backup that he was begging for. In the cold light of hindsight, a new Trump administration will ensure that the narrative of J6 is rewritten to reflect the truth of that tragic day instead of the lies spun by Democrat Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi’s J6 committee. Sund is a crucial witness to history. Pelosi made him her scapegoat, firing him immediately, but she knew that he...

The University of Texas System announced Wednesday it will expand its free tuition program for lower-income families to include all families making $100,000 or less a year. The Board of Regents gave preliminary approval to the plan, which is an expansion of its Promise Plus program. The free tuition for undergraduate students will begin in the fall of 2025 and will cover tuition and fees. In a press release the UT System said the move will make it one of the few in the U.S. to offer “such a sweeping financial aid benefit.”

Anumber of drones were spotted over and near RAF Lakenheath in England on Nov. 20, the Air Force told The War Zone in response to our query about the incident. “The number of UASs fluctuated and they ranged in size/configuration,” a spokesperson for U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa (USAFE) told us “The UASs were actively monitored and installation leaders determined that none of the incursions impacted base residents or critical infrastructure.” There were unconfirmed reports that F-15E Strike Eagles were sent aloft to chase the drones and that flight operations at the base were affected. The...

Russian food inflation remains rampant, with butter prices rising 30% since December last year. Sunflower oil and vegetables are among the other items seeing ongoing price rises. Russia's central bank last month hiked interest rates to 21% — their highest level in over 20 years — but the high rates have shown few signs of dampening inflation so far. Russian President Vladimir Putin has denied that Russia has exchanged "butter for guns," as the country's leadership has deflected blame for price rises onto "unfriendly" countries. -snip- "To say we spend too much money for guns and forget about butter —...

Two Jewish brothers - a civilian and an IDF soldier, were caught in an attack by an Arab mob last month in the Ma'ale Hazeitim neighborhood on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. As the two walked through the neighborhood, Arabs began to gather around the soldier. The civilian repelled the crowd and evacuated his brother from the scene. Another soldier in the area was attacked as well and fired in the air to chase away the attackers. About two weeks later, police arrested the civilian claiming he attacked the Arabs who attempted to hurt his brother. The Police Prosecution...

For 15 years, former Texas schoolteacher Kayla Morris put every dollar she could save into a home for her growing family. When she and her husband sold the house last year, they stowed away the proceeds, $282,153.87, in what they thought of as a safe place — an account at the savings startup Yotta held at a real bank. Morris, like thousands of other customers, was snared in the collapse of a behind-the-scenes fintech firm called Synapse and has been locked out of her account for six months as of November. She held out hope that her money was still...
